Love seeing trail content like this! would love to see more like how or why you would use a certain tool on the trail. Haven't done imogene, always do black bear but this makes me wanna hit it next year instead.
Definitely would like to do something like this in my 4RNR,nothing too crazy or dangerous unless you're careless. Those are some nice views, just breathtaking.
This is a great trail for that if you don't mind a little bit of crawling (not really that bad just some rocks here and there) Especially in the summer. This trail is absolutely gorgeous in the summer! and I have actually done this trail bone stock in the TRD Offroad so it's definitely doable!
That was one hell of a day to be up there, especially for a first-time Imogene driver like me. The snow at the summit was sketchy, but well worth the view!
Awesome. I know the production of this content is grueling, but I really enjoy it. Getting a crew together to tackle black bear pass would be pretty badass!
Lots of 4x4 off road YouTub videos play this unnecessary loud background music...can't say enough how annoying that is. Sound of engine and gravel beneath tires is the music to our ears. Thanks for keeping it original.
Was in that area 2nd week of October and did California Pass! Was a great ride and saw what I think was the starting water shed point of the Rio Grande river! Right under 14k ft up!
Just making sure I'm understanding what he said correctly...for his descent back to Telluride he just turned around and went back the way he came from? So those stretches early on before the tunnel where it was steep he could've run into someone going the other way? Wow! Can't even imagine what to do in such a scenario.
Yes, Please more like this. This was great and man, that snow had to make you nervous. Need good tread for sure! One question, from there where to you go? Do you have to go down Black Bear Pass or is there another route? Well done!
When passable it drops down on the back side down towards ouray which is where the trail eventually comes out, unfortunately that side was shaded and had pretty deep snow, I actually watched a couple guys in Tacomas try to make it down those switch backs and have to recover themselves a couple times before turning around. In the summer and fall that side is no problem!
I’m also curious the month & week you drove it? Video released in March 2023, does that mean you drove it in spring 2023 or fall 2022? Color of the leaves suggests a fall drive. Research indicates it typically closes mid-October as the snow starts falling. I’m hoping to drive it 3rd week of October, but concerned/wondering if it will be closed because of snow. 🤷🏻♂️
right before the summit, that was insanely dangerous, if you were to slip ad start sliding at all, you're dead. I think people watching this don't understand.
I can't get anybody to respond from 4Runner Lifestyle. I bought a bracket for my Maxtrax to mount to my truck, 3 weeks ago. They took my money (Over $400) but wont tell me when it will ship. I have emailed them several times and I have not received any emails back, except the ads they flood my inbox with. They don't have a phone number, and when you do contact them by email, you get a reply saying not to keep emailing them and they will get back to you when they can. It shouldn't be this hard to do business with a company unless it's by design. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else.
Very sorry to here this, We want to make sure this gets resolved properly, We can call you if you would like. We can also take a look by DM on ig or it sounds like you have had some issues with email but we do have a full time team of more than 6 guys that just respond to customer support emails every weekday. We should have responses to all emails by the end of each business day so there is a high likely hood there is some issue there if you are not getting a response. however you prefer to message us we can take a look!
I've been over Imogene several times in my 4Runner, amazing trail and some good pucker factor. Great video!!
It's easily one of our favorite trails out there! and that is definitely true! that first ascent from telluride always gets me 🤣

GREAT video. Need more of this content. I'd love to hit Imogene Pass in the fall.
Great video with my morning coffee, I was in the San Juan’s in '21. It’s definitely worth the 17 hour drive from Iowa!
Stunning footage! Awesome 4Runner! Thanks for sharing!
Wow amazing views thanks for shearing and explaining, great tour of that amazing place and nice 4Runner
We should reserve the words Breathtaking and Awesome for scenery like this. Thanks for the secondhand high.

Love seeing trail content like this! would love to see more like how or why you would use a certain tool on the trail. Haven't done imogene, always do black bear but this makes me wanna hit it next year instead.

You gained another subscriber here!!! Can’t wait to get mine to explore!
Great video! Just subbed, 2012 T4R SR5 trying to build it out for overlanding. Would love to see early 5th gen content.
great video and content. typically don't like too much talking but you struck a good balance between footage and what to expect up there. perfect.
This is awesome, you need to upload more of these!
🙌 thanks man!
Do you remember which dates did you go? Autumn looks beautiful there.
More like this!! Loved the whole video!
Dude you're a stud. Awesome rig, too.
🙌
Thx for taking us up
Love the 4 Runner build!
Love the video! Definitely want to see more videos of this style. In the field vlogs/cinematic videos
Thanks man! We'll work on getting a few more in this genre up!
Awesome. I know the production of this content is grueling, but I really enjoy it. Getting a crew together to tackle black bear pass would be pretty badass!
Thanks man! Good to hear!! we will have to look at getting a black bear video in the works!
Absolutely agree, amazing footage!!!!
Enjoyed your video, ready to go back out to Ouray !
Great video, keep it up!
Great video! Thanks for sharing
Did black bear pass in my stock runner last year. It was pretty scary!
Ooooo that is scary! but glad you made it safe!!! Hard to beat those beautiful areas, and it's hard to beat doing them in a 4Runner 😎🙌
Lots of 4x4 off road YouTub videos play this unnecessary loud background music...can't say enough how annoying that is.
Sound of engine and gravel beneath tires is the music to our ears. Thanks for keeping it original.
🙌 glad to know thats what you like to hear also! we'll do more like this!

The 4runner is tight as hell, but what about the pants and shirt and hat? It's a cool look, what are you rocking?
Nice video.

Can you do more videos with this 4Runner?
Probably asked a million times but what lift are you running?
@@DerekSturman thanks for the reply!! Looks perfect
@@Treetopflyer777 what was the lift? Looks perfect with the 265/70/17 and I wanna run something similar!
Are those "beadlock" wheels ? @tacomalifestyle
These ones aren’t they just have like a fake bead in there for looks I assume 😁
Not actual bead locks just has the little indents for looks on those wheels
What month was that? What drone setup do you use?

This was the 3rd week of October, and the Drone is the DJI mavic 3 🤙
@@angolain1 I just did it again this year around the 2nd week of October and there was snow so I would recommend mid or late summer
Amazing video,
Question for you, did you ever consider a tacoma? Or a pickup for this?
How much lift are you running with the 265 tires?
Would my stock height trd off road make it?
Can a stock 4 runner trd off road make it to the top?
What was the date of this video ?
Mooooreee

Why the heck do we Australians don't have 4runner model line?!
