- In this week's adventure, Swell Runner and I wake up to an epic view in one of Colorado's beautiful basin's before rolling on to see a well-preserved ghost town. Awesome overland trails and gorgeous camp await us on the other side where we yet again whip up some delicious camp food.

Once again you do not disappoint. Such awesome scenery and excellent views. It is like watching a Nat Geo special! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
I grew up around those parts logging, sawmilling, ranching, hunting, fishing, camping, etc. Those were my stomping grounds. I left the US some 30 years ago and have lived all over since then. Videos like this really make me nostalgic. Great drone footage.
Myself and my kids did Carson road from the hermit lakes the second week in October. That was a steep trail. Had a blast exploring
Jason's face directly over yours at the end got me good. Funny stuff.
Y’all inspire me to go out and explore! But gas prices stop me from leaving my driveway 😂
Oh we feel ya! Glad you're riding along here until things get better 👍
Got to love joe hes our man soon you can explore your backyard with a electric hummer at 125,000
@@jimgraves6464 unless its in california. then you get told not to charge your electric car cuz the power grid cant handle it.
That’s why I bought a Subaru Outback and put an Ironman lift and other mods. I can’t rock crawl but I sure can get off the beaten path. We make time and sacrifice for the things that make us happy and smile. Cheers!
Beautiful cinematography as per the usual
Thanks so much! Colorado makes my job easy in that department 👍
Thank you I have enjoyed your videos and have started to watch the older one. I am on 26 of your 141 list, I which 15 or so a night. Your videos relax me so I watch them every night before bed. Oregon Girl (73) hehehe.
Awesome! Enjoy the ride! 👍
Still loving the Colorado videos. Keep 'em coming!
Loved this series, actually leaving tomorrow for a 4 day AZ overland/off-roading trip to Williams/Flagstaff and then into Sedona in my Ram Power Wagon.
Ahh beautiful views captured nicely! And some enjoyable education. Hope to see some of these views someday!
Love it!! Cant wait to get my Tacoma out there
We love seeing cool ghost towns!
You can see at 5:21 that your upper control arm is maybe hitting the shock reservoir hose? i'm sure it would take an eternity to wear through, but might be worth adjusting the routing if possible
Yeah we noticed that too. That's the downside of not having a front sway bar or limit straps to stop the droop. Thankfully it's barely touching so we'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for noticing! 👍
Wow ! Beautifull place
Loving it!
Looks like a really fun area to explore. Some really great shots in there!
It doesn't get much better than SW CO! 👍
When panning out with the drone it looks like there is an eagles nest in the trees off to the right in the distance around 9:26 mark . Colorado is my third favorite state, almost moved there several years ago when Lockheed was trying to recruit me but my wife wasn't keen on moving away from her parents, I always wanted a ranch in southern Idaho that is my ideal place to be should I win the lottery LOL oh and my second favorite is Utah, I mean canyonlands anyone ..
@@JohnSmith-uy7sv the feds get 1/3 of any lottery winnings although the state I'm in doesn't take a cut and since it would be a win fall I don't see the 1/3 the feds get as mine anyway so there is no bitterness coming from me on that subject. As bot the democrats staying in power I'm pretty sure that will be coming to a temporary end soon, I say temporary because generally speaking the American public seems to have a very short memory.
When I was young and looking for a job (beginning of my career) my wife said we could live anywhere as long as we were 30 mins from here parents. Six months later she said her family was driving her nuts. 25 years later we’re still here and we’ve been trying to move to Colorado, but I can’t find work that pays enough to cover the increased cost of living. Old guy advice: take risks when you’re young and go where you want to go. Dream big. You can always settle and move back to your hometown when you’re older or if it doesn’t work out.
Great video; excellent, 😎😎😎😎😎⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I missed this one again :(
I wonder if you and Jason compared your respective cost per mile on this outing? I have almost the same rig as Jason does and often wonder, now with the crazy cost of diesel if I made a mistake. When I bought it diesel was less than gas.
Congratulations.
Incredible!! Getting to explore and experience God’s creation in a well built rig with a buddy is a bucket list item for sure! Thank you for the video!! Do you put the trails out with your camp locations for someone to follow along? Have you considered a paid trail guide?
Thanks for riding along with us! Yes, we share this info on a limited basis with our supporters at lso.link/support
I'd love to do guided tours but for now we're busy enough as it is just maintaining what we do. Maybe one day!
That campsite looks amazing. I’d love to camp there sometime. Do you happen to know what the elevation at camp that night was? Just curious. Another awesome video.

What kind of bumper on the Ram?
What Toyota are you driving ??? Sorry I’ve tried to look it up but I’ve not got clue.
Been there several times!
It's a fun trail for sure.
Where is it? Near Leadville?
@@noahbustamante it’s SSW of Lake City about 12 miles as the crow flys.
How do you manage fuel on your trips?
That area is near the top of the list for me. Hoping to his North Rim of the Grand Cyn first...then I think that area is gonna have to be hit in 2024.
@@JohnSmith-uy7sv Not a fan of Biden, but your comment has no relevance to where I want my next trip to be. and I don't have an EV so, again, not an issue. While I appreciate your vigor and fervor, please keep comments in line with the context. Maybe you meant to apply the comment to the one comments below me.
How late is to late to make this trip during the winter
I think there's currently several feet of snow in that pass from what some local viewers are saying.
Does anyone know why the trees are grey? Are they all dead?
👍
Very beautiful, just similar to Afghanistan
🤗💕
👍👍👍👍👍😀
Man, look at all those dead trees! Very sad.
Agreed, it's painful to see but thankfully it's all regenerating slowly but surely.
would love to buy this place but no money i want to rebuild ghost towns across canada and the usa and set them up for tourism
Second.
What’s that you’re cooking on?
Not traveling with family any more sir.
