I've always loved the idea of a Fallout set in New York to have a big Christmas theme, like the population was so consumerist that they had the decorations up even before Halloween (because the bombs dropped just about a week before Halloween). So there can be snow, Christmas decorations still up everywhere, including the remains of the giant tree, and the radio stations that still exist have been playing classic Christmas tunes for over 200 years.
I really dislike this direction for gaming as a whole. Look at Destiny 2, where file size compelled the devs to take away the content that people have played for and loved. It means if you return after a few years, you have to buy more things to play again. I can play Fallout 1, and have the authentic 90s experience. Some value in history like that. Value in owning things, as opposed to a subscription that cancels when they want it to.
I would absolutely love to have a fallout in New York but if I’m not wrong I believe that just put a character in 76 that confirms that New York got nuked and is nothing but a crater now… but I would love one to be in Dallas tx or even San Antonio and they could incorporate the Alamo. But the idea of having multiple large maps would be the best way to go around the time frame between each fallout game and could easily do some time of train/metro system. Possibly normal trains or just boats. They need to focus on expanding games just as much as adding to them. There doesn’t have to be 40 different things going on in the players field of view. I don’t mind walking around a large map. Make it worth me actually walking instead of fast traveling everywhere. But back to my first point. I could be wrong idk where I heard it or if I’m dreaming but you could make a video on why the next fallout can’t be in New York and the lore behind everyone thinking it was nuked or not
Platforms not just for the developer to create new stories, but also for fans. I think the success of things like Fallout London will continue and explode to an even greater extent if things go this route. So much so that what fans consider canonical will change. I expect that when this new set up comes out, you might even get some people who basically remake the old titles in this new engine with tweaks to the story, factions, etc. The studios may fight this at first, as older execs and lawyers may see it as copyright infringement, but eventually they'll realize that this actually increases engagement with their brands, increases purchases of the games themselves, and gives them a pool of talent to hire from so that their direct releases are even better. Who better to hire to work on a Fallout storyline or game than a Fallout fan who already has several fan made games under their belt? I hope Bethesda is smart enough to go this route.
Fallout 5 will be the last fallout game after starfield fails, and Elder Scrolls 6 fails, and Bethesda runs out of money the same way it ran out of fans.
Unfortunately there’s probably no chance ES6 fails. The name does enough to entice people. Bethesda will keep getting away with their garbage for a while.
That’s the only way they could make this idea work. They’d have to start building all the major cities and then slowly build the maps that connect the states. People will want open wastelands to traverse and they will want vehicles like in the mad max series.
The underground Bullet train from city to city idea is one myself and I'm sure any other pothead has thought up before but just forgot about later on, but it's still a good one. You definitely _missed me_ on me everything else though.
The fact that tetris is literally one of the greatest games ever made, and its been entirely free nearly its entire existence tells you ALL you need to know about the current gaming industry. They would rather give you 40% of a game for full price, and charge you for the rest of it,than just making a good game because they can...Bethesda is the worst offender.
@TheWanderer_2077 Hmmm...Yeah,I guess if they keep making games, and we collectively agree to only pirate them for the foreseeable future,I'd allow that lol
I love this idea so much, it inspired my very first UA-cam like. The Sims is a great example of this working. You buy the Sims and they are constantly releasing different levels of content. Packs of just stuff, full expansion packs, smaller add-ons. The creator content is super robust. This would be a very manageable way of generating more frequent updates to our favorite franchises. Gosh. Think of the possibilities.
That' if they ever get around to making it since they did a horrible update for Fallout 4 breaking mods and no one wants the update, sorry to console players since they can't downgrade like PC users are doing.
It would ensure it was the last. 76 has sold around 1.4 million copies. Fallout 4 has sold around 25 million. Most people don't agree with you. Bugs and issues aside, even if it works perfectly it's not what people want.
It's a good idea, but what about the individual stories' individual characters? Not saying that it can't happen this way, but one of the big appeals to a new Bethesda game, especially fallout, is the setting in a different decade, the new character with their own thing going on, etc. It would be really weird and immersion breaking to board a train in New York, and exit out of your mom's vagina in a vault 20 canon years ago.... It's an interesting idea, but I don't see it happening. I could be completely wrong though of course
@@FalloutLorecast if there's an elder scrolls 6 coming out then there is definitely going to be a fallout 6 aswell. That being said money is also a factor and fallout is one of there most famous IPs so that already speaks for itself. @@matthewflores4183 Seems like you may have skipped past some of the things I talked about in the video and may be just reacting to the title and assumptions.
Soooo you mean Fallout 76………Fallouts money draw is single player content. Single player market is a CONSISTENT money injection that requires very little back end support in comparison to a mmorpg. Will there eventually be a mmorpg Fallout besides 76? I would assume so. After 76 falls off completely maybe.
also a side note frankly I pray to god microsoft strips bethesda of any hands on with fallout going forward. they are stuck in their creation engine thats been patched togeather with bandaids and duct tape over the years always claiming NEW BIG IMPROVED engine but its still a bug shit show of terribleness. the only thing that redeems bethesda are its modders making things work properly and actually puting polish on their sub par games
How about the next game has the ability to travel across the waste land in drivable vehicles like a highway man and huge libray of weapons sold in store ans vendors from all the games ex desert eagle, service rifle, light machine gun and etc. create a home base where you like create and scrap everything in the environment
Honestly I think the crazy thing is the fact that they have not been making DLC for all their games this whole time. The fact that they do one or two or three and then wait for 8 years 10 years just doesn't make any sense to me. They could employ the people that are making the excellent mods that are out there. The talent pool definitely exists.
Yeah there is no end in sight for Fallout, it seems like they're just getting started honestly with them branching out into TV show. That is the kind of move that marvel made with the MCU and what the Walking dead did with the video games and the new TV shows. There are movies and shows that are coming out today that are basically just reboots of good books/shows/ and movies, like lord of the rings, 007, and Mad Max. Companies don't let go of a good IP they'll beat that dead horse till it stops spitting out money. And Fallout is IP that has the kind of love from fans and the cult following that can take it really far.
While a lovely concept i feel that there is one pretty glaring issue that needs to first be solved namely the literal on disk size of the game as games are already getting way too bloated and any such "platform" style game is going to need several hundreds of Gigs after just a few DLC cycles. That or the game is going to need to be always-online and Shadowdownload the next area before you reach it and if each area is the size of say Fallout 4 that is going to be a whole lot of internet traffic to keep running
If you're talking about a Fallout as a service model, that would be absolutely horrible. It's really not going to be very good for consumers. I just don't think any of this is a good idea.
he isnt???? a service model is where you pay a regular every month or year. hes just saying you buy the game, and you have access to everything that comes out for it.
Nope. Service model is a step too far. I'm not for that either. Instead, I'm suggesting they'll release single player expansions with new content and zones on a 1-3 year basis, keeping the main game as the "platform," and continuing to update and improve the game engine, updating the game/platform as it goes. Each expansion will be like a new game. You just won't need to wait 5-7 years between major game releases, or 15+ years from them to get back around to Fallout again.
Calling the platform Fallout doesn't make sense for the base game because Fallout was the title of the first game in the series. I would rather it be called something like Fallout America.
Except their reason wasn't because it failed. It was mainly because Valve wasn't confident that they could make more content that could live up to what they'd already made & didn't wanna disappoint, along with some issues with how Valve's dev team is structured iirc.
I disagree with New York City being the next great location. We've seen fallout set on both the east and west coasts far too often. Its time they explore the midwest. There are plenty of locations with great potential. Chicago would be amazing. Detroit. St. Louis. Any of these places have plenty of history that would be extremely interesting to see how they translate into the fallout universe and lore.
In particular New York is wedged right in between Boston and D.C. so it's just more of the same. Three games within 400 miles. Ten days walk from Washington or Boston. I'd definitely rather revisit the West Coast than NYC and the Midwest is almost untouched, gameplaywise. It also makes sense the Midwest should have recovered better than either coast. If a real power base should grow after the bombs I'd lay my bets on city-states along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers. Some of the richest farmland on the planet networked with comparatively self sufficient towns and a dispersed population of people much more suited to survival than the cities and 'burbs.
"With Fallout 76 they've already been testing the waters with this" and they've found those waters to be deep and cold and swept by dangerous currents they aren't prepared to navigate. 76 is a flop. 1.4 million in sales and player counts that, except for a couple spikes, struggle to hold on to 10-20,000 people. As I type this there are 50% more people playing Fallout 4 than 76. This would be the worst possible future for Fallout. "Sometimes... dead is better."
@MLPDethDealr32 it's not really canon in any way, atleast not with the main series. it's kind of it's own game, but if you wanna be technical it's kind of a spinoff of Fallout 4. since it does have some similarities to that world, but at the same time it's also different.
Dont play Conan Exiles, it will make you feel like you wasted your time "informing" people that this is a new idea. Edit--> I have a 6 year old save from this game, think its older tho...
Fallout died with Fallout 4. Latest game is just a corpse getting beaten by Todd with a stick trying to reanimate it. F1 F2 and NV are the only good Fallout games.
I love it! This would be amazing! Talk about a proper 10-20 gaming experience. So many possibilities! I definitely want single player Fallout back, but even as an OG Fallout fan, I think there is potential and fun to be had with some kind of multi-player implementation. Maybe optional co-op.
I think you talk to much about things that won’t happen. That’s what normal intelligent people call a conspiracy theorist and no conspiracy theorist is valuable in society. Go outside dude fr
Let's all hope NOT, because I myself am Currently Writing A Future Fallout Story Title, for A Fallout 6....I began this Quest ...back in 2018..... So I personally Pray, this is Not The Future of All Fallout Games, & Their Future.... Until then, True Follower Out....!!!!!
Honestly... as long as parts aren't required beyond the base game, I'd be okay with it. I'd be even more in-favor if you could connect with friends if you share a code or whatnot. Not a live MMO, but akin to how Fable 2 and 3 (and a lot of other games, of course) would do co-op without needing a server to host the game itself. just packet exchange. Lower upkeep for servers to do that, people can play singleplayer all they want, and they could bring in up to a number of friends at any point. Allow modding, and keep putting out content, and make sure the engine itself is solid this time, and it could do well. Two major updates, and a handfull of small things. I highly doubt they'll go that route, and will instead keep trying to put the squeeze on Fallout 76 for revenue, an Fallout 5 to test a new engine. Fallout 6, *maybe* something like this. But I feel they'd want to have more time between Fallout 76 being out and a new model that would draw away from it. Even a single-player Fallout 5 would draw some away, but not as much, since people would want to play with other friends again after.
I was wondering when someone would notice. The same concept applies for both. I host a number of podcasts and run the Robots Radio podcast network. Robotsradio.net if you're curious.
Having started Fallout 4 way late last year and sunk 600 hours in it, i only put 20 hours in 76 and would still take any DLC for Fallout4, unfortunately Fallout london is not on Console, and do think Bethesda should buy it off the creators with a handsome payment and put it on consoles, but sure that won't happen
In what sense? I’m completely against DEI shit but if any universe is already diverse as fuck it’s the Fallout universe. You have anyone and everyone running around.
Fallout was 'woke' decades before that was even a term. You're talking about the first game series with an option for a gay marriage as well as a female president, wide racial and ethnic diversity and every political system imagined... and that was all before Bethesda got ahold of the IP. Next you'll be complaining they ruined Anime when they started pushing all that Japanese stuff.
@@TheHouseAIwaysWins Are you a child or a new fan or both? The TV show broke so much lore almost intentionally, mainly regarding Shady Sands’ location and date of destruction. While I can admit the show was enjoyable, everything was rushed into 8 episodes and brought in so many viewers who never even played Fallout who now s1mp for the show. It’s annoying for us og fans. And as a New Vegas fan, I’m honestly more scared for season 2 than excited. Bethesda is bound to ruin everything I loved about that game that is why the show will never be canon to me and many others. Do your research.

At this rate FO76 will be the last. Bethesda is never gonna get around to this.
Bethesda will never get as far as Fallout 5. They will fold after they release TES6
You have zero idea.
Fallout 5 should have us fighting zetans
Hate 76 cause you need a team to progress
Right now, i dont like flying games
The updates break the game.
Many people have lost faith in Bethesda.
F5 will be the last because the market won't support a non working game.
i actually really like this idea. fallout 76 did something very similar and its worked very well for what it is.
And yet i refuse to buy that game or consider it canon with where they placed it in the timeline.
@@MLPDethDealr32 skill issue :/
@MLPDethDealr32 it's not really canon in any way, atleast not with the main series. it's kind of it's own game, but if you wanna be technical it's kind of a spinoff of Fallout 4. since it does have some similarities to that world, but at the same time it's also different.
Dont play Conan Exiles, it will make you feel like you wasted your time "informing" people that this is a new idea.
Edit--> I have a 6 year old save from this game, think its older tho...
I want a co-op fallout not an online fallout
Imagine that! Like you can play as companions
Fallout died with Fallout 4. Latest game is just a corpse getting beaten by Todd with a stick trying to reanimate it.
F1 F2 and NV are the only good Fallout games.
1:15 in and i gotta say you are piling a lot of things to not like so rapidly i dont think im gonna like where this is going
I love it! This would be amazing! Talk about a proper 10-20 gaming experience. So many possibilities! I definitely want single player Fallout back, but even as an OG Fallout fan, I think there is potential and fun to be had with some kind of multi-player implementation. Maybe optional co-op.
What if someone buys Bethesda? Or they sell fallout
Or Microsoft just takes it away and hands it to a new team.
10:02 which makes it automatically 2 stars. Filthy introverts “lurking” around like a discord mod asking for single player games 🤮
I hate the t.v show, but I like the games.
It was all going very well until the bullet train idea.
You should really re-think these video titles...
I explained how it matched the concept, and it got you to click. So, it worked?
No offense, but I really really hope you're wrong
Am I tripping, cause wasn't there a video like this, but for Skyrim? Do you own both channels?
I was wondering when someone would notice. The same concept applies for both. I host a number of podcasts and run the Robots Radio podcast network. Robotsradio.net if you're curious.
HAHAHA. Fallout 76 was the last. That killed the franchise.
Having started Fallout 4 way late last year and sunk 600 hours in it, i only put 20 hours in 76 and would still take any DLC for Fallout4, unfortunately Fallout london is not on Console, and do think Bethesda should buy it off the creators with a handsome payment and put it on consoles, but sure that won't happen
cool
i hope obsidian can make another fallout in that case
I bet it will be super woke. Pure DEI.
"IF YOU DON'T BUY FALLOUT 5 YOU'RE A BIGOT"
In what sense? I’m completely against DEI shit but if any universe is already diverse as fuck it’s the Fallout universe. You have anyone and everyone running around.
Fallout was 'woke' decades before that was even a term. You're talking about the first game series with an option for a gay marriage as well as a female president, wide racial and ethnic diversity and every political system imagined... and that was all before Bethesda got ahold of the IP. Next you'll be complaining they ruined Anime when they started pushing all that Japanese stuff.
@@DamnedSilly no.
@@ultimaetsolder No? That's all you have? Everything I said is a fact. Denial must be a lovely place to live.
76 sucks though,
I want a anything go's fallout 4 modding experiece,
Same with skyrim,
Clickbait
I'm not buying Fallout 5. The TV show ruined the whole thing for me.
Really? Why
You’re letting a TV show ruin an entire franchise for you? Kind of pathetic
Eh, I know people don’t see why. Same with me. But be you, do whatever you want
What did the tv show do it was actually good compared to other games that have tv shows
@@TheHouseAIwaysWins Are you a child or a new fan or both? The TV show broke so much lore almost intentionally, mainly regarding Shady Sands’ location and date of destruction. While I can admit the show was enjoyable, everything was rushed into 8 episodes and brought in so many viewers who never even played Fallout who now s1mp for the show. It’s annoying for us og fans. And as a New Vegas fan, I’m honestly more scared for season 2 than excited. Bethesda is bound to ruin everything I loved about that game that is why the show will never be canon to me and many others. Do your research.
Fallout 3 and new Vegas are not that good. Graphics suck. The dynamics are not complex at all. Kind of boring actually. Empty world. Not much to do.
