    Hi sir, have u tried charging ur laptop in a power bank using a type C to C charging port? Thanks

      Hello. Yes I tried charging my laptop with a powerbank using a Type C to Type cable and port. Just make sure you're using a powerbank that has higher wattage capacity. Anker has one.
      I'll make a video out of it soon.

      Will watch out for it po, I will be traveling soon and I'm eyeing on power banks that are airplane safe. Thank you 😊 @@TechMNO

    good video. it pisses me off that my 100w PD charger can clow down to 30W on my vivobook pro 15, I dunno why that happens, but I wanted a portable charger to have some light gaming on the go, but as I game on that charger, the battery actually drains.
    matter of fact I have two PD chargers, the second one is 60W, both show slow charging when plugged in.

      What model is your vivobook pro 15? And are you using 100w cable?

    any thoughts on the myasus function for battery management? im currently using the 60% as im plugged in most times

      @TechMNO  Рік тому

      If you always use your laptop while charging, then better use the 60% battery limit for much longer longevity for your laptop. However, if you use your l;aptop very carefully, then better have the full 100% battery option.

    Thanks for making this video. I just to clarify some things:
    1. It charges at 60~70W with the 100W charger
    2. It is still faster than the included brick charger that says it is 120W?
    Did I understand it right?

      Hi. Thanks for commenting. Here are the answers for your question.
      1. Yes, the only average power output of the laptop is up to 65W.
      Though there's a GaN charger that had 65W on the market, it's not pushing it to it's maximum power. So you better buy more power than it.
      At the time of this comment posted, there's no charger that's in the 70W to 90W range. So your only choice is 100W.
      2. On your second question, its the OTHER way around. The 120W DC charger is much faster than the default charger on the box of the Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED that i have AND this USB-C Charging feature. However, you will buy it separately.

      @@TechMNO Thank you for answering my question. I guess GaN chargers are only good for portability and muti-charging purposes. I guess I am sticking with the separate charger.

      Yes you can use the laptop with a charger. But for your battery's heath, go to the myAsus software and there's an option there to use the laptop while charging.
      There's an option there that it will stuck at a certain battery level while charging for your battery's longevity.

    I've got an asus vivobook 14 pro ryzen 7. It has a usb c port but i can't charge it through it? Why does it work for you?

    • @TechMNO
      @TechMNO  Рік тому

      Hi. If your laptop is either the M3400 or M3401 models of the Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED that have Ryzen chipsets, UNFORTUNATELY, there's *NO* support for USB-C charging because it doesn't have Thunderbolt support not supporting the newer USB-C 4 port.

    Hey, can I charge my Asus Vivobook 14 with a 33W GaN charger instead of a 65W charger without damaging the laptop?

    • @TechMNO
      @TechMNO  Рік тому +1

      You can charge the laptop with any 20V USB PD compatible adapters and cables. Without damaging though? Well, i can't say if it won't because if you watch my video very well, I said in my video at the 5:00 mark, I bought a 65W GaN charger but it gave me a charging warning ⚠️ saying that it could decrease performance and battery efficiency EVEN THOUGH it's 65W. So if you want to be sure that you won't experience any problems moving forward, buy USB PD chargers that's much higher than 65W.

      @XCosmos7 Рік тому

      @@TechMNO Thank you for your reply,
      I was asking this because I already placed an order on Aliexpress for an Essager 33W GaN charger (same manufacturer as your type C cable) and unfortunately I can't cancel it to get a 65w or higher charger.
      Anyway, I just wanted to charge my pc with a charger when I'm traveling.

    Can I charge Asus vivobook pro 14 with 45w PD charger? I tried with samsung 15w pd charger and it failed to charge

    • @TechMNO
      @TechMNO  2 роки тому +1

      Actually, you can charge a 45W PD charger. But like i said in my video, it will charge SLOWER than usual and may cause DAMAGE on your laptop's battery, and that's what happened when you tried your 15W PD charger.
      So i suggest that you should charge this higher than 65W. 70W or 80W can be good. Or this one. There's a link on my description to buy on.
