    oh, i forgot to add a part. Webcam isnt great (720p), but it entirely will suffice for meetings. Mic is acceptable too. Certainly no streamer camera, but its pretty normal at this price point.

    I have been eyeballing this laptop since it has been hitting $1000 CAD on Amazon lately. I wasn't sure if the ram was upgradable since I feel 16GB just isn't really comfortable anymore, just running Windows and Chrome and you have like 4 gigs left. After watching this video I am sold on this laptop, Thanks for the awesome review!

      @@TechGuyBeau Laptop is pretty meh tbh. I'm back on my MacBook Pro for everyday use. Keyboard, sound, UI, Cooling, Updates, and just overall user experience is way better. Asus laptop gets hot for no reason, like I barely use it and the fan starts spinning and the bottom part gets hot. I am using it exclusively to watch my shows, but as soon as apple has oled in their line up I'm switching. Build quality also feels really inferior..

      I doubt you’ll find a laptop with a 120hz OLED screen and this processor for this price.

    Bought one of these three weeks ago, and while watching you tube vids every night for several hours, I am having dropout problems with my blue tooth headphones. I know it is the laptop, as my other HP laptop that I use during the day, does not have any such problems. Apart from that, this is a fantastic computer. It seems Asus is literally the only company to make 120Hz OLED laptops that aren't absolutely insanely priced. Supposedly all the TV OLEDs suffer from something called sample-and-hold. Where there is basically built-in lag that will not allow for completely smooth motion. I'm very curious to try these laptops out and see if I can get completely smooth stutter-free motion.

    • @RandomUser-tj3mg
      @RandomUser-tj3mg Рік тому +2

      Sample is hold is present on all lcd and oled panels. It will be present on any display that has pixels. Black frame insertion can be used to reduce motion blur. You need to hunt down a good crt or plasma for best motion clarity

    • @overnightdelivery
      @overnightdelivery Рік тому

      Well dang. Thanks for the info. I guess that seals it that OLED will never surpass CRTs in motion.

      I'm waiting for mine to arrive but you can adjust the power draw of the system in the MyAsus app to get much better battery life, as well as doing other things like turn down the refresh rate, so I expect it to only last slightly less long as 6800U equipped laptops when optimized. I was told the S5402Z was limited to only 1TB. Perhaps, this is not accurate information. Also, I see they also support 32Gb stick with the onboard 8Gig, for a total of 40. Hmmm.
    Then, the machine would have 16Gig Dual, and 25 single. I think this is a major performance hit and might be better with having 16Gb of dual to increased performance, especially for the Intel graphics.
