Yeah , more and more of them are turning purple , all of them on our road have finally turned ... and NO , they do NOT illuminate the road nearly as well as when they were white , plus the purple color is irritating in my opinion ...

Hmm do your homework look up gene expression using light and check the wavelength of light. I know the station won't do any real journalism about it but the rest of you can know the truth. I had to search the meaning of alot or words and processes used but you will see patents and published research documents. It's a deep rabbit hole.
