- Face it, Wildwoodians: fat is delicious, and that means Gristle is an essential ingredient in any musical stew. That's why we're so excited to showcase the Little Gristle, a 1x12 12-watt combo amp capable of felling even the mightiest of mythical creatures. Basically, the Little Gristle is a smaller version of the much-beloved "The Greg" amp that has co-starred in hundreds of Greg Koch's videos on our UA-cam channel. This slimmed-down take on the almighty Greg is perfect for players looking for a do-it-all 1x12 that can tear it up in the studio, on the stage, or in the basement. We invite you to take one of these mean machines for a spin and see why the Little Gristle has stolen the hearts of the Wildwood staff!

Greg could be playing through an oatmeal box and I'd still want to buy it. There's no better spokesperson if you want to show off your wares!! Doesn't hurt the amp is truly amazing!!
Just got mine in the black tweed last week from Wildwood and holy sh!t it is amazing!!!! Could not be happier with the amp and the service.
That's an amazing amount of versatility out of such a simple amp... 👀
I love that they went for a single-ended EL34. Such a rich tone. Should sound fantastic for harp as well.
Well, that little Gristle sounds just fantastic. Thanks for the video. Good job guys.
"More is more." - Amen Greg, amen!
Nice looking amp!!! I've recently turned back my tone clock to 1985. I sold all my newer tube amps and stomp boxes, then purchased a pair of Peavey Special 130's and a Floorboard muti-efx in the name of reliability and simplicity. I finally have "MY TONE" back!
I discovered the internet in 1998 and it told me I was wrong and must conform to a new sound or be relegated to Moose Lodge Jam sessions for the rest of my life, so I moved to Humbuckers, tubes and stompies in '98. Well, It cost me a B-Bender Tele, several thousand dollars and 25 years to realize the internet really is full of crap and I stupidly gave away my gear, my tone, and trust. But I got it all back now! ❤
This is the best YT comment in history. Keep on keepin' on with your bad self!
What a majestic thing. I love that amp too.
That's a very versatile volume range, a screamer 😀👍😀🎸☮️
It does sound delicious!
Would this be an upgrade compared to similar priced big names ?
Would be really interested to see the inside of this sucker.
Are the tubes mounted on the chassis or PCB ? How's the overdrive managed, diodes or tube cascading ?
Is the speaker a relabeled Celestion ? Getting a bit techincalicious here, but all these details count at some point.
Very happy to find, at last, a proper demo by the masterful Gristle King himself 😊
The amp sounds glorious.. everything sounds glorious with Greg.. but a hint of delight can be heard from tool itself
Awesome tone! I have a session with a blues band next week. I like easy things, maybe an added overdrive an a delay. All also use digital stuff at home, but in a band I like simple things and the direct feel.
Hi I just bought this amp. I like it. Which pedal would you recommend you recommend to get a plexi like sound? With a SG guitar Thanks
I love Koch.
Got a black one on order at Wildwood; tweeds out of stock...should be shipping tomorrow😁
You missed showing the range of the reverb. Sounds a bit much for me, can it be more subtle set lower? Also the tone adjustment could have been good to see.
This is so great- i really wish I didnt just buy another bassbreaker a month ago… my 7 watt el84 class A bassbreaker has such a killer sound but limited by the boxy size. This is similar to that but with quality components, real spring verb and a bigger box. Magnificent!! I will say I wish it had an fx loop but that is literally the only thing i would change… I want one. Not one but 2 signature amps that are both killer!? Congrats Greg
Bassbreaker 007 owner here (since it came out). Swap the stock speaker with a Greenback and throw in some good tubes (Goldlion EL84 in my case) and you’ll discover the true potential of your amp ;)
nice!
MOAR
The SWANK-MEISTER!
How much does this savage tone beast weigh?
35 lb
Will this amp sound good at bedroom levels? I´m afraid even the 4W mode might be too loud...
Sounds great!! Any idea what the cabinet is made of?
Baltic birch plywood (5/8" thick approx.). Also I read that the tweed covering is an upgrade to Fender stuff.
Good enough. It don't need to be massive. Playing in stereo going to use 2 anyhow.
How good is the amp to adapt to delay or tremolo pedals plugged before the preamp given that external Fx cannot be plugged in the amp ?
Seems like lately, every time I find an amp that I NEED, it’s either sold out or discontinued
Greg Koch can make a broom stick and a Gorilla amp sound brilliant.
I came here because I was interested in the amp ; now I want the amp AND the guitar. Help.
Shit now I want one. I don’t need it but I want it. Lol time to spend the next month justifying it to myself before I give in and pull the trigger I guess.
I heard that SRV riff
Dokken….was waiting for a Lynch riff. 😏
A skosch? Not familiar with this unit of measurement.
Love that black tweed skin. Beauty, eh? as we say up here in the Great White North
Gumbo and More Gumbo
You don't need much more than that to get playing.
Add one-watt attenuation and $OLD.
