S-log video footage keeps most of the color information in the video so we can have more ranges of color while color correcting a video. In this video tutorial, Chloe is going to show you how to do basic color correction in Filmora X using S-Log footage!
What is Color Correction?
Color correction, which is different from Color grading, is a process that fixes colors. It allows to correct the colors to as realistic and as natural as possible. Color grading is more about adding mood and creativity to colors. Color grading is always done after color correction.

Thanks Chloe, I could try what I learned from you today. I'm a newbie video editor. My videos are not S-log videos, just videos from my cellphone camera. My color adjustments make may videos worse than the poorly colored original. Could you make some videos on basic color correction on videos from regular cellphones? Thanks.

is there a way to apply the colouring correction to the whole track instead of individual clips? we have to deal with multiple clicks and it is troublesome to keep on applying the colour corrections over and over again

I have recently started using Filmora 11 on my Macbook and noticed that the videos on the Filmora's player look a little washed out/faded/whitish than the originals. But when I export these videos, that whitish layer doesn't come up. This is messing with my color grading. Can you provide some insights on this please.

how do i colour a specific spot though? on flimora 10
I have one 5 hour long video (1080p) with multiple presenters giving speeches The recording has multiple camera angles in it but one of the cameras have washed out colours. Would this software allow me to correct just those parts of the video using a preset I create? What's the best way to do this? And can it handle 5 hour clips? I need to split up the clip into 8 separate clips, add lower thirds, etc.

Nice, but I have an issue. If I am using D Log footage, I first do color correction and then a LUT after that. The problem is as soon as I apply the LUT, all my color corection disappears. Help?

can you apply the same setting to multiple clips on the timeline?
@@FilmoraWondershare Yes, but I figured it out. If you want to apply the same correction to multiple clips, you can do the following:
1. After correcting the first clip, right click the clip in the timeline and select "Copy Affect"
2. Select the clips you want the affect to be applied to, right click and select "Paste Effect".
Now, this currently works for me because my clips are in a light controlled environment. I wouldn't recommend this for clips taken in different environments where the lighting is different as it could drastically affect the clips.

I'm trying to add Utility-Auto Enhance to my video clip but when I do that it only adds for a minute or so of the movie. How do I get the Auto Enhance to last for the entire length of my project - in this case just over 7 minutes ? Dragging it to the end takes forever. There must be a quicker way.

@@FilmoraWondershare When I drag-n-drop the effect onto the track it only goes as far as left to right on that part of the screen. When I look further into the clip (moving to the right) the effect stops at where the edge of the PC screen was before. If you follow. It hasn't occupied the full length of the video clip.
