Saw the title then saw the donuts. Immediately knew it was Tommy. This guy is the best. Informative about HIS own cars ad knows how to drive them. Respect👍 p.s the stance on that car is 100% perfect
Nice to see my neighbors car that sat for 30+ years be put back on the road. Wow! Never thought that would happen. Best 10k spent on a basket case. Thank you Tony. I showed the original owner this video. Ed Goetz was blown away. I remember this car when they brought it home with its warranty motor due to being blown by a rent a racer. Best $2442.00 spent.
Of course Tomy has one of these! When he brings a car, I know I'm gonna see him toss it around. He actually drives these things like they were intended to be driven!
I remember when Hertz decided to get rid of them all ! ALL of them ! I remember driving down from Ventura to LA and I looked at a couple beauties as we walked through the lot ! I remember seeing a couple this color. I was hesitant about having an automatic and my buddy who went down with me kept whispering Z28 in my ear. Nothing ever came of it because my credit was terrible .
This is like the third video i have seen with this driver, that has become my favorite, in some of my most favorite cars. a very unique style of driving that fits these cars perfectly
Driven and not hidden! Love real drivers cars! Even though it's a different year......whenever I see a misbehaving early Mussy F-back I think "Bullitt". This GT350 is 'bare knuckles'!
I rented one of these in June 1966, and the day before going off to Marine Corps boot camp. I was 20 years old, so the myth about having to be 25 years old not true. I drag raced all my buddies that night, and the brakes failed while parking in my parents driveway. Hertz waived the $19.00 rental fee because of the mechanical failure. True story. San Diego, CA 6/23/66. Bought a new 1968 Roadrunner for $2,900 after returning home from Vietnam in May of 68; Mustang’s were too expensive at $3,400 for a Fastback 390 and 4 speed.
To be honest. My all time favorite car is the 1965 fast back. Fully loaded. But thus one hear the car and year looks ton be the best looking Car on earth. It’s Beautiful.
My buddy bought on of these 2-3 years ago. He was having it restored when a collector saw it at the shop and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. He bought a very early production, unrestored GT350 last year.
I've been to a lot of historic races at Laguna Seca. My favorite are the vintage Trans Am and American sports cars of the 60's. The GT350's have an incredible, unique sound and this is a perfect example.
Shawn your spoiling us! Tommy thanx again! You can just feel the wind in your face watching Tommy squeeze that stang!! So cool on many levels. Thanks kiwi Sam
Insanity man , ‘66 GT-350H Black & Gold so classic absolutely nothing can beat it , most beautiful muscle car ever built in history, thank you for filming it man , always been a huge fan absolutely spotless perfect right 5 spoke TT-D American Racing wheels so beautiful omg ❤️🙏🏼🙌🏼👏🏼👌🏼👍🏼🇦🇺
my grandfather passed away and he left the car to me and here in Puerto Rico the car was near the coast and rusted up, I got it as it is at the moment and it's so expensive to restore but watching these videos really hit me hard man. Love your videos man keep it up.
About 15 years ago I had Tommy drive me around Buttonwillow Raceway in my 2002 SVT Focus and he was much faster than I had ever been. We couldn't pass cars on the straights with only 172hp but he passed a few around the rest of the track where he wasn't supposed to and got a talking to when we came in. I was hanging on for dear life. I've known him for about 35 years through crewing on George Follmer's 70 Trans AM Mustang.
Seein these, not running, getting pushed off the auction block by guys with white gloves in a no sale never to be seen again. Or watch Tomy shred the tires and years off like a madman who actually loves cars and not the ROI. God bless the man.
You just found out why the GT350 ruled B Production. Small block Fords make big power and rev to the moon. And they sound so nice doing it too. Great respect for the owner. He drives em like I would.
I wanna ride with Tommy when he cruises that to the beach. Dude doesn’t need a throttle pedal, he just needs an on/off toggle switch on the dash. Gas is either on or off. Luv it.
This WAS, way to short ! But I don't know what else could have been said, or what else could have been DONE ! Simply KICK- ASS ! Tommy ,dropped the hammer AND the Mic !
That man respects his car and knows how to ride a thoroughbred. Bravo! Beautiful car, fantastic bootleg spinning. He could win a gold medal figure skating in that thing.
@@AutotopiaLA yep! My mind is still melted from the video. Heh heh you might see if any of your guests would let him extract the real potential of their rides. Somewhat of a long shot idea bit if you don't ask the answer is always no. I ALWAYS appreciate your replies man! Thx!!
As the late Great Carroll Shelby once said, I built these cars to be driven, not to be shelved Back in the day there was a Gt350 FB, Gold stripes on Red. Had the air ducts side and was a 66 . Loved that car from beyond
My fave year/model Mustang. Saved my nickels/dimes and got to a point I could see that I would have a chance at one of these......then 'Nam came along. They were all swept up when I got back to life. Nice car. Can-Am and Trans-Am really improved the breed in all the pony cars.
I owned the 66 mustang GT350H replica and it was the coolest car I owned. I still regret selling it. It was really a simple car to work on and a great driver.
I noticed that too, but hes had two Z28s and a Cobra on here also.. and always in that shirt....I think its because hes a pro-driver, so its free advertisement...JMO
Absolutely fabulous. I know this was shot 2 years ago and your prang was 8 months ago but man I was nervous watching that. Anyway, hindsight is 20/20 vision and if my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle so I’m not going to bang on about that. You have without a doubt given us some of, if not the best coverage of GT 350’s on UA-cam so thank you for that. With regards and respect, Declan, Ireland.
I remember when they (Hertz) sold them all on one Weekend at Pomona , I did not have the money you would not believe the good deals they had on these cars
Has to be my all time favorite car. First gen Shelby Mustangs rock. I was lucky enought to have use of a 68 428 drag pack Mustang in the early 70's but still prefer the small block screamers
Somebody at the ad agency had a good day when that campaign was cooked up. Imagine getting the green light to do that. "So we pitched 'em the idea and they said, yeah, we can do that, rent-a-racers." lol
It’s amazing to see people thrash these cars and drive them hard like they are supposed to.
Yup hate people who just keep in garage to preserve value instead of enjoying
My original 66 gt350 carryover is used almost strictly at the track.
There’s a very big difference between driving hard and thrashing your car, old matey here does both though 😂😂
Yea when it belongs to someone else it's always easier to tear up or destroy someone else hard earned stuff there family worked for
@@adolf7660 it’s not being destroyed, it’s literally built to be driven hard, stop whining

💯% Thought the same exact thing.😂
You can always tell a real driver from a newby. He can flat out drive that Stang. Love the classic Mustangs. And Wow, an original gt 350, love it
Those old Windsor engines rippin high rpms got such a sweet sound omg music to my ears
Shawn's expression tells it all. The GT 350 videos are the best. Love the sound and unbridled revs of these vintage cars! Love it!
So awesome!! A ride with Tomy is always a thrill ride

This made me SMILE! I have loved this car since realizing they existed as a young teen in the early 80’s.
06:58 What a beautifully performed donut
I like when the talk stopped and the driving started. No words necessary.
Tommy is the man!!!!! Very few people are hammering on these old rides like he does
He’s so cool! Everytime we know he’s gonna put on a show for us
I really liked this episode, on my 16th birthday my dad rented a GT350H for me to drive as a birthday present!
Your dad should have legend status!
Pictures or your lying

That’s my favorite to watch as well. Nothing like those Trans Am cars screaming and sliding around the track
Tell you what, Tomy sure can handle his cars... So glad he truly enjoy them. This was just spectacular, what a car! That engine is a gem! 👍🏻
Shawn your spoiling us! Tommy thanx again!
You can just feel the wind in your face watching Tommy squeeze that stang!!

Full send in that opening shot and I was like, Tommy's back!
Ever since I saw a black mustang with the gold stripes I’ve always wanted one. This is such a badass car! Thanks Shawn as always! 😁

what a car. tomy is the best driver imo - that donut was perfection!
Did u see how close the rear wheels come to the curb it almost looks like he taped it.

THANK YOU!!! This took me back to my childhood when I first got to see Bullitt. Love seeing em driven like they were meant be.
He drives all of his cars like this which I think is awesome
You definitely keep feeding my Mustang fix Shawn! It's awesome that this car is driven - no trailer queen here. Love it.
What a beautiful, brutal machine...as a Ford man this episode is one of my favs by far....👏✌
I love this car too! Nothing beats the black and gold design and that old school raw mean ride is all me
That man respects his car and knows how to ride a thoroughbred. Bravo! Beautiful car, fantastic bootleg spinning. He could win a gold medal figure skating in that thing.
Awesome GT350 Hertz Mustang.. Tommy you definitely have great driving skills...cool video.
I had to come back here for a second video visit 👊🏻
Tommy doing what he does best spinning donuts or smokin tires at will.
Bless this channel 🤘🏼🇨🇦👊🏻
When you see Tomy you instantly know you're in for one hell of a ride😎.
Tomy is a amazing driver, with his amazing rides. Winning!!🏁🏁🏁
On the valve springs hard every time.. sounds wicked
He pounds on this thing and it begs for more
This man IS your best guest! He is very generous with with his horsepower collection.

That's the way to really enjoy that car. THE CAR, that's what it is. Oh fond memories about doing those crazy drivings 50 years ago!
That’s a true Mustang. Beautiful car and year. That’s all pony.
Tomy is the shit man, my favorite episodes you do are on his vintage road race demons, so kool man!

Definitely a bucket list car for me.
i love these thrashed on, raced, driven and beaten on gt350 - i wouldn't want mine any other way.
Beautiful car to look at, but driving it like you stole it, is the real beauty!! This man can drive. Love it! 😁👍👍
That Tiger went Tiger. Yea Tomy, keep doin that thing u do, the way you do it!!! Much RESPECT

Uummmmm.........

Favorite episode ever. Exactly how I want my stang to be when it grows up. Woooooooo
This is one of my favorite videos, Tommy doing donuts!
Finally !!!! People Driving them as Intended...😎👍👍👍👍👊👊👊👊
The most iconic design there is. I love em all but this is among the top 5
Color combination is now my favorite. Lately I've been thinking of a Hot Wheels or Matchbox I had about 45 years ago that had that color combination.
I owned the 66 mustang GT350H replica and it was the coolest car I owned. I still regret selling it. It was really a simple car to work on and a great driver.
Absolutely insane GT350.
The color and paint job looks amazing. Love the stance. Great video 👍
Outstanding Tommy can drive that car bro
That 289 rips it up.
The video as a whole was good, but that intro donut burnout got my thumbs up 😎
Yeah, Tomy loves driving his cars hard
One bad ass engine!!!
I want that in my 65 fastback...
It’s so good! This thing is the best kind of loud
Very subtle opening few seconds there Shawn!
👍🇦🇺
Always a great video when Tomy is in it!!!
Finally this car and he uses it I'm really feeling this car...
He can flat out DRIVE! Badass car!
Yeah, serious driver. Been racing pro over 30 years now
Owner: “I’m doing a review of my Shelby today...better get my Chevy shirt!” 😂
yh that bugged me for some reason.
LOL Right

He races a Camaro in the Trans Am series, so that shirt is him representing his team
Pretty bad ass with a little 289 ci
Nice car like the black and gold. Sounds great.
I enjoy your videos man! I’m surprised you aren’t at a million subscribers, yet!
The end of an era...beautiful car.

WOW what a car👍 😊 I like how she sits on his wheels, perfect handling. 😮 Sorry for my english😊
Another cool car!! Thanks
Can you imagine being able to rent these back in the day totally bitchen. Wish I wasn't a little kid then
I remember when they (Hertz) sold them all on one Weekend at Pomona , I did not have the money you would not believe the good deals they had on these cars
I had the exact car same paint scheme but mine was an original Shelby Hertz with a Hipo 289 four speed top loader four speed trans.
The color is outstanding these are cool cars, one of my high school friends has had one of these for a very long time
That car pulls hard...Awesome Gt350H....Tomy is a driving fool...hahahaha. Great intro!

You guys film on this street so much I am surprised no one has went to jail. LMAO!!! Keep driving them hard!!!
Just awesome! That engine sounds so freakin angry. Once again captured in a amazing video.
Very clever to advertise this vid! We saw the doughnut in a Shelby GT350-H and were hooked!
Wow you certainly bring the best out in them
The best Mustang commercial ever
I love Tomi’s driving style always my fav vids
One of the sickest Stangs I've ever seen.
Damn just why I'm subscribed! Some of the best cars and best interviews on the planet...👌✌
His driving reminds me of Steve McQueen. Awesome guy, coolest car.
I have a model of this car. that I did about 20 years ago. Still have it on display in my house. My favorite car besides the Eleanor.
Just warming the oil up! LOVE IT!
Absolutely love it!
