Loving the 120DII in daily use here! My original 120D has been my main key for most shoots for a couple of years now but I often had to push it to 100%. With the 120DII, I rarely need to push beyond 75%. Love that the AC adapter is now part of the control box and that new yoke is a big improvement as well. Love how Aputure's lighting products are maturing and evolving!

How well will the 120d survive in hot dirty environments? specifically a blacksmith shop.
I have a question about the controller: If you switch on the lamp and then unplug the power and then plug it back in, do you have to manually switch the lamp on again by pressing a button on the controller or does it switch itself on when the power returns automatically on again?
Unfortunately, the C120D version 1 needs a button press by hand so that it lights up again after the power is switched off. The LS 1c, on the other hand, does not need to press this button, but lights up again immediately after the power returns.
This is a SICK video! I have an hr672 and it's amazing. Would love to get my hands on one of these soon.

I'm looking into making my first big light purchase. Moving on from a 60 dollar neewer light. Would the 120dii be good for a solo man who does run n gun, interviews, business commercials, weddings, real estate, etc...?
How do the lighting fx work? I recon they're just intensity effects; the fireworks fx can't actually produce different colors from the same light without gels, right? I mean, you'd need RGB leds to do that and I understand this is a single-LED light. Is this correct?

A good light for still portraits of pets and kids that don't like flash. And, some people just can't stand flash for medical reasons, so a constant light source is necessary.

Hi everyone, I got a question, I saw a review on Levi's YT channel of the 300D version with a Gen Energy V-mount Battery, If I get this 120DII how long is going to last at full power? one battery 290Wh is enough? thinking that is half of power than 300D?

And the back of the powerunit is still as likely to break when using a battery as it was with the Mark I. Seriously, it would only haven taken you 2 screws to prevent that. Why did you overlook that?

Anybody know if these are flicker free? And is there any advantage to buying the V mount version vs the gold mount? I was using this a long with a led panel and one of the was flickering slightly and I could not figure which one it was.. A friend of mine who owns a rental store for bigger equipment asked me why I bought the V mount version rather than the gold mount. He told me the gold mount was a better choice and easier to find gold mount batteries? Is that true? Thanks for any opinions..
