Also, Aputure seems to have replaced the fan and fixed the annoying sound issue described in other UA-cam reviews. So, thank you and I’ll definitely unsubscribe!
I enjoyed seeing the light comparison test, but it didn’t seem fully complete since the aperture and iso settings (which remained the same throughout, I know), weren’t mentioned. What were those? Also I’m sorry if I missed it.
I’m really curious about the practical difference between using the ultraflop vs using for instance the 50cm lightbridge #2 or #3… wondering how much difference it would be in transmitted light and quality, if it would be worth to invest!
How long does the LED last? and how does the light output/color change over time? when the LED finally goes, is there a way to replace that part of the light, or does one need to throw away the whole light and buy another, instead of replacing a bulb like on a traditional HMI. LEDs last a long time, but eventually they fail. and color shift. Does Aperture have any data on these things?
@@parkercreative_au that's definitely one way to go. It would be kind of rotten to have it fail right after the year warranty ended though. I saw a really interesting company which makes an LED module which you can install in traditional HMI housing. I thought that was really a cool innovation. So being that it needs a junior pin and it being insanely powerful, for us one man band types Is the 600D where it's at? I would like more power than my 300D mk I for interviews when shooting against a window looking outside. I shoot through 60" Octabox for these interviews.
I just tested almost this situation with my 600D and found it wanting. It is amazing for most any indoor situation (e.g., in cluttered interview situations I can bounce it off of ceilings and walls and get amazing results, even in an otherwise pitch-black room). But when I used it to shoot some interviews out on a deck, it was not quite bright enough (I lived with the results). I would expect the same to be true if filming people indoors against windows. So, I wish I had a 1200d. It is up there on my list of priorities, but I have to review again the specs regarding power draw, as I think, perhaps, it is capable of knocking out a fuse. This is an issue for me because I do interviews in other people's locations (where they work, for example).
@@teacherofteachers1239 I settled on the the nanlite 720B. Bi color with the same or more output as 600D. 1200 I think is quite a bit heavier and harder to haul around. At any rate the 720B will give me much more than my 300DmkI did.
