The aputure lantern is something new I am seeing also all of this device looks really amazing to me. Amazing equipment things would be so easy for people who can buy It. I guess I will have to try saving a lot of money to buy this when it comes to india as my first professional light I would really want to have this
The build in effects, operating with a distance, one battery operation and the new modifier are my favorite features of the 300d ii... All the best apurture...
The endgame is near my friends... Insane LED lights, raw video recording, drones, insane lenses, the list goes on. Awesome job Aperture! I'm proud to say I own and use your products and I'm looking forward to using the 300d II!
This looks like a nice update to an already solid product. Increased brightness, more robust build, DMX control, effects, two wireless protocols, etc. I'll certainly add a couple to my growing Aputure collection. Now, I'm just waiting (hoping) for an Aputure 500D with a 10 inch fresnel attachment!
True - didn't catch that. We'll have to see what it sounds like in the real world. Users will crucify Aputure if they nuanced the claim with only the control box and not the actual light.
Grateful for some of these upgrades, especially the no noise but not digging the two battery per light setup. It's just not cost effective for me at over $700 a pop (Anton Bauer 190). Plus I would like to know if there have been any improvements with how long the batteries can keep one of these going at 80% and up. I have two Anton Bauer 190's and just one works wonders for my 120 d's. I can power 2 lights for a long time instead of one 300d for a short period of time.
That's why we added in the Single Battery Mode, where you can power the 300d II at up to half power with a single battery (all batteries recommended to support 15A Continuous Power Draw). We know that batteries are expensive, so no matter where you are, you can at least get a little light in a pinch.
@@aputurelighting I checked my Anton Bauer 190's and see it supports a maximum of 10A. Any suggestion on batteries that would work best with the 300 series? Maybe this is why they seem to drain so quickly. Any information regarding batteries for the 120D and the LS 1S? I have a lot of your products.
@@sburgos9621 The operational current at max power is approximately 12 Amps, but we recommend headroom resulting in batteries that can continuously discharge 14-15A. In terms of batteries that we've tested, they include the IDX Duo C198, IDX Cue-D300, SWIT PB-R290S, FXLion BP-190S / AN-190A, FXLion BP-M200, FXLion BP-250S / AN-250A. Batteries that should work, but we haven't tested include: Blueshape BV190HDplus / BG190HDplus, Blueshape BV290HDplus / BG290HDplus, and the COREswx Helix XL batteries, GenEnergy 15A batteries Regarding the original 120d and LS1 10Amp batteries will work just fine. The 120d II, 300d, and 300d II follow the above recommendations
I'd love to see these alongside the Arri's and Kino Flo's in my trucks. I'm very happy to see the improvements in the cable situation and the mount for the ballast. The original just was never practical for those reasons. Now I just want you guys to make something to compete with the 18K's I'm still breaking my back on. (Also, just as a fun giveaway you should make little half pound sandbags as paperweights with the idea that's all the weight you need to keep your lights steady.)
We're trying to keep up with demand as fast as possible. Local dealers had them in stock pretty much right away. And we have our second batch units coming in around the beginning of August.
@@martin_wood That's correct. The 120d I is 6000K whereas the 120d II is 5500K. Both maintain Aputure's standard of 95+ CRI and TLCI. The 300d II and 300d are the same, both boasting high color accuracy at 5500K.
What's your favorite feature of the 300d II?
The lightning clamp is a great idea! And loving the silent operation! You guys rock!!!
Honestly I love the soft box, quick and easy to set up and you can control where the light is being cut at.

Director: "so how many lights are we gonna need for this shot"
Gaffer: "yes"
How did you know what our pre-production meeting was like?
@@aputurelighting you've got stalkers.
but you got that backwards lol it should be
Gaffer: "so how many lights are we gonna need for this shot"
Director: "yes"
Gaffer doesn't decide lighting lol
@@sanjacobs6261 Funny you should say that. I'll be on a shoot Monday where the Gaffer is deciding the light as opposed to the DP.
Awesome promo! Can't wait to get one of these beauties in my hands :-)
Me too :-)
me three :-)
Me for :-)
Mr. Wanjay Me five :-)
Me seven eight ten :-)
Because 7 8 9.

Wow! You guys are not playing around! Totally changing the game when it comes to lighting.

insane! saw these in action on a large commercial shoot. that softbox is everything it says it is. one source for an entire ball room scene.
You have no idea how much I would have loved to be a part of the production crew for this video
The tease at the end is soo good!
Now that’s how you introduce a new product. 🔥
This video made me excited about studio lights
Just wish I wasn’t so poor. Awesome work to the A-Team. Yet another top quality product
Amazing! Love everything about this!
Exactly what I've been looking for, for years! Looks like the perfect bundle.
The amount of love in this video!
the opening with all those flashing lights so tasty
This is such a dope preview!!! Looks like a belter of a light.

Great piece Ted and Brandon!
You had me at "Completly Silent"
Same
But remember the light still has two fans on it's underside for cooling the cob led. You can see them at 1:10

@@jonjoygaba the fan blades look like the ones from the old 300d. So the could be like the old ones but I don't know how loud these were.
@@ellirhc11 I also haven't actually heard the mark 1 in person, just from reviews.
GOOSHHH it would be SO MUCH fun setting up all those lights
Thank you for solving the ballast issue! \m/
Very beautifull! I can't wait to try it! Now I'm just waiting for the mini 20d Mark II 😄😄
I've waited a long time for this moment my little, bright friend... ;)

So excited!!!! Mine ships next Friday!!!!!!
The adjustable skirt is fucking genius my god why has nobody thought of this before??
I’m blown away.
You guys always amaze me!!!! Awesome products!
So so good. I'm most excited about the lantern softbox if I'm honest.
For me it's the complete silence as I'll use it in a small studio often recording audio! Also the new effects are cool
Two sets arrived today.
Wowowowowow. I own the LS 1c, the F7, the M9, and the mini20d. Cuz, I love Aputure lights. Now this? I'm definitely getting this bad boy.
The lantern is what I've really been waiting for. No more cutting China balls with trash bags and clamps.
AWESOME.
DAMN.....(credit card is already silently sobbing...)...
This was really awesome guys!! Nice job! Keep it up!😄
that got me pumped!!!
Its finally here!
Wow you guys are amazing! That's just mindblowing 😍

And right after I bought the 300D w/o a Heads Up from B&H that I only had to wait a month to buy the upgraded
So tell me. Why do I have to watch two ads before I watch your ad?
I just bought it but it simply doesn't turn on. I send it back and they send it back to me said it's working. It's crazy that it still doesn't work
So perfect! I need this!!! :)))
Holy moly guys! Epic video! Btw, when is this out?? I have 2 120D's, and I'm gonna replace them with these!

The 120D Mk II is way less green compared to the original 120D. Does the 300D Mk II have the same color improvement?))

Can you guys please start shipping the Dome II? I ordered mine in May and it still hasn't arrived.

If your power is only up to 50%, can you hotswap on of the batteries?
You can hotswap batteries as long as there is a battery on the Red side. For single battery usage, the red side is the side you have to use.
When it's wall plugged, does the control box charge the batteries?
I wish I could afford that light I need it so Bad
just WOW
