I went from a gtx 1050 2 gb to this gpu and the difference is night and day. I was playing Monster hunter world at medium struggling to hit 60 fps and now I’m playing at max setting over 60 easily.
A lot of people talk trash about the 3050 but if you are running old budget hardware like I was, I think is really worth the upgrade because you are getting the complete Nvidia package for the cheapest is currently available on today markets.
I agree back then mine is much worse i was running an ANCIENT gpu GT 730 and i3 processor with 4gb ram LMAO for years!! IT WAS AWFUL and now i got msi rtx 3050 8gb, aorus pro b550 motherboard,16 2x8 ram and ryzen 5 5600x this is still a monster specs for me tbh i mean i was on an ancient setup so... XD anyways even tho mostly people on the internet downplay this gpu but for me who did a big jump from specs I REALLY THINK IT'S GOOD
And STILL one of the few cards that are in stock lmao not many of us have a choice if we even wanna build a pc

@@TheeANIMEkid yes most definitely i used it for only 2 months and it was decent at 1080p high/medium but i gave my 3050 for my brother and bought a 3060 just recently since gpu prices are falling if your budget allows it you should get 3060 rather than 3050 since 3050 is like a 1660ti with dlss and overpriced at the moment but if you find one at msrp and you're on a budget you can go for a 3050 but if possible go for the 3060 and spend more dollars on it's more worth it spending on a 3060 you can play ultra in 1080p with unreal fps and 1440p high/ultra depending on the game 3050 can't give that to you just a little advice :)

it seems like the 4gb version would struggle on some games at 1080p, but in other games it would be enough for 1440p

The RTX 3050 works fine with any title you throw at it in 1080p thanks to DLSS if the game allows it. If you have nothing and its the only thing you can afford, go for it. (or save up alittle and try to get 3060) if you have a previous gen card like 1660 or 2060.. don't bother looking at the 3050

Interesting card for the lower end of the spectrum. Looks more like it comes down to each games individual optimization. Seeing as some games run over 60 easy and others are 45-55fps.

@@Yesyes-qv8xt that's upto you and your budget. If you need max settings at all times and are cool with lower frames youll be fine, but if you can tolerate a mix medium/high to make up for some more frames, then that works too.
But if what your looking at is a Laptop I'd say don't buy it, because laptop GPUs get so much strength removed to maintain battery life.

You're not getting any bottleneck And if you rtx 3050 you can enjoy ray tracing and rx 6600 is good for 1440p gaming

Have a question use a motherboard with PCIE 3.0 where is the FPS loss higher? The RX 6600 should lose more than the RTX if the RX 6600 loses more than the RTX 3050 then I can take the RTX 3050.Bin already a small Nvidia fan boy.
@@freshyaka actually the pcie 3.0 doesn't make any difference it's like 1-2 fps difference with these cards well I prefer rtx 3050 because it can run games in 1440p with playable fps and you can also do ray tracing and every game support dlss

You'll be fine with a 650w psu, 850w will be overkill for these specs

Don't bother with these two idiots above my comment. This card doesn't have a founders edition and my advice is to get the cheapest one you can find because it's extremely power efficient and you don't need a beefy cooler for it.

I think my Rx 5600xt from XFX is faster than this and it is cheaper. Get it in a Pc for 700€ with Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb RAM (3000mgz) and 1,25tb SSD and 500gb HDD. Get 2tb Nvme SSD in it, new case and 700w instead of 450w, and 6 new Fans .
I need to sell this other things and than I get it for around 900€.

Somehow the 3050 performs too well in these tests, Just like the 3060 or 4060. In many tests in the same games, I saw different results for this video card.

Not unless you make serious compromises in the settings. Could attempt "xbox one x settings", so like 4K medium at a possible 45 fps. If dlss works well on the card you could see even more frames.

Why games only use 7GB of graphics card ram. The 3050 has 8GB of ram
Playing on higher settings uses more VRAM, typically all games won't use the max amount VRAM. Leaves head room so it doesn't bottleneck the systems performance.

this gpu is decent for its price which is near 300$ now but if u think this card is a scam i just saw a 3050 vs 3060 its like 20 to 30 fps more but u will be paying 300 to 400$ more so i would say stick to this one unless u can get a 3060 for 400$ give or take then its a good deal
