Hey. Looks good. I'm excited to start working there lol. What did u bring. Did u have to bring sheets? Do they provide soap or is there a store out there?
Is this employee cabin in East Glacier? I wonder if that's where I may stay if I work at Glacier Park Lodge, or is it only for people who work at St.Mary? Definitely something I'll ask in my interview. Thanks for the inside content!
Missed you. Glad to see you're back and living your dream (and mine). I realize you have very minimal belongings but, how do you transport them. I think you don't have a car, right? It doesn't look like it could all fit on an airplane or bus, etc. Maybe it does. Just wondering. What kind of work are you doing there this summer? It looks like a dream to me! We are cleaning out our guest room today. It's the start of our house sweeping to get ready for a more minimalist lifestyle! And once we do that, we'll be trying to get some kind of RV so we can do what you're doing. We have a dog, so we will have to stay in an RV which is fine with me!!! Enjoy your summer and keep us up on what's going on.
All my possessions fit into two suitcases so I can take them on a plane, bus, or train. This summer I am a houseman for a hotel. I basically strip the dirty linens and trash out of hotel rooms so the housekeepers can clean them. It's super easy lol
Would bringing a 32’ inch flat screen TV be weird for seasonal work? Does anyone do that?? I got a job and don’t know if I should sell mine or bring it with.
Hey Tim great video. Is this on the East side? Ill be a Jammer this summer and I hear theres a community kitchen for drivers did you ever see it? How far is the cabin from the EDR and how is the food? I liked and subscribed. Thanks
Chandra D I’m here in Yellowstone for the season, and laundry is free here. You just provide your own detergent and softener. Tim’s videos are why I’m here!! I love it so far.
Hey Tim, it's great to see you! I might follow in your seasonal work footsteps. Do you happen to know if there is seasonal or regular work in the areas of photography, videography, social media or marketing at the type of places you work at? I used to do seasonal work in the press lounge of an annual film festival back when I lived in NYC for several years in a row. And I've worked a few (unpaid) one day event gigs as well back then.
I would imagine there are but I don't really know much about those types of jobs since I only look into housekeeping gigs lol. You could check coolworks.com
Can I ask about frequent trips into town like if you need to go to Walmart how often do they have buses or someone that drives into town or do you just have to order stuff on line
It depends on the location and company you work for. Some companies have frequent employee shuttles, others go once a week or less. Some have no shuttles into town at all. I suggest asking at the initial interview.
When you first arrive there is typically a shuttle that will take you from the train station/airport to your job location. Once you are on the job site most people walk back and forth from employee housing to the job.
There was no internet when I was there. Housing included all utilities and there were 3 meals a day provided. There was also a small grocery store onsite.
I don't think there is a rule against you bringing your own mini fridge. The phone service was pretty poor except for one carrier, I think it was Verizon. But you would have to double check with HR. But there is wifi so worse case scenario you can stay in contact with family over the net.
Reminds me of living in the dorms in college. Minimalism at its best. 😀
It definitely teaches you to live simple and with less stuff. I like that about it.
Was about to say it reminds me days I stayed in a dorm.😉 Hoping they have it set up where all men or women in a cabin.
Thanks for showing us. The more info the lesser the fear factor. 😯
Yeah, I'm going to try and show more stuff this job.
I stayed at a place in Custer State Park. About the same, but we were fortunate to have a restroom to each dorm room.
Good to see you back
I’m binge watching your videos, great information, Thank You! 🙌🏾
Working in Rocky Mountain National next year, then jumping to Glacier for a year before hitting Yellowstone
Omgosh so glad you're back!!!
Thanks!!!
I am going to be up there next month maybe you can come over for dinner or at least a desert. I will get a hold of you as the time gets closer.
Glad you're back!
Thank you! :)
Reminds me of living in the army barracks.
I actually thought that was a pretty nice setup for seasonal housing. Looks livable.

Was just checking your channel yesterday and thought, uh oh, must be break time.
Meanwhile I haven't pushed the record button in at least a month.
Yeah I had to take a little break but I'm back lol

Beware the animals and whatnot. Especially the whatnot!
Hahaha! Yeah the whatnot can be a beast lol!
Thanks! 👍🏾

Hey Tim!
Hellooooo!
That reminds me of a question, is the laundry free or coin operated machines??
The laundry is free here. There are like 8 washers and dryers in the laundry room and it's just first come first serve.
Timothy Ward is that the case at most of the seasonal jobs u have travelled to so far??
Chandra D I’m here in Yellowstone for the season, and laundry is free here. You just provide your own detergent and softener. Tim’s videos are why I’m here!! I love it so far.
AKAWizKid thank u!! I'm going to start seasonal work next year, super excited. Trying to figure out a reasonable budget for the seasonal life! 😁

Do you think having a 1 year old baby would work living there?
Can you lock your stuff up?
cuddlesanddaisy Good question. 😳
Yeah, the dresser thingy has a spot where you can put a lock so no can get into it.
Are sheets and blankets provided?
Can i ask though, is there like a company shuttle or bus service that pick and drop offs to the job location or how do you back& forth to work?
When you first arrive there is typically a shuttle that will take you from the train station/airport to your job location. Once you are on the job site most people walk back and forth from employee housing to the job.
Niceness!
What is the charge for the room (monthly/weekly?) Thanks for the tour. Wendy
I think it's $12.75/day for room and board.
Can Indian do a jobs in national park in USA as a temporary employee?
Do they have AC for super hot or humid days?
No, only a heater. Most of the employee housing I've stayed in in the mountains has only had heat. They aren't big on A/C in these parts lol
wow man ıt left me ın tears :S mıssed that place and you buddy
Mustafa! What's up man!!! Good to hear from you. Miss you too brother!
@@TimothyWard I am just doıng well buddy hope so you are okey too nowadays :D
What about internet water food electricity and store
There was no internet when I was there. Housing included all utilities and there were 3 meals a day provided. There was also a small grocery store onsite.
Im about to go to grand canyon as a security/fire officer
Did u have to pay for all that??
Im doing mine full time
The company I worked for (Pursuit) charged like $10/day for room and board
Do they allow mini fridges in rooms? And how is the phone service there? Would I be able to call my parents and talk on the phone?
I don't think there is a rule against you bringing your own mini fridge. The phone service was pretty poor except for one carrier, I think it was Verizon. But you would have to double check with HR. But there is wifi so worse case scenario you can stay in contact with family over the net.
@@TimothyWard thank you!
Missed you ;)
That's good to hear, it's good to be back lo
In seasonal work how do you get mail?
Did u have reception up there??
Not really. I think Verizon worked ok up there but no one else.
How do you apply.?

I've worked at 5 seasonal jobs
Birch 😃
What's this place called?
I was working at St. Mary's Resort in Glacier National Park.
@@TimothyWard do you know of any that are hiring with housing?
Can we meet the cabinmates?😀
I'll ask them lol. Maybe my roommate...
Thank you!
