    Here's some of the video I shot while I was in Yellowstone. Just some bison, a few waterfalls, and a couple of geysers.

      I would recommend not going to college and getting into a trade. 2 years max if you do need to go to school. If you're a guy, stay away from women until you're in your 30's. Focus on getting good at a skill, making and investing your money, erasing your debt and limiting your bills, and travel.

      @@roninsjourney7560 community college can be a good idea, especially with the health trades. As for women.. I am one 😂.. but I’d say the same; focus on yourself and stay away from guys. I did this for a bit. I really miss it. I’m wondering how they are planning future seasons now.
    I worked Old Faithful Inn
    - you’re exactly right - you don’t make much money. But ppl pay a whole lot to vacation in Yellowstone for an extended time. Plus we had access to a lot of cool programs because we needed to be able to talk about them with guests. The other thing- most ppl there want o be there and are not complaining a lot. There are some issues, but mostly ppl are just working so they can be in the park.
    I did have a car - but it was already paid off and I just had to pay insurance.

    sound like me, I completely forgot, but I did it years ago. I actually am one that has made it a career. 22 years ago to be precise I put an application for Yellowstone and then forgot about it. Have to know though this was before the internet was like it is and really no such thing as email. it was there but it was not like it is now. it was still dial up and no cell phones. everything was done by snail mail. After 3 weeks I got a big manila envelope in the mail and put it aside for a long while. eventually I remembered it and when I realized what it was I lost it. Worked there for quite a number of years and then moved on to other parks. Well this year I decided to do Yellowstone 1 more time coming full circle back to where it all began. They even have my original employee number, which I get a kick out of.

    Like I've said before this is cool. I'm more intrigued. I went to the site. The question I have is will they all list that they offer room and board? More specifically if they don't say it in the aid is it not offered or should I apply anyhow? That would be the biggest thing for me, having a place to stay.

    • @TimothyWard
      @TimothyWard 6 років тому +1

      Most of the time they will say if they have room and board or not in the listing. If it's not mentioned in the listing at all I usually assume they don't offer it because most of the places that do make sure they mention it because they know that's a big selling point for potential employees. Sometimes if I really can't find anything about room and board I will call one of the contact number in the listing (usually the HR office) and ask them about it.
