- This Panthera has quickly moved up in my gun rankings to one of my favorite Airguns of all time especially after I changed it to a 22 caliber it has been so much more practical for me to use. Grab yourself a bag of popcorn and enjoy the show as I walk you through what I have done to the rifle and some cool long range shooting with some hunting footage towards the end. Thanks for watching.

Great video man. I actually watched till the end. Straight forward and unbiased. Thanks for the no bs info
Thank you!
Great review. I like the ones where guys put a few thousand rounds through the rifle before talking about it. Nice job. 👍
Now put a moderator on that thing. You won’t need hearing protection.
Thanks!
very interesting Video with very useful information. Thanks for sharing👍
Thanks for watching!
That is a sweet shooting machine!
Thanks!!
Good honest review didn’t hype up Fx like a lot of other people and showed the flaws. would love to see some more hunting subbed.
Thanks!!
Great video! Very informative
Thanks!
Yeah, I think you’re better off with 22 more shots per fill especially if you’re shooting slugs I have a 25 and I think I’m gonna go down to 22 honestly and I’m glad you got it figured out thanks for the update and I’ll be watching the channel for more panthera content thanks
i’m saving up for a pantera , you did a lot of modifications, u should be hitting cans at 300 , i was going to get the hunter compact. i think i want the 700. cool videos keep them comin
Thanks!
liked the hunt
got a 30 cal but maybe i should get the 22 cal barrel ...
I'm pretty new to these airguns but my question is can you put another air bottle on the front of that panthera? I believe I seen other pantheras with two bottles so I was curious to know
Yes you can, I believe Saber tactical makes a drop-down bottle adapter for the front.
I have an fx maverik in 22 caliber and absolutely love it. I got it on December 28th and have put approximately 15,000 rounds through it. (I'm lucky and I get to shoot daily) I am interested in what you did to help with POI shifting. I don't have the problem a lot but if I do bang the barrel it definitely happens and would like to minimize that problem.
I would definitely be interested in some more hunting videos also. I subbed. Thanks
Awesome thanks!!
I ordered the FX panthera 22 caliber 600 mm barrel. I keep hearing the shot counts not good on this gun but one girl was shooting 54 grain slugs 30 caliber and I think she had a 600 mm or 700 mm barrel and she was getting 26 shots. If that's the case shooting 34 grain pellets 22 caliber 600 mm Barrel should be higher than 26 shots shouldn't it?
I put an order in for an fx panthera. The sheet said with a 600 mm barrel, 22 caliber, 22 grain at 900 FPS you will get 80 shots. Do you think this is too optimistic? I saw somebody who was shooting a 30 caliber Pantera and she was getting 26 shots.30 caliber 54 grain.
thanks...Interesting comments on the hammer spring / weight. One issue I ran into as I went up to 145 - 150 bar on the reg, I couldn't get more velocity as I kept moving up in hammer spring tension above 13 - 3 and the ES was okish... seems like maybe I have the same issue as you did? So I had to run 30 gr slugs instead and drop the reg and hammer back to 13 - 2.5, it has been a big of struggle so far sortign a load out. I get these randon odd 1 shot flyers every second or third group wehn shot from a bench rest.
Yeah my hammer and spring maxed out right at that 145 150 bar mark. I started to go down in velocity until I got the tungsten hammer. What type of ammunition are you shooting?
@@themichiganoutdoorsman right now I use the H&N .217 - 30's, but I am using a 1:18 liner in my 700mm. My 1:16 liner liked the H&N 34's the best - but they weren't great. I shoot benchrest competion and I am wondering if my expectations are too high for the Panthera? I am expecting it to shoot 1 hole groups at 25 meters, back to back - so far it isn't really consisitent enough to do that. You don't see hardly anyone shooting back to back 50 yard groups with the Panthera, so I apprecaite what you ahve shown...thanks
@PrecisionQuest yeah maybe, I get the occasional flyer also but it’s pretty rare. I hope you get it figured out. Let me know!
Honest and informative video 👍
Any idea how many shots could you possibly get per fill with 40 gr at 1050 fps?
Thanks! If I had to guess I’d probably get 16-20 shots a fill at 4500 psi
that "spacer" at the end of the barrel - is that the 1.75" metal threaded end that slides over the end of the barrel and threads into the shroud? That metal end piece is how ours is in Canada - was yours the same?
thks
Mine didn’t thread into the shroud it was a circle with a O-ring over it and threaded in the middle to connect to the end of the muzzle then the shroud went over it.
@@themichiganoutdoorsman ok I know what you mean - that thin spacer. we don't have that part on our Panthera's...account we cannot shroud or silence our guns here. thks
Great video! Soothing to keep in mind, (that I always forget) a strong wind from the left will push a slug down and a strong wind for the right will push a slug up. Bla bla bla, great shooting.
What state are you in?
Agreed the whole adding weights and blocking the ARCA is just poor engineering. But I do like my Panthera, still searching for a good and CONSISTENT slug.
That clamp you speak off is basicly holding all your plenum pressure. Kinda scary you loosened it.
