I just loock closer and it hurt my eye?
No, quite the opposite actually, the analysis stockfish is weaker than the one currently playing and can’t understand the depth of the moves that’s currently being played by it’s stronger older brother. All of that is said for less than one second
One thing 's for sure: Stockfish's style is pleasing to the eye, with a touch of total psycho.
It seems after all that in a lot of positions in chess, what we would see as pure artistry beats what we would consider positional, precise shuffling, which I had feared in the 90s would not be proven to be the case as these engines evolved. We are truly privileged to witness this hallucinating chess geometry. If a genius were born playing like this, we would declare him divine and believe aliens visit earth from time to time. He would also mate with all the earthly girls at your local chess club, after checkmating everyone there under 30 moves while levitating above the board moving the pieces with his eyes. The world needs more geniuses after all, especially considering idiotic comments like these.

interesting... a stockfish game that has been analyzed by the engine stockfish itself.
A much weaker version, that is
I always wonder what would someone like Capablanca say if they were shown such game (without telling them where it came from of course).
Would they go "oh my God, that's genius chess", or "that's garbage, these players don't know what they're doing" :) or: "nice, but i don't know why there's something about it that i don't like" : )
They wouldn't be able to comprehend the moves. After all, even modern GMs like Hikaru and Magnus are puzzled by top engine play. Older GMs would be completely lost, regardless of how talented they were.
@@omegarodent765 that applies for SOME of the moves though - obviously not for all. it's not like the engines' games are incomprehensible from start to end...
@@vibovitold If an engine makes a move GMs don't understand, it's because the engine has seen a particular line that it likes, at a depth no human can perceive. When a GM doesn't understand a particular move, they probably wont follow quite a few moves further down that variation either, as the starting move functions as the mere beginning of a deep line.
Yes, they would likely understand certain moves, but seeing deep enough to grasp the rationale behind a modern engine's course of action would be an extreme stretch for GMs of the past. I highly doubt it would be just "some moves" that would trouble them.
Absolutely insane moves, only comps may calculate and consider safe and efficient

That is. We watch two of the strongest AI's play, and somewhere in the shadows sits the one who finds their mistakes. =)
the game is played by the two most advantaged engies in existance. The engine analyzing is pretty strong as well, but it would be beat by both of these without problm.
Except the engine analyzing the game is much weaker than both of stockfish and Komodo. The elo difference between stockfish and the engine analyzing is 600, which is the difference between a 600 rated and a 1200 rated.

you get an A* for music choice -
Right… I don’t think I’ve ever searched a song from a chess video before
I'm fascinated by the move of Rc3 instead Bc3 at 0:55 wow.
Dark bishops are important
black can't take the rook because the threat is after bishop recaptures, white wants to play Ne5 and Rh3 for Rg3. Instead of capturing, black plays e5 to prevent this, but if black captures the rook first, e5 isn't an option because the bishop no longer is protecting e5. After Bxc3 Bxc3, black's only move is Qd7 to keep an eye on the the g7 square (Qd8 allows moves like g4 and Rh3 more quickly). after Qd7, white plays Ne5. Qg7 is forced to defend the pawn and prevent Rh3 (because the pin on the knight, white won't be able to play Nxg6 because that hangs the bishop), so white plays Kd2 to defend the bishop, now d6 is too slow because after Nxg6 Qxg6, Rh3 traps the queen (bishop pair from hell + Rg3 skewer). Best continuation is e5 Rg3 Qxg3, now black has 2 rooks for a queen and material is equal. But black has a lone flank pawn, exposed king, goofy looking light squared bishop, and a knight that can't move vs the bishop pair from hell and the queen, it's unwinnable for black
Komodo dragon sounds so much scarier than stockfish, and yet stockfish is higher rated, and it won.
I saw the time and thought it was gonna be sped up super fast and then forgot that they can make literal 200 IQ moves in an instant
The music turns this into a primal fight for survival. A territorial fight.
Imagine with me if there was a chess player with the same level of these engines, he would be an extraordinary person, or rather a chess prodigy.
Chess prodigy is an understatement. 3800 elo... would be like comparing Carlsen to a bit strong 1800 chess club player. Imagine.
He would be a great chess player and a very talented one for sure and for today's Standart insane. But as fisher and other famous chess player said, newer chess champions are not nessacary more talented there is just more theory and analytics out nowadays. A lot of chess nowadays is about learning opening and etc and memorizing stuff rsther than just taken. Not denying though that gm chess player and etc are also clearly talented but if you take old World champions and have them be born nowadays they would be a lot better than back then.

Undoubtedly the most powerful chess software in the world, Stockfish has competed against many other powerful software such as Leela Chess Zero, Alpha Zero, Maximum 25, now the Komodo Dragon, even won Chess King Magnus Carlsen. Stockfish will hold the throne as the most powerful chess software for a long time
But it’s already been dethroned by Alpha Zero…
The fact that SF is weaker than AlphaZero is evidenced by the fact that in only 100 matches that the two sides have played AlphaZero has won 28 and drawn 72 (Not lost) and is leading in the chess machines in the world but Google DeepMind. not updated. . moreover, while SF kept upgrading and hit 3800 elo and AlphaZero only lasted 3400 elo thus making Stockfish the most powerful chess engine in the world.

0:55 I wonder why black bishop didn't take the rook
I actually paused the video there wondering the same thing
Computers have no concept of the value of pieces. They only care about piece activity and tactics. In this position, the computers actually determined that the bishop is worth more than the rook since if black took the rook, white's bishop would recapture and be staring down on the black king from afar.
Idk but personally I trust Komodo more than my own moves
Probably because black bishop is a super powerful defensive and offensive piece occupying that big diagonal, so Komodo doesn't want to loose it (even if it's for a rook).
And also because Komodo probably predicts that it will be a closed position where rooks are a bit useless
Because the bishop was a very important defender that Kokodo, specially once the position opens in the king side. The rook wasnt doing much. Trading would just leave white qith control of that huge diagonal
at 0:55 komodo can't take the c3 rook with the g7 bishop?

why didnt white do bishop takes instead of rook takes and why black didnt take rook??
Because, for computers, rooks are useless. Bishop is more important because he protects king.
Because black squares and king side were weak and white's bishop were more threatful at that diagonal.
Computers value the space and control that a bishop gives, that’s also why SF took with rook, a knight and bishop is actually vastly more valuable then a rook even though they seem like they are close to equal material wise. SF mad a lot of moves that look questionable at first glance but nice you start looking deeper they make sense
