No one else notices the central driving position? That's awesome! I also love that you can see the actual throttle pedal move on the automatic downshift blips. Really cool car this!
If you watch, the down shift is violent and I think that's just slop in the pedal your seeing. It seems a bit much to put a rev match system in a engine and trans that see 8k rpm as often as this thing. You can see the driver heel toe the crap out of the car . this car is a motorcycle engine and trans most likely( seems to run out of gear on some parts of the track) no need for a sequential shift and air solenoid like on a rally car. I would guess the tech in this rig is in the suspension and down force .
@@robsorgdrager8477 What ,what ,what, did you watch? it is rev matching on the down blips, the gear box is sequential, air powered with paddles. Not once did he heel and toe.(Show us the time stamps you claimed he heeled and toed the crap out if it) A lot of tech in this from the ECU's to the electric power steering, and shifting system.

I had built a Fiat Dallara Replica back in the 90’s using ditching the 1.5 na for a turbocharged Fiat 124’s 1.8 that was bored and stroked to just over 2L that despite all that work and money cost me way more than it would have cost me to retrofit a Busa into it. If only I had thought of this then.
@Almerich !APO statt AfD! even the best drivers make mistakes sometimes. and in hillclimb, mistake often means a crash, on a racetrack, a spin or going wide.
@Almerich !APO statt AfD! hes braking very hard, hitting pretty much all the apexes, countersteering very fast without losing much time when he has to, and getting on throttle at or before the apex... hes a great driver. you can be great while not being F1 material, which you really cant say if he is or not at a hillclimb like this..
this must be real twitchy to drive. It would scare the living shed out of me having snap oversteer due to short wheelbase and mid engine placement. I'm not surprised it crashed but it saddens me. I hope theycan rebuilt it to former glory - a truely astonishing mashine!

Cool project, but why bother with the X1/9 silhouette? It's neither an X1/9 nor a fast as it could be with a bespoke body shape?
Which one is faster?
1/9 Hayabusa or 1/9 320HP Alfa???
This one is certainly louder...
1/9 with an 3.2 V8 RPX engine, a 95 kg Judd V8 or a Kawasaki H2R supercharged 300hp engine.
All of those would be way lighter than the Alfa engine.
