How does this thing handle the way it does? I've seen many great drivers push very well tuned cars but nothing seems to move like this x1/9

The car only weights 1400 lbs....that's the main key to it's incredible handling. Add to that an optimized suspension and super sticky tarmac rally tires and this guy is "glued" to the road.
He drives that car as if it was a videogame. This is probably the best pilot I've ever seem. He knows the car as if he was married to it.

sorry for the late reply, it's an X-Trac sequential 6-speed from the Alfa SuperTouring, plus a D2 4-cylinder twincam motor I think 385bhp.
That's a lot of power for something so presice and responsive as an x19, we had a x19 sprint and time attack car back in the day and that was running a fiat croma turbo engine with about 240bhp and that felt ridiculously fast so this thing must be next level scary
this fiat is so balaneced wonder what engine it has perfect skill in drivihg faster than any ferrari could do it

A pity you can not differentiate understeer from a magnificent car driven to amazing limits; flawlessly on-line in every corner. Were you a real driver rather than an arm chair critic you would observe the car is amazingly neutral and tends towards oversteer when Manuel powers out of the corners, exactly as it should be set up. "Pig", "Lump"? What is your driving experience, what sort of hillclimb monster do you own? It is a credit to the X/19 that with a Japanese motorcycle engine it can kick yet more ass...but that is a monstrosity and perversion. This baby is all italian!
