Me having every weapon and still watching the video
The reason why retrofit was so good was because of the ammo economy with FTTC and the synergy with Gyrfalcon providing crazy damage because of volatile rounds. Speleologist has neither of those aside from the ammo economy and damage if you happen to be fighting a vehicle which is very rare.
Even without Volatile it had good total damage, because of the ammo economy; but even with that, it was only ever good for long damage phases like Warlord's final boss or Kelgorath in Heist: Mars. CoolGuy summed up Speleologist best though; it's a stand in weapon for others that are time gated or a massive pain to farm: Avalanche can be a better platform for Incandescent, and Fixed Odds can be a better platform for Killing Tally. Since I have a god roll of both of those, I crafted my Speleologist into a Solar Retrofit, just in case there's a long phase boss in a Solar Surge that moves too much to plink at with Whisper, but I admit it's niche....
I never thought firefly/incandescent on Nullify was a good idea if you’re going for solar builds. Firefly can be a detriment with ember of searing because you’re killing ads too fast. This is why I sometimes prefer Zaouli’s Bane over Sunshot. You’re better off going with heal clip to work better with ember of benevolence.
It's mostly because it's not only a unique combo found only on the Nullify but the Firefly kills spread Incandescent, allowing Inan to spread further. It's the better perk combo for pure weapon strength. However I do agree Heal Clip would be much better if you're looking to use it with more subclass synergy.

IMO they really need to start being creative now with these perk roll combinations and start doing unique legendaries because every season now feels like im just grinding the same rolls with just different origin petks.
honorable mention should be Pro Memoria
This thing is a MONSTER. As soon as i got it in the campaign, it was glued to my guardian. I have mine with Hatchling and Desperate Measures and oh man does it slay ads.
Abberant Action, The Call, Nullify, Non-Denoument, Martyrs, Scintillation, Pro Memoria, Lost Signal, and The Riposte are my favorite weapons this season.
I actually loved all the Exotics too. Khovostov, Chorus Of One, Microcosm, Euphony....all wonderful.
Riposte is such an "auto rifle" lol.
Really good perks and base performance.
Wish it was 900rpm thou
Don't have and never will have raid weapons, plus new raid weapons are mid
Abberant action with beacon rounds/ incandescent actually go crazy
Beacon rounds is fun but it's as needed as tracking on rocket launchers as a perk, IE very much optional. IMO it's nowhere as useful as perks like heal clip or field prep
Beacon rounds is kind of a stupid perk if you know how to aim it’s a wasted perk slot

Lost signal with auto/unrelenting is crazy. I have lead/OFA as well and it works great to but, a healing witherhoard is just amazing.

@FrostReach66 I still think it's troubling signs the seasonal content is boring. The core modes suck it's not going to improve without some massive overhauls, and I've lost faith in bungie to make the needed changes
Thank you Onslaught for letting me get all the vex seasonal weapons. Finally got a rocket sidearm which has been good for grenade builds. I got all I needed from the season I didnt participate in
Thank you for the list. I was not able to play much this Episode but this list will save me time on what to grind. I hope that you are also able to make a video about what weapons are still relevant and worth farming not only from this Episode but from any activity.

Every time I try a wave frame they piss me off and never shoot where I want. The inconsistency of the gun type annoys me so much. Same with the spike grenade, idk how many times I've hit a flat surface just for it to be aiming at the ground lol
PSA!!! Perfect Paradox and Marty's Retribution can be farmed with double perks if you run Enigma Protocol and only loot the first chest, then reset. If you don't claim the second/final chest. All weapon drops will be double perk.

It’s kinda crazy how power crept our weapons are cause you could have started in final shape and literally anything from this season/pale heart/raid is miles ahead of anything we’d gotten last year

Remember these are good rolls in HIS opinion. Always pick rolls that compliment your build/play style.
I find 'Cast No Shadows' to be more effective on marty than perfect paradox

Honestly, Heliocentric should've been included in this list. Basically a requirement for things like solo dungeons and can hold it's own even as a sidearm!

Pro memoria is my most used weapon this season
Not having pro on here is a crime, that weapon shreds in all content
I like the Hatchling perk when I come across ads. So fun to see it shred.
Corrasion i couldn't justify another arc pulse with volt shot but high impact with frenzy makes the dps insane when both are active. Paired with the artifact and it's a pulse version of thunderlord 😂
Hope we get a support frame in the dungeon next episode.

Trench barrel on Perfect Paradox is a bait perk.
I use abherant action more than the call khovostov and Necrochasm are to good to pick the call over them.
I have three scintillation, one with b&s, one with FL and one with surrounded and that last one is crazy good on bosses like ir yut or the last boss in GOTD!

I slept on it too until a few days ago. Go try it out. It's basically a Witherhoard without being an exotic. I deleted so many of them but thankfully I got the pattern.
They need to just add all supers to prismatic too and all melees and grenades
"No keyboard reacts to your inputs faster" Except for Wooting the literal keyboard that both Steelseries and Razer have been trying to copy lol.
Not to mention that "rapid trigger" is the same function that Razer included (and Wooting via software update) that recently got banned from use in CS2 (and likely any Valve game) so it's very likely SteelSeries Rapi trigger feature gets banned too.

Maybe i’m out of the loop, but have they even announced anything substantial for the next seasons and year? All I saw was that useless roadmap with names and placeholders.
Idk I think heavy bursts are good but I just feel like they’re not THAT good. The pause between burst isn’t long but enough to where beefy enemies are bombarding you. The support frame yes is good as a support weapon but that’s it. The damage is trash and firing it ADS still has projectiles with travel time. That is the worst thing on the gun mixed with the damage I gave it try’s too and enemies die so slow and my shots feel weaker than all the autos and I genuinely hate the feel of it PERIOD. Besides those all the other picks are great. I just feel there’s something better than those specific 2

Pro memoria. How tf did you miss the new best MG as an alternative to Commemoration with Reconstruction/Bait and Switch? But you added Speleologist(one of the worst mgs ever) bro fell off 🤣
The problem Pro Memoria has is Song of Ir Yut, which is also available in Reconstruction Bait & Switch. CoolGuy summed up Speleologist best, in that the other good platforms for its standout perks (Incandescent and Killing Tally) are either gated behind The Dawning or only drop off Caitl in Duality.
But yes, Pro Memoria is good, and has good rolls for both boss damage and add clear (I did a Hatchling one because I have that Song of Ir Yut, but didn't have a Hatchling MG)
@@IainG10 1. Ir Yut is a raid weapon that a lot of people dont want to bother with. 2. It's a different sub type element than Pro Memoria which leads to different synergies and my third and fourth point. 3. Pro Memoria can apply unraveling rounds and create tangles. 4. Like you said, Pro Memoria can roll with hatchling 5. The dealer choice origin perk which not only makes itself stronger, but also The Call and No Hesitation allowing for very high utility uptime on all abilities including super.
@@TailPress09 All true, although I'll posit that more people do Crota's end for the variety of good weapons in it (including Necrochasm) than do Duality, which has very few notable weapons (including Heartshadow, which is very niche). Also, I think Dealer's Choice suffers for being stackable, because it limits you to either no Exotic or Khvostov; it would be far better if you just got most of the full value flat. I can get way more Super energy just slaying out with Sunshot, Trinity Ghoul, Graviton Lance, Osteo or any number of other Exotics than by forgoing them for Dealer's Choice. Personally I wouldn't put either of these MGs as 'must have', nor Speleologist for that matter; my 'must have' MG is a Subsitence Incandescent Avalanche.

Damage up, RoF down (can't remember if it's dealing damage or kills that increase the stacks). The RoF down is what makes it a bottom tier damage perk; sure damage goes up, but DPS doesn't increase nearly as much.

As a player who has played since day one of this franchise I thought I’d never not care about must have weapons. I already have weapons with healing traits, class synergy, debuffs & damage buffs with a vault that’s always at 580+ items. This franchise needs a reset so bad.
