    I want to also thank you for inviting us into your home and life. That’s no small thing and so appreciated. I LOVE the in depth chemistry and pharmacokinetics education. It has allowed me to research providers and treatments with more knowledge and empowerment. You are amazing for doing so much when you don’t have to. Thanks for being our hero!

    Dr Kappel, I like your mdaire. It’s actually helping my skin and I really appreciate the eye regenerative cream it actually made my sleepy behind eyes pigment go away. I’m 29 now and live in Chicago and work with the public and weakened immune system so I still have to wear masks and it still kind of creates acne on my nose because it’s being worn for 8 hours a day

    😮My derm won't use lasers on someone w/fillers anymore after it caused them to dissolve. She prefers peels.

      According to dr Kappel only Thermage which is not a laser but an energy device should not be done after fillers. I am actually getting my treatments with her. She looks even better in person.

    This was super informative. I just started using a very unusual product from Avon, it's a Snail Mucin serum and also a Snail Mucin face cream. I find it to be unlike any other moisturizer I've ever experienced. It leaves my skin surface sort of most and 'tacky' and for dry skin that's pretty cool. Also it's cruelty free and no snails are harmed. lOL!

    Once I figured out that I had malassezia fungus on my face and how to treat it (fungal acne) I’ve achieved almost glass like skin. I still have pores, but the skin looks 100% smoother now that I know what ingredients I have to avoid. Unfortunately, I can’t use a lot of skin care products because of this condition because it will encourage malassezia yeast growth. 😢

    The closest I’ve gotten is a good care routine and daily spf use with regular chemical peels like mandelic and tca and then doing certain laser that have at least a mildly ablative capability. I also like ipl for redness and old sun damage.

    Vitamin D deficiency causes so many negative symptoms. If you sunblock day and night, over time, would this habit cause more harm?

    • @metoo3342
      @metoo3342 4 дні тому

      No because sunscreen isnt 100% effective and some light always makes it through which is enough for your body to turn into vitamin D. Also many foods are fortified with it so its not really necessary to get it from sunlight

    Hi Dr Kappel - Is there a treatment that can be done to improve the texture of hand skin? I can't do fillers because my hands are chubby as it is. My hand skin is dry, wrinkled and cracked no matter how much moisturizer I use. I am 47.

    I'm curious why you say Retinaldehyde helps to a lesser extent than Retinol? I always have read that Retinaldehyde is more potent than Retinol since it only needs one conversion to become active. I use Tretinoin though which is the most effective

    • @metoo3342
      @metoo3342 4 дні тому

      The amount of conversion doesnt really determine the strength. Tazarotene has to convert but it is still is stronger than tretinoin.

      That makes no sense because it's laser not microneedling right? I had microneedling done and got MORE texture on my skin (in prone to keloid scarring) and now my chin looks like I have cellulite on it like little dotted scars, and my forehead has dots of pores now
