Erik, the pine looks a lot nicer with it's polished finish than if it's beauty were hidden in the dark behind painted wall board. Simply Awesome.....!

+Jack Maravola Thanks Jack this was an experiment and I really like the way the pine looks in the light it has much more fire in it than I would have thought.

Very good. I'm really enjoying your work and the way you design a piece. Would you ever have imagined Pine turning out so well? That was quite a bonus.
    Best Wishes, Brendan.

Thanks Allen, Soft and pitchy are two reasons, but certain pieces of dry clear pine can be nice as well as eastern yellow pine, or norfolk pine. Always try new things just be safe!

I love all your work, I am always inspired with your ideas. This pine wood is looking good. Did you think about a darker stain for it? It may look even better.

is that a 5/8" regular bowl gouge with short wings ,you used for roughing ?. and a round nose scraper for smoothing out the bottom ? Nice bowl !
