sorry about the teams section i was recording from a space shuttle in take-off I STREAM ON TWITCH AND WILL DO PULL THIS WEEKEND: twitch.tv/braxophone twitter.com/braxophone
@@howtowithfriends4153 Personally I would go with Yelan, I used to be f2p (low spender now). She carried me through so much content and I have her on alright artifacts and she stills destroys everything with her burst at C). She is super easy to build cause of HP scaling and emblem. She is top tier for a reason.
They made him quite difficult is pretty lore accurate since he's such a big brain character but very rewarding to play. Only have him at lvl50 but he already smurfed so hard
Mine is lvl 90, both character & sig wp. For the whole day 1 grinded in my world & others so hard I am exhausted now. Gotta say, he is worth it. And learning his kit since day 1 beta leak helps a lot adapting to his stack & cd management. Play him after clearing his strou quest, this is so true. We play him like how he think. We got genuine feeling to play hia character.
@@teeman7137 his scaling is now balanced compared from the beta testing where he had insane scaling but, honestly, it doesn't matter if he doesn't have high scaling 'cause dendro is just leagues stronger than the rest of the elements.
reminds me of childe when he first came out. everyone said he sucked cause they didn't know how to play him properly. but then everyone realised that if they jus managed him correctly he would be very rewarding, but very punishing if not.
I realised this too. I wasn’t too keen on haitham before, but after playing him, he handles like Childe. High risk, high reward gameplay (with high skill ceiling)
And since he’s Dendro, there’s potential that he’s going to be competitive in meta teams and can be slotted in future teams that require a lot of Dendro
I do wonder though, would he be good in overworld? I mean, you can't always ult for the 3 stacks. I guess it's not such a big deal. getting 2 stacks with his E and 1 with his passive makes 3 too for shorter trades.
His Gameplay is literally "Think before you act" and i love it😂 Also , if you want Crowd Control on AlHaitham team then you can run Kazuha with Favonius sword and 4pc Deepwood memories.
I firmly believe that Kuki was basically made for him. I gave her my dendro resistance shred set. Idk who to use else with him though. I now use fiscl and beidou as they are okayish built and with this team I have a shield, a heal and a lot of single target and aoe dmg.
Honestly same but I still use him, just not to his full potential 😅 Just spamming his E & burst 🤡 it's fun, he's fun to play with tbh and I'm not a fan of slow attack speeds but alhaitham is just diff
I like him a lot so far, I like that you actually have to think when using him instead of just spamming the attack button. Don't have Kuki but he's been really fun with Raiden, Nahida and Kokomi so far.
@@darien4969 You do if you don't want him to be dead weight, and that's not the only comp, but talking power, yes, he's a big upgrade to Dendro Traveler that I was using before. That's like someone saying they're happy with Ayato on National and insulting them because Xingqui, Bennett and Xiangling are already strong together. If you wanna know, I've used him with Dori, Fischl, Xingqui replacing and it's still fun and strong if you play him right.
@@darien4969 Its about the gameplay, you need to keep your stacks up for the most damage. And still; even with the kokomi healing you don't want to be knocked around. Getting knocked around means less time with max stacks damaging opponents.
alhaitham's playstyle feels pretty in tune with his personality tbh. he's literally spiting in your face if your are incompetent. i can just imagine him judging my sorry ass for not using him perfectly... and this thought gives me life🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can't imagine too many people pulled for it, but Xiphos Moonlight (the EM sword from a couple banners ago) is actually a really good option for him. Passive gives energy recharge per point of EM. You gain smoother rotations in exchange for a dmg passive.
@@istantwiceandloona6935 It’s not that far under. Also if you can’t burst off of cooldown with the umbrella then you will benefit more with Xiphos. Plus the drip is better.
@@isabelpina8288 I tried using the umbrella but my crit dmg was too low so I went with r5 Harbinger of Dawn and I think it works great too cause I built a lot of EM in his artifacts
Its honestly better to give that to his support and if you have kuki in his team use HoD in exchange for more crid dmg if you have enough EM on artis. With Kuki's E as long as she's at least c2 you can keep up with HOD's passive.
thanks for this guide it was helpful and you made alhaitham kit easy to understand also 6:02 was so smooth I actually subscribed when you gave me the second lol
I just got my best pull sesion thanks to this dude and my cat! I got him and a kequing to guarantee a another 5 star in around 47 pulls it felt increidible to have a double in a 10 pull, the funny thing is that it was when my cat pressed the confirm button with her nose. Then only for laughs I tried 1 pull in the weapon banner with her doing the same and I got the light of foliar! This year has started great, I hope it continues to get better.
If there’s any character that would reward a high degree of skill / punish “plug & play”, it’d be Dendro Daddy Alhaitham 😂 Kudos to them for linking his play style to his characterization!
@@Ivy-jq6di Yupp I know, I chose childe over hu tao in 2.3 or 2.4 when there was his rerun & people be like you did what😂🤣. Tho I don't mean that hu tao is bad, she's godly but I preferred childe's playstyle more appealing than hu tao that time. Never regretted it once, now I have thundering pulse for him😁
Funnily enough, I think it would suit Klee, more if we're talking about "high degree of skill". Remove any shielders and you're now playing on nightmare difficulty.
Don't forget that if you already have good CD/CR artifacts, running the FTP ER sword, Sapwood Blade is also really good because the seed it drops gives you a massive bump of 120 EM for 12s, and the passive effect can only proc once every 20 seconds which is about the same time as his full rotation for his charged/plunging attack mirror charge. It basically gives you a 12% bump in damage due to his passive giving him .1% per point of EM.
Well it is a pretty good weapon. I use mine on bennet for the high base attack. The problem is... it's like xiangling's gouba pepper on the ground. Usually you don't have the time to pick it up, and when you do pick it up, you're out of combo. They should really change those effects to just a passive instead of having to pick it up. Would make it so much better. But what works for you, works for you. No sweat. I don't always use the most chosen weapon either on a characters. I have a freedom sworn (lucky pull a while ago). I might equip that to him if I win my 50/50. Edit: I am dumb. Might be more valuable to go my R5 black sword.
I was waiting for him but was hesitant because he looks hard to play. But I still pulled him anyway and won the 50/50. Pulled another 30 pulls, just to get Yao Yao, but I got another Alhaitham instead! Now I don't really have to struggle with the cooldown too.The luckiest I've been to this date. And my first 5 star C1 (non-standard).
I like how he has a high skill floor and higher skill ceiling. But I recently got a C1 Tiggy between Nahida and Scara banners so now I've been using Tiggy and he's INSANE. I would love someone to do a Tighnari vs Alhaitham pros and cons list
I can give you a quick pro's and cons : Tighnari: -Easier to play if you like that -functions more like a sub-dps pre C6, and after he's like Ganyu. -High single target damage -use if you like a lot of hits and smaller numbers Alhaitham: -Is a bit complexer to maximize damage potential if you like that -Can be played as main dps, but subdps is a niche - high multi target damage. -use if you like a lot of hits and smaller numbers
@@artaleasham4105 The thing is, Alhaitham's single target is just as good as his AOE because his dendro rain swords hit one target multiple times. Basically, Alhaitham is good at everything Tighnari is good at if not better. (except for being ranged of course.) Tighnari is really good for spread but he's bad at bloom and its sub-reactions like hyperbloom and burgeon because of his short field time while Alhaitham is good at every single dendro reaction teams because he's a dendro driver, in other words, he applies dendro consistently, you can literally achieve 100% uptime with Alhaitham if you start his combos with his burst. (given that you have enough ER). It takes time to get used to his rotations though but once you get the hang of it, it'd be just as easy as breathing lol. Alhaitham's base stats are also a little higher than that of Tighnari. Also, we have to keep in mind that one is a limited 5* while the other is a standard. I'm not saying Tighnari is weak, he certainly is good, probably the best among the standard characters, but Alhaitham is just better in terms of damage and versatility. But at the end of the day, it's better to play the character you like more, it's not as if this game is hard. 🤷
With multiple possibilities when it comes to Dendro teams, I’m glad that Yae/Kuki was reinvigorated to the top of meta. I pulled them both pre-Sumeru where they work just fine, but it had been hard having to find a team to slot them in. With Dendro they now become extremely competitive and is a staple in teams (Cyno quickbloom, Nahida variants, etc.)
My favorite team atm is duo carry with Alhaitham/Hyper Raiden/Nahida/Zhongli. Alhaitham and Raiden together share a 20s rotation. It's satisfying to see that after alhaitham's time , I burst with Raiden. Rotation is Raiden E, Zhongli E, Nahida EQ, Alhaitham's rotation, Raiden Q... Rinse and repeat. ER on Alhaitham is 120 and it is enough in my experience
13:49 it’s so funny to see just how much damage you get from self-Bloom. I checked last month’s summary and my Tighnari had received 251k damage in spiral abyss.
needed someone fun to finish my nilou bloom team since i didnt like using nahida as my driver. its a pain looking for those rock pinecones but so far hes doin alright. raiden hyperbloom (raiden, XQ, nahida, koko) and al-lou super bloom (alhaitham, nilou, nahida, koko) pretty much round out my dendro teams with c2 raiden to reconfigure if i wanna change into aggravate or national. honestly the MVP character for 3.X is definately nahida. the AoE tri karma provides when linking all the adds to spread reaction damage cant be understated.
I tested him out like 5x in the trial. I can tell you this. If you like characters like Childe/Scaramouche; characters with more complexity to them and a lot of hits, this is the character to go for. If you would rather have a easy time playing dendro but want a 5 star, go Tighnari. I am going to pull for him and I will have enough wishes soon enough. So wish me luck on my 50/50.
@@markjunlibrado9664 in my opinion not though, with Childe all you have to do is (if you have polar star) hit your charged attack first, then your skill and ult on a vape. Then e attack all you want until they're dead because you will only need 6 seconds with his e on and if not you can keep going anyway. With Tartaglia its basically just managing 1 cooldown. Besides that, tartaglia is ranged when he needs to be (to shoot a mechanical enemy down for example.). With Al-Haitham you need to hit your ult first, after 4 seconds hit your charged attack or skill, and then after 4 seconds hit your other ability that you didnt use. You can screw up more easily here because you really have a instance more to screw up than Tartaglia if you don't time it right. He needs to watch 2 cooldowns and is full melee.
@@artaleasham4105 hmm I respect your opinion maybe I'm not used in childe cuz I literally master his mechanics for about 5days before my muscle memory works.. And I'm really confused on how to double swirl on kazuha before. Unlike alhaitam just by playing his trial for about 50 or so... I really get the hang out of how his mechanics works.
@@artaleasham4105 I think the other guy that If u screw with Childe's rotation, the dps loss is really big. Haithams mirrors can be saved by his burst if a player does his skill wrong, unlike Childe if play his skill wrong, it's big dps loss coz his ranged burst cant bring his melee form quicker.
@@markjunlibrado9664 yes I always use Childe/Xiangling/Kazuha/Bennet. I start with a charged attack for polar star, swirl the hydro with Kazuha skill, use Bennet skill and ult, use kazuha ult, then use xianglings skill and burst, then use childe E activate hit and burst then slash all I want. You can turn around kazuha rotation by using ult on Childe charged attack to make childe be the one to deal the most damage. However I would recommend the other rotation because the main damage dealer in this comp is actually supposed to be xiangling. Childe's strength is his hydro application and vape ult for me. I need to use all his abilities in a certain timeframe for the polar star. In overworld really you can just walk around with childe and kazuha and do slash and ult combo's. He doesnt need more dps there if he even needs kazuha.
His gameplay is the reason why I pulled for him and its the reason that others skipped him. So yeah he is also very fun to play . In addition i think he can use sac sword for managing his mirrors and extending his overall damage.. I also got baited for pulling his sig weapon and yes i not fortunate
I love love hearing the ffxiv music in the background. I remember hearing it on your twitch channel too. Your vids are great, Brax! This one was very helpful in helping me figure out a good rotation for him.
Why is everyone forget about Skyward blade though? It's really good for Alhaitham. The main stat 55% ER is good for him. The passive boost atk and movement speed, increasd his charge and normal atk too, and it add a little bit of crit rate too. The drip is also good on him more so than his sig. weapon (IMO).
Tbh i think raiden and alhaitham broken. Like, Alhaitham as a main dps, and Shogun as a sub. With her elemental skill she can support alhaitham. When alhaitham is in cooldown, just spam her burst, it works nicely.
After one whole month of maining Alhaitham almost exclusively, these are my thoughts, that might be useful to newtime players of him when he reruns. 1. I do not have access to Nahida, so I decided to improvise. I ran him with Yaoyao, Xingqiu and Fischl in a Hyperbloom comp. 2. Though Yaoyao initially caused energy problems with him, like Brax says, I subverted this by spamming everyone on the team with ER. I then focused Alhaitham on EM and Crit DMG. 3. In Hyperbloom, a healer will eventually become necessary, and Yaoyao covers that role perfectly, while also slotting in as a second dendro. The only problem she has is that her ult is an on-field ability, stealing field time from Alhaitham, who is your carry. All in all, he is a niche character that serves extremely well in certain comps. he is harder than the average character to learn, but it is immensely satisfying once you get your rotations down and consistently manage to burst in every cycle. This video taught me how to play him, and I've done extremely well.
I am bit baffled why youtubers don't recommend Sacrificial Sword for him. I know it may not have the highest DPS potential, but it has the ER mainstat and passive which resets your cooldown on skill which makes playing Alhaitham and sustaining his mirrors much easier!
Yes I actually have been thinking this too. His skill is on a 18 second cd. You will be able to make your rotation 16 seconds instead of 12 and your er requirement is kinda met. I do however see a small problem and this is mostly based on the pool of characters we have now. Who can give him buffs for 16 seconds? Most buffs end around the 12-10 second mark. And in the 6 seconds of alhaithams downtime, you can normally use your off-field characters skills/abilities before going back onto alhaitham. Having another instance can screw it up, unless they bring out longer buff duration supports. I also like the idea of sacrificial. But in practice you need longer buffs.
Just cavemanning him for general world exploration I find his dmg to be around 10k, but I have been looking into electro characters to pair with him for an increase in dmg so this video helps a lot! (Also Nahida was the dendro character I had built before to pair with my Ayato, so knowing she will help my new main DPS too is good to know.)
Burst->1 Rep->CA->1 Rep->Skill->1 Rep->Swap Takes up around 15s of field time and only utilizes triple mirrors for max dps (1 Rep=4NA->dash->4NA) You CAN loop for way longer (Burst->1 Rep->CA->1 Rep->Skill->2 Reps->CA->2 Reps->Skill->1 Rep->CA->2 Reps) if you only care about the infusion being up, but are then obviously losing quite a bit of damage not only because you are only using 1-2 mirrors, but also losing damage from your supports' and subdps skills not being utilized, so this isn't OPTIMAL However, remember the game is played FOR FUN, so don't get turned off just because you CAN all of this stuff with this character ^^ Final note: due to how self-sufficient he is, he is great for any of you coop enthusiasts Thanks for reading, have fun and good luck in your pulls, Traveler!
this guide made me envision his kit more clearly :) and now i do think his kit isnt so complicated, as i just stopped and think for a minute and now i know what to do with him xD
*Pull off 6 consecutive instances of rain blades with him. You don’t need to count seconds. Just look for visual clues. Here’s how to maintain 3 mirrors:* 1. Cast Burst (Q) with zero mirrors. He’ll get a refund of 3 mirrors. 2. Do normal attacks (don’t do charged attacks at this point), and procc 2 instances of rain blades. 3. When you see the 2nd instance of rain blades, cast his Skill (E) to maintain 3 mirrors. 4. Do normal attacks again (still no charged attacks) and procc 2 more instances of rain blades. 5. When you see the 2nd instance of rain blades, now you can do a charged attack to maintain 3 mirrors. 6. Do normal attacks to procc another 2 instances of rain blades. That’s a total of 6 consecutive rain blades. 7. And then you can just spam his infused attacks until his mirrors run out. It takes practice and familiarity to do this. So be patient. But once you nail this, the satisfaction is so awesome!! 🤘
my recommendation: this is the setup i use for my alhaitham, take it with a grain of salt bc there are probably better team comps out there, but this is based solely off of my preference. run alhaitham with LOFI (iron sting if you dont have lofi) and 4 piece gilded dreams set (run EM for sands, crit rate for circlet, and dendro dmg bonus for goblet.), yae miko and kaguras verity (widsth if you dont have kagura) for aggravate sub dps, kazuha w/ freedom sworn (iron sting if you dont have freedom sworn) for electro swirl/extra aggravate dmg and elemental dmg bonus, and kirara with sapwood blade and the 4 pc deepwood set (try to roll all pieces for hp so you can take advantage of her shielding), C4 kirara can proc dendro off field as long as her shield is up so you can also utilize the sapwood blade passive this is the team comp i use and it hasnt failed me yet but if any of you have tweaks for this comp do feel free to let me know
I have Alhaitham with Nahida, Fischl and kuki (don't have yae). I love him (currently lvl 70) destroying all the world bosses(lvl 93) halfway through the rotation😁😁😁. I have even seen 28k spread tick 😆😆😆 I am loving him. Just did floor 12 to see his dmg potential and yeah 6 star aren't that bad in my eyes💚💚💚 but definitely need to learn the rotations properly. Thanks for the help👍🏻👍🏻
This is what I'm gonna do (if I get him) - Al Haitham, Keqing, Nahida and Jean. Al'Haitham kit can work in ANOTHER way - his burst does max dmg when he has 3 feathers so instead of using his burst to give him feathers, I'll use feathers to give him strong burst. This way, I can play him QUICKSWAP. And it's gonna be REAL quick - he'll get 3 feathers with E and charged atk (or normal atk). I'm DEDICATED to make him a complete copy of Keqing.
@astyutechick7980 Would you go with an emblem of severed fate set then, preferably one with good EM and crit stats? Make up for needing higher ER with the emblem set bonus, plus you probably have those emblem sets already. I already have a great elemental mastery Emblem sands with double crit that I haven't been able to use for anyone
Been testing out different sets and weapons on him, and just wanted to add that ATK/EM/Crit is also great, especially if you're using 2PC Deepwood or a weapon like Mistsplitter or Jade Cutter. I know having a good EM sands is hard to get, and many newer characters are hungry for one, so at least for Alhaitham, this is a good alternative with minimal damage reduction from the classic EM/Dendro/Crit
For me I prefer Alhaitham, Nahida, Beidou, Kuki Shinobu. Beidou can provide shield and off field damage for Alhaitham, and also reduce damage. Kuki Shinobu is healer and also provide energy for Beidou, it's best to use the Moonlight sword so can provide energy for whole team while she will have high EM too
Thanks a lot for the guide I just got him a few days ago because I have pulling addiction ( I am trying to get rid of it ) so I will start building him :D ( ahh now I want Yae and Nahida so bad )
My current team is Alhaitham, yelan, nahida, kuki. Kuki has 936 EM on the bloom set. Nahida has 400Em on deep wood but has 64cr and 165cd with 145% ER. Yelan on elegy with severed fate, 251% ER and 61cr and 170 cd. My alhaitham is 88cr 182cd 129.7% ER. So far only lvl70/70 but he's so fun. I'm taking him to 90/90 and eventually 10/10/10.
I use him with Yae Venti and Zhongli… surprisingly enough his infusion is just enough duration for yae turrets to expire.. so when his infusion ends the turrets also disappear. I usually start with Zhongli shield Yae turrets 3x Venti swirl electro and CC alhaitham burst Zhongli shield again Yae turrets 3x Venti swirl and CC if available Alhaitham E and CA Repeat
I plan to run him in a hyperbloom team I already had built with nahida, kuki, and either xinqgui when I’m not using national or yelan if I am. And kuki c2 came home tonight so she’s now even better for my hyperbloom teams. 🎉
I have a question: What about Sacrificial Sword? Since his projection attacks are skill damage, you have a high chance of triggering the effect (even at low refinements). Secondly, since you can reuse his skill during his on-field time, it would be easier to maintain his dendro application while also triggering his higher level projection attacks more often (instead of the less strong ones). The ER is obviously just a bonus, but it means, you probably don't even need to invest into ER at all which can help. Therefore, how good would it be? I guess the main problem could be that you can only trigger the effect every second rotation (not sure if refinements would be enough), but it seems like a good option for you to make sure that the highest level projection attacks hit during your on-field time while single-handedly providing you with all the ER you need.
I think the reason you don't use sac sword on him is because it severely limits everything else compared to if you had an EM sword, or a crit rate/dmg sword. Having the cooldown thing is very nice, but it gives a lot of ER which you honestly don't need a ton on al haitham and if you can manage his skills well the long cooldown isn't difficult so it is good if you just sorta don't wanna deal with it but it would make him lack quite severely in nearly every other state since now all of his stats are coming solely from artifacts (the important ones). It's sorta like hjow if I didn't get his signature weapon my crit dmg literarlly goes from 210 or so to like 122. Weapons heavily effect your character, especially something like sac sword that has high ER and a nice ability, but ultimately a really low base attack stat and it doesn't provide one of his core requirements such as EM and crit dmg/rate. I just think it would be good if you had amazing artifacts, but would severely lack in damage if you didn't have perfect artifacts.
I prefer fischl for alhaitham and yae for tighnari because tighnari’s quick swap playstyle makes yae’s extra field time flow better and alhaitham’s normal attacks activate fischl’s c6 extra projectiles.
Was waiting for him to say Dori during team composition cause she's good (base on my experience). Can heal, help with burst regen, and proc reaction good.
Genuine question: I'm confident AL Haitham can out DPS Tighnari at comparable investments, but who would you personally recommend as the Dendro slot for Spread/Aggravate teams? I dunno, I feel like Al Haitham is a bit selfish with field time, and the CDs do not help that at all.
Does he? Pretty sure team to team. Spread Tighnari is higher than Haitham spread. Saw Jstern having Tigh at 58k and Haitham at 54k at best. If you mean Hyperbloom version that's mainly true at KQM investment standard. Past that and it scales poorly in comparison to Spread and other reaction. And in Spread Tigh is higher but ST locked. So they're equivalent until C6 where Tigh is a monster frontload.
@@dendenmushi9714 (Gonna try that again because phone is drunk.) The reason I say Al Haitham outdamages Tighnari is mostly because of the quantity of attacks and field time. Haitham hits more often per input, so if you compare their DPS windows Haitham beats Tighnari by about 13%. Tighnari just happens to get a lot done in a 5s window while Haitham needs up to 15s for his window.
Then there's me who uses him with 2 other on field dps on the team 😂 They are all my faves an no one is leaving my team. It takes longer to fight enemies but it's fun for me regardless 🤷🏻♀️
Ngl he’s not that hard to play. Definitely takes a bit of getting used to but he’s not actually difficult. Once you have it down, it’s easy to keep doing it. And messing up every now and then doesn’t completely ruin his efficience because of how his mirror attack mechanic counts down. It’s just mirror management. And even at 1-2 mirrors he can still do great damage, just not quite as much.
I have nahida as well but I want them on separate teams cuz I like nahida with my cyno. Ill make sure that Yao Yao has a lot of er and maybe use Raiden and another electro or xingqui and hopefully that will be enough, plus yaoyao doesn't need to burst until I need rapid healing. I know nahida is better but I don't want to always have them on the same team, but for overworld rn I have them both since he does damage with his skill and that's what I want for my overworld team and obviously nahida is not leaving my over world team lol
Al haithams energy recharge needs can be met with a certain weapon that gives energy recharge and it multiplies depending on how much elemental mastery he has, that is the swords passive, not only that but I think it gives like 30% energy recharge to the party as well
I went with a quicken team because I don't like hyperbloom personally and he quite literally shreds everything it's a little ridiculous lmao. I use Haitham, Zhongli, Yae, Nahida.
Thanks for the in depth detail on his kit, awesome content as usual! On the Yaoyao, XQ, Raiden, Alheitham team, what are the recommended artifacts for Yaoyao, Raiden and Alheitham?
Yaoyao: 4pc Deepwood OR 4pc Tenacity OR any 2pcs (preferably energy, healing bonus or hp) Raiden Shogun: 4pc emblem will allow her to do really good damage and should be able to regen all your team's energy pretty well Al Haitham: 4pc gilded dreams (if YaoYao has 4pc Deepwood) OR 4pc deepwood (only if YaoYao doesn't have 4pc Deepwood) OR any 2pcs (preferably EM, energy or dendro damage bonus) Hope this helped ^^
Crazy Idea, Physical DPS Zhong Li with HP stats, DPS Dendro Gilded Al Haitham, Vener EM Kazuha, Forest HP build Koki. Thats my team, doing between 15-30 k.
really glad i watched this cause i was floundering w artifacts for him and constantly rolling def and flat hp for the first time ever 😭 (dps layla- 😂 layla enjoyers rise up)
I happened to win 2 50/50s in a roll which never happened before and O gotta say.. I'm very happy I got that 1st constellation cause it's honestly very useful.
I don’t have him yet but I am garunteed to get him. I’m 40 pity with welkin active so I’ll get him near the end of the banner. So I have a while to pre farm.
"I don't need to fight, I only need to think" and isn't it right? ;) I was running him with Nahida but since my characters aren't well-build yet, I switched Nahida to Baizhou for healing. For electro I have Fischl and Beidou with as much energy as I could give her for what sweet ult. Overall, I like running that team but I wished I had Kuki. Thank you for this video; I found your explanation of stats on artifacts the most valuable :)
Yeah Yae/Kuki/Nahida has been my best team. I have tried Yao + Raiden and hyperbloom, but they feel significantly weaker. Zhongli does pretty well over Kuki, trading some extra damage for resonance. Horribly regret pulling c1, even though I got it in 30 pulls. I don’t feel it does enough to warrant losing 30 pulls. Also, people keep saying he is hard to master, he really isn’t.. it’s a basic rhythm, made completely easy if you do play Zhongli for “no interrupt”.
Trying out Alhaitham, XQ, Dendro MC with Fav, and Kuki. Considering my Alhaitham is only lvl 50 atm, he’s dealing decent damage with those teammates. For Kuki in this team, what’s your preference? ToM? Or Gilded?

And learning his kit since day 1 beta leak helps a lot adapting to his stack & cd management. Play him after clearing his strou quest, this is so true. We play him like how he think. We got genuine feeling to play hia character.
@@teeman7137 his scaling is now balanced compared from the beta testing where he had insane scaling but, honestly, it doesn't matter if he doesn't have high scaling 'cause dendro is just leagues stronger than the rest of the elements.
I like that they made him quite difficult to play well; idk why but it feels more satisfying when you get his combos and rotations right
I felt that. It’s so satisfying once you finally figure out how to play them properly and see it all come together in really good damage
his playstyle is same as childes but ppl hate childe for that xD. now, they love to play alhaitham. double standard
Practice makes perfect
@@vht1alhaitham is just designed better. Not double standard
bros happy they made him mid
reminds me of childe when he first came out. everyone said he sucked cause they didn't know how to play him properly. but then everyone realised that if they jus managed him correctly he would be very rewarding, but very punishing if not.
@@artaleasham4105 nothing in the Overworld survives past 3 seconds anyway, don’t have to worry about that lol
Well i think he is easy to play XD
His Gameplay is literally "Think before you act"
and i love it😂
Also , if you want Crowd Control on AlHaitham team then you can run Kazuha with Favonius sword and 4pc Deepwood memories.
OMG I WAS LOOKING FOR A CROWD CONTROL MENTION
As someone who’s caveman and don’t do proper rotations I still pulled for him and got him cause I want to.
Same 🤣 I pull because i like him
Same pulled because he is a husbando
Understandable
Oh yeah like you need brains with that comp 🤣😂
@@darien4969 ....People with your mindset are also the ones whining about how 'clucky' or bad he is at uptime. It's hilarious
Sadly I need Nahida or kokui bad I'm running Raiden yae miko and Kokomi. Even so it's super fun.
alhaitham's playstyle feels pretty in tune with his personality tbh. he's literally spiting in your face if your are incompetent. i can just imagine him judging my sorry ass for not using him perfectly... and this thought gives me life🤣🤣🤣🤣
Accurate 😆
I can't imagine too many people pulled for it, but Xiphos Moonlight (the EM sword from a couple banners ago) is actually a really good option for him. Passive gives energy recharge per point of EM. You gain smoother rotations in exchange for a dmg passive.
Too bad its nothis hest 4 star, but the Umbrella
It's actually better to give that sword to kuki shinobu or traveler, and run him with iron Sting or the umbrella
With Kuki's E as long as she's at least c2 you can keep up with HOD's passive.
thanks for this guide it was helpful and you made alhaitham kit easy to understand
also 6:02 was so smooth I actually subscribed when you gave me the second lol
I just got my best pull sesion thanks to this dude and my cat! I got him and a kequing to guarantee a another 5 star in around 47 pulls it felt increidible to have a double in a 10 pull, the funny thing is that it was when my cat pressed the confirm button with her nose. Then only for laughs I tried 1 pull in the weapon banner with her doing the same and I got the light of foliar!
This year has started great, I hope it continues to get better.
i'm too scared pulling on weapon banner 😣 maybe i should get my cat to pull as well...
GIVE ME THE CAT,RIGHT NOW!!!
w cat
What a lame fake funny story mate.... good job ☺️
@@Ramyun1 he has lots of other options that are fine better to go for aqua or homa
If there’s any character that would reward a high degree of skill / punish “plug & play”, it’d be Dendro Daddy Alhaitham 😂 Kudos to them for linking his play style to his characterization!
But people hate the childe for that 🙂, now appreciating Al-haitam?? Well it's nice that people are understanding it now😌
Bruh he is trash
@@mr.dexter6240 I mean, Childe has been meta for a long time now. People who still hate Childe for his cooldown just have a skill issue
I see u never experienced pick up that leaf in abyss, not the best choice to run that:)
Sapwood blade is just a worse version of Xiphos tbh
I was waiting for him but was hesitant because he looks hard to play.
But I still pulled him anyway and won the 50/50. Pulled another 30 pulls, just to get Yao Yao, but I got another Alhaitham instead! Now I don't really have to struggle with the cooldown too.The luckiest I've been to this date. And my first 5 star C1 (non-standard).
please bless me with your luck.
Congratulations 💙
Please bless me with your luck too 🥺🙏
And Congratulations 🎉
I got him with 2 pity unexpectedly and i got his signature weapon as well
I like how he has a high skill floor and higher skill ceiling. But I recently got a C1 Tiggy between Nahida and Scara banners so now I've been using Tiggy and he's INSANE.
I would love someone to do a Tighnari vs Alhaitham pros and cons list
I can give you a quick pro's and cons :
Tighnari:
-Easier to play if you like that
-functions more like a sub-dps pre C6, and after he's like Ganyu.
-High single target damage
-use if you like a lot of hits and smaller numbers
Alhaitham:
-Is a bit complexer to maximize damage potential if you like that
-Can be played as main dps, but subdps is a niche
- high multi target damage.
-use if you like a lot of hits and smaller numbers
@@artaleasham4105 The thing is, Alhaitham's single target is just as good as his AOE because his dendro rain swords hit one target multiple times. Basically, Alhaitham is good at everything Tighnari is good at if not better. (except for being ranged of course.)
Tighnari is really good for spread but he's bad at bloom and its sub-reactions like hyperbloom and burgeon because of his short field time while Alhaitham is good at every single dendro reaction teams because he's a dendro driver, in other words, he applies dendro consistently, you can literally achieve 100% uptime with Alhaitham if you start his combos with his burst.
Don't sugarcoat it man. Yae and Kuki were absolute trash tier pre-sumeru and you know it :)
I find it funny he needs a second dendro character with him, I got Nahida for him but whenever Kaveh is released Im putting them together 100%
Yesssssss brax with the fax 💯 love this character 👏 great job hoyoverse and great vid brax I need to learn as I kept spamming charge atks
I totally love his gameplay. Seeing the 3 mirror projection attack was very satisfying.
I love how you have to play smart to do well as Haitham. Really fits his character.
Awesome guide! My favorite part may be the FF XIV music playing in the background. 🤩
The editing of this video is great. I guess it also helped that Alhaitham got a bunch of sick footage of his animations!
He posted right on time,i just got him 5 minutes ago
Yeah I like his playstyle but imo his easier to master than childe
@@artaleasham4105 good thinking. Sacrificial on him is about ease of play rather than ultimate DPS.
Burst->1 Rep->CA->1 Rep->Skill->1 Rep->Swap
Takes up around 15s of field time and only utilizes triple mirrors for max dps
(1 Rep=4NA->dash->4NA)
You CAN loop for way longer (Burst->1 Rep->CA->1 Rep->Skill->2 Reps->CA->2 Reps->Skill->1 Rep->CA->2 Reps) if you only care about the infusion being up, but are then obviously losing quite a bit of damage not only because you are only using 1-2 mirrors, but also losing damage from your supports' and subdps skills not being utilized, so this isn't OPTIMAL
However, remember the game is played FOR FUN, so don't get turned off just because you CAN all of this stuff with this character ^^
Final note: due to how self-sufficient he is, he is great for any of you coop enthusiasts
Thanks for reading, have fun and good luck in your pulls, Traveler!
I love Al Haitham won my 50/50 and now I will try for his weapon thank you for the guide !
Same, got him in 20 pulls on a 5050 right after getting ayato last banner
Best and clearest alhaitham tutorial I’ve ever seen. Good job
this guide made me envision his kit more clearly :) and now i do think his kit isnt so complicated, as i just stopped and think for a minute and now i know what to do with him xD
Pulled hoping to get YaoYao today and got him on 10 pity. Guess, it's a sign for me to stop ignoring dendro
I recommend you build a hyperbloom team feat 1000 EM Kuki and Xingqui
That extra second that you gave me to subscribe helped m,e reach the subscribe button in time to continue watching. Phew!
*Pull off 6 consecutive instances of rain blades with him. You don’t need to count seconds. Just look for visual clues. Here’s how to maintain 3 mirrors:*
my recommendation: this is the setup i use for my alhaitham, take it with a grain of salt bc there are probably better team comps out there, but this is based solely off of my preference. run alhaitham with LOFI (iron sting if you dont have lofi) and 4 piece gilded dreams set (run EM for sands, crit rate for circlet, and dendro dmg bonus for goblet.), yae miko and kaguras verity (widsth if you dont have kagura) for aggravate sub dps, kazuha w/ freedom sworn (iron sting if you dont have freedom sworn) for electro swirl/extra aggravate dmg and elemental dmg bonus, and kirara with sapwood blade and the 4 pc deepwood set (try to roll all pieces for hp so you can take advantage of her shielding), C4 kirara can proc dendro off field as long as her shield is up so you can also utilize the sapwood blade passive
this is the team comp i use and it hasnt failed me yet but if any of you have tweaks for this comp do feel free to let me know
Brooo he's so fun to play. I want himmm, but I'm aiming for yelan 😩
tbh bro I love his NA animations so much he made me love one handed sword characters again
Everyone completely forgot about electro MC, but he brings electro ult+energy regen a lot so no need for double dendro. Same with mommy Radein.
So glad you actually mentioned it. I was planning to play him with Xingqui, Ei and Yaoyao. Still have to farm those artifacts tho. Lol
This is what I'm gonna do (if I get him) -
Al Haitham, Keqing, Nahida and Jean.
The problem with that is you trade EM for ER. Keqing has a low burst cost but alhaitham needs a bit to consistently burst.
@astyutechick7980
Would you go with an emblem of severed fate set then, preferably one with good EM and crit stats? Make up for needing higher ER with the emblem set bonus, plus you probably have those emblem sets already.
I already have a great elemental mastery Emblem sands with double crit that I haven't been able to use for anyone
You can also use electro traveller as his buffs regenerates energy for the on field character
Super helpful vid also great bg music choice.
Been testing out different sets and weapons on him, and just wanted to add that ATK/EM/Crit is also great, especially if you're using 2PC Deepwood or a weapon like Mistsplitter or Jade Cutter.
I know having a good EM sands is hard to get, and many newer characters are hungry for one, so at least for Alhaitham, this is a good alternative with minimal damage reduction from the classic EM/Dendro/Crit
got his weapon first at 63 pity, then got him on a 50/50 at 19 pity... there goes my luck for the next 5 years :')
For me I prefer Alhaitham, Nahida, Beidou, Kuki Shinobu. Beidou can provide shield and off field damage for Alhaitham, and also reduce damage. Kuki Shinobu is healer and also provide energy for Beidou, it's best to use the Moonlight sword so can provide energy for whole team while she will have high EM too
I've decided to run Alhaitham, Raiden, Xingqui and Nahida. Though I am having troubles with healing Dx
Dendro daddy is so complicated. But I love him and I feel like once I able to finish building him he'll be a solid addition to my team
I was 6 minutes in before I realised I was hearing the Amaurot theme from FFXIV. Subtle!
Its a great team but I think Xingqui is overall better for his lack of poise
Great Nahida showcase dude =D
I pulled Yae on her re-run and so far I haven't been using her, so I'm looking toward a spread team in part to give myself an excuse to use her.
that sneaking nier automata remix is such a chefs kiss
I use him with Yae Venti and Zhongli… surprisingly enough his infusion is just enough duration for yae turrets to expire.. so when his infusion ends the turrets also disappear.
I usually start with Zhongli shield
Yae turrets 3x
Venti swirl electro and CC
alhaitham burst
Zhongli shield again
Yae turrets 3x
Venti swirl and CC if available
Alhaitham E and CA
Repeat
That remixed nier music was fire during the how to play section.
I'll probably be running Alhaitham with Xingqui,Raiden and MC Dendro.
I plan to run him in a hyperbloom team I already had built with nahida, kuki, and either xinqgui when I’m not using national or yelan if I am.
And kuki c2 came home tonight so she’s now even better for my hyperbloom teams. 🎉
I still find it baffling people keep calling alhaitham "not easy-to-use" 😂 is pressing more than 3 buttons per character really that hard??
Hope we get a video on yaoyao soon Im excited to optimize her!!
Now that furina is out I like using her for Hydro since she gives so much Hydro application
Dori is surprisingly good at alhaitham's hyperbloom
As a note with yaoyao energy requirements are similar to those with nahida
i got him on the first pull of his banner lol and I'm using him with raiden, yae, and kokomi which has been fun
Tighnari is definately easier to play and takes up way less time onfield, I love the guy
@@therealcrow6933 I know, I use him as my primary in my Rainfurrest comp. 6s max for an E Q 3C rotation, then it's back to Yae for Q 3E.
@@dendenmushi9714 (Gonna try that again because phone is drunk.)
The reason I say Al Haitham outdamages Tighnari is mostly because of the quantity of attacks and field time. Haitham hits more often per input, so if you compare their DPS windows Haitham beats Tighnari by about 13%.
Tighnari just happens to get a lot done in a 5s window while Haitham needs up to 15s for his window.
And how about you just use both lol
I would argue that Collei is actually a very strong support for alhaitham if you have elegy
i would love to play these spread teams, but my god I WISH i had a kuki shinobu,,, the man's just never dropped!1
Al haithams energy recharge needs can be met with a certain weapon that gives energy recharge and it multiplies depending on how much elemental mastery he has, that is the swords passive, not only that but I think it gives like 30% energy recharge to the party as well
Yes, Xiphos Moonlight iirc
Ive been using Althaitham with Nahida, Kokomi and Yae. Fighting has never been so quick. Alhaitham and the catalyst girls. love it
I went with a quicken team because I don't like hyperbloom personally and he quite literally shreds everything it's a little ridiculous lmao. I use Haitham, Zhongli, Yae, Nahida.
Please tell me a replacement for nahida..
The struggle of choosing to pull with my guarantee or waiting for yelan for my nahida
Thanks for the in depth detail on his kit, awesome content as usual! On the Yaoyao, XQ, Raiden, Alheitham team, what are the recommended artifacts for Yaoyao, Raiden and Alheitham?
Yaoyao: 4pc Deepwood OR 4pc Tenacity OR any 2pcs (preferably energy, healing bonus or hp)
Raiden Shogun: 4pc emblem will allow her to do really good damage and should be able to regen all your team's energy pretty well
Al Haitham: 4pc gilded dreams (if YaoYao has 4pc Deepwood) OR 4pc deepwood (only if YaoYao doesn't have 4pc Deepwood) OR any 2pcs (preferably EM, energy or dendro damage bonus)
Hope this helped ^^
High quality video
Crazy Idea, Physical DPS Zhong Li with HP stats, DPS Dendro Gilded Al Haitham, Vener EM Kazuha, Forest HP build Koki. Thats my team, doing between 15-30 k.
Alhaitham is the one character you don't actually need refinements on the black sword for
I am loving the soundtrack buddy
really glad i watched this cause i was floundering w artifacts for him and constantly rolling def and flat hp for the first time ever 😭
(dps layla- 😂 layla enjoyers rise up)
I happened to win 2 50/50s in a roll which never happened before and O gotta say.. I'm very happy I got that 1st constellation cause it's honestly very useful.
All I really wanted was to get Yao Yao and I suddenly got him on 28 pulls, so I’m here. Not complaint though!!
Thank you for this video; I found your explanation of stats on artifacts the most valuable :)
as a player who likes elem skills chars i.e yoimiya ayato, alhaitham is a jackpot
12:33 no worries braxx I always use her at nightƐ>
Props to the Nier automata music in the background 👍
Yeah Yae/Kuki/Nahida has been my best team. I have tried Yao + Raiden and hyperbloom, but they feel significantly weaker. Zhongli does pretty well over Kuki, trading some extra damage for resonance. Horribly regret pulling c1, even though I got it in 30 pulls. I don’t feel it does enough to warrant losing 30 pulls. Also, people keep saying he is hard to master, he really isn’t.. it’s a basic rhythm, made completely easy if you do play Zhongli for “no interrupt”.

"...and also she's just very pretty and you should use her."
no wiser words have been said.
Trying out Alhaitham, XQ, Dendro MC with Fav, and Kuki. Considering my Alhaitham is only lvl 50 atm, he’s dealing decent damage with those teammates.
For Kuki in this team, what’s your preference? ToM? Or Gilded?
Well I was thinking of
Alhaitham, Raiden, Kuki, and collei
Is that a good team
