    oh snap I didn't know 部 was the correct measure word for 电影, as opposed to 个! the more u know! also, nice video. This way of creating structures with interchangeable words makes the language much easier to understand, and it's always good to know synonyms for common expressions

      Btw, you’re answer to #3 is how you would say “the movie he was/is talking about is awesome. But it would be said this way 他说的电影很棒. Or any adverb/adjective combo you choose. Just a note, you only need to use 部 (or classifiers) when you use 这, 那, or a number before it. Such as 4 movies 四部电影. 😉
      And your answer for #4 is a perfect way to say “the moves/tricks you do are awesome “
      Again, good job. 你回答的真棒👍🏻

    你做的东西真酷
    very useful words, thanks!

    • @learnpromandarin
      @learnpromandarin  7 місяців тому

      第一道题可能我声音不太清楚,但我想说的就是 “the move he was talking about is really awesome.” 反正move 或者movie 都可以。 但是,在这个情况不用加一个量词。 比如说,你不用说 “部” 电影。直接说电影就可以了。这是因为没说“这”,“那” 或者一个数字在前面。 所以应该说 “他说的电影太好看了。” 或者如果是“动作”,可以说“他说的动作太棒了。”之类的。
      Just to make sure, whenever the word “the “ in English is used, the Chinese equivalent won’t have a classifier (or measuring) word before it. But if we say “this”, “that”, “a” or any number before the noun then we add the classifier before the noun.
      第二道题呢,因为“东西”是有形的,“你做的东西真酷”大概是 “The stuff you make is really cool”的意思。但如果要“the things you do are really cool”. 那就应该说“你做的事情真酷”。为什么呢?就是因为“事情”或者“事”是无形的。 所以为了确定你明白, tangible things or stuff is 东西, intangible things or stuff is 事情。
      如果你不确定该说哪一个,你也可以说“你所做的真酷”。这就是“everything you do is cool” 或者”everything you make is cool”. The reasoning is because you don’t need to specify anything that you are talking about after the 的. The “thing” is implied, and the “all that you do or make “ is stated before the 的. I’ll go over that in more detail in future lessons. But the main thing is this. When both people know what the subject or object of the sentence is, all the description comes before the 的 and then noun after 的 can (and usually is) dropped. You’ll get used to it and it is actually a cool way of cutting your sentences short. Chinese are masters in the art of efficiency 😉
      I really hope that helped. I know it was kind of long. But if anything is unclear or you have any questions, feel free to ask.
      I think it’s amazing to see you go through all the lessons like that. I believe it’ll truly help cut down the time to acquire Mandarin. Or at least the trial and error time of figuring out the grammar for yourself. 你真的太棒了。很佩服你! 😊🙏❤️

      @@danielarodriguezminsky9643 I was living in 沈阳。But I haven't lived there for a long time. I go back to visit occasionally, but only for about a month or two at a time. It is in 辽宁省 in 东北。 I was a lot of fun. Maybe next year I'll head back.
      The thing that's helping me with my Chinese over the last year is that I've been attending a Mandarin speaking branch at my church. They have me do the interpreting for English to Mandarin or vice versa, as well as teach hour long lessons in Mandarin. Also my in-laws have been living with us for the past year and they don't speak a lick of English. So, that's what is helping me with my Chinese right now.
      Before, when I first started learning, it was having a Mandarin speaking partner that wasn't Chinese (it would've been okay if it was a Chinese person too) that only spoke with me in Chinese. That helped out a lot. No judgements, no corrections, just practice. I'd learn from him, he'd learn from me. And, of course, we both spoke to Chinese people on a daily basis at that time. After about 6 months of that, I was fluent on a lower intermediate level. We spoke all day to each other in Mandarin as well.

    请问,我有一个问题了我的中国好友很多在句子里用"好好",那我们为啥不能用这个??

    • @learnpromandarin
      @learnpromandarin  7 місяців тому +1

      很好的问题。
      因为有的时候”好“是个副词,有的时候是个形容词。如果重复一遍说好,换句话说 “好好”, 那就是一个副词而已。广东话还是两个词,一个副词然后一个形容词,就像 “很好”的意思。但是普通话,如果连续说“好”两遍,那就是个副词 (就是一个词而已)。
      打个比方说,“你要跟他好好说话” 或者 “你要好好吃饭” more like doing it well. 虽然,"你要跟他好好说话"是You need to talk to him的意思,但是也可以翻译成You need to talk to him "properly" 之类的。还有呢,你要好好吃饭,这个可以翻译成You need to eat well. 但是有的时候也是有点“现在吃饭!不要捣乱!”的意思。 In other words, eat your food and stop messing around (kinda like that)特别是家长跟小孩儿说这句话的时候。
      所以呢,如果要说形容词的好,要先说另外一个副词。在这个视频的情况下不能说“好好”。希望我解释的有帮助。
      还有呢,你的两个答案都是对的。你太棒了!😁 第二个答案应该要说“你做的事”The things you do.但是“你做的动作” the moves that you do也可以。也有道理。加油!👍👍👍

    • @learnpromandarin
      @learnpromandarin  7 місяців тому

      第一是对的。第二少了一个 “个”。 比如, 那个动作非常吓人。 为什么呢?是因为如果你说“这”,“那”或者任何数字,然后说一个名词,你需要加个量词在“这”,“那” 或者数字后边。 比如说, 这“部”电影,那“本”书,三“道”菜,五“个”房间,等等。
      这句话的名词是“动作”,所以这样要说 “那个” 在前面。
      希望我写的有帮助。你真的太好了。 加油!
