You're spot on with your review. The LRST fairing cuts right through the wind. I also have a StreetGlide and it puts that bike to shame! Well done sir.
I went with the lucky Daves seat it has gel as standard ,, everyone says saddlemens is a beautiful brick. most replace them at a very high cost I ride long distance
For decades now I have stated that modern traffic is faster than ever and increasing in speed, a crappy subcompact can maintain speeds that 60's muscle cars would shake themselves apart is a dramatic fashion and the modern motorcycle commuter has to compete in that sheetmetal stampede or resign themselves to being weekend recreation with special permits and escort vehicles and safety vest...im thrilled that the Factory is building vehicles that can pull their weight, hold their water,... rock the casbah!
Glad your liking the ST man, I love mine after I had to tweak it. For me at 6' with the SDC pro seat the stock windshield was horrendous. Almost horrendous as the SDC pro seat which puts you high and forward and was god awful uncomfortable. Went with the whiplash gambler seat and the klockwerks recurve and it made a world of difference.
Cool thanks for the response. Have an 02 t sport, and an 88 FXRS I’m thinking of putting a faring on. But get curious if I should just get a RG or an ST for the more modern power, reliability, and wind protection for longer rides.
I have a 22' FXLRS. Got it right before they announced the ST. Woof. There's no way HD won't release a kit for the FXLRS if not a 3rd party mount. For my build, I'm going wait on a fairing until this is a possibility.
Up to u boys.. u can fall for the modern day acrutriments.. or ride the soulful bikes of the 90s, an era when u didn't need a computer to keep a bike running. As for myself if all I cared about was smooth (sewing machine) performance then harley wouldn't be my choice, especially at their prices.
Personally, I like both platforms for different reasons and would never get rid of my Dynas - But if we're talking straight performance out the box, it's going to the ST
@@FXDLSBrooklyn nobody is gonna debate the fact that the newer bikes "perform" better... but is that all were after? And at what cost? Don't deny how harley basically computerized the new stuff. @@dynaordie8083 Harley has been using electronics in their motors for years, what are you on about? I trust EFI from 2022 way more than 2002, or 1992 😂
Harley doesn't want its consumers to know that they are going to the Japanese sport racing teams and seeing how to translate the performance engineering into a classic American motorcycle.
I think I’m just about sold. I balked this model year but now I’m thinking, I’m gonna order one at launch for next year. I planned on putting on a fxrt fairing on my bike over the winter but after all your content, I’m really starting to think, the low rider st is the move.
Yeah man I stand by my reviews here, it's a hell of a bike out the box - Best thing to do at the end of the day is set up a test ride to see for yourself
Wind? what wind? Coming from an R1, my FXLRS w/bikini fairing still seems like nothing in terms of wind. It all depends on where you've been and where you are. R1 fairings are nothing so I have nothing to compare it with so I feel pretty good with the LRS....no additional fairing. Doesn't bother me.
@@FXDLSBrooklyn I do. It's an '06 so the only thing that bothers me about it is that its is so old. Fast still but all old parts. The '23 LRS is it's younger companion in the garage. They get along alright...all cozy in the warm garage just waiting for the end of winter. Love 'em both.
Man...tbh I'm worn out of all the ST videos. I'm just one subscriber but videos of you ripping in the city on the DX or FXR are much better... just my opinion. You could talk about absolutely anything you want and I'd watch that over ST videos. Hopefully the ST fanboys don't kill me 🤣🤣🤣
The Dyna content will always be center on this channel - I appreciate you still checking it out even if you don't like the ST - Check out tomorrow's video, I think you'll enjoy it

That's good to know - Are you going to keep the glide?

Put about 40k miles on one of their seats - They're great

Dude I need to see your bike in person, when can we get a ride in?
@@FXDLSBrooklyn soon, I will hit you up.
Do you think this or the FXRT fairing deflects more wind on the highway?
I think probably the FXRT, but not by much

Which seat is that man? It looks like it’s the Saddleman Step Up Tour. If so how comfortable is it for you and very important, for the passenger?
Extremely comfortable for both - I did a video for it not too long ago, go check it out - We compare it to the SDC custom
