I don't listen to country - (or anything past 1995) - that's when talent wasn't needed anymore. Thankfully Chris brought talent back in 2015 when he released this. I only heard it because of reaction videos and I'm glad people are picking this song - Chris is trying to bring it back with his music and talent. I like you - went to clubs for the music. Sorry to learn about mom - I lost mine in 96 from cancer. Stay strong and live & love all that you can ♥️
If you didnt already know it was Miss Morgan his wife who said he needed to go do some singing himself. He was writing all this great music and she decided the world needed to hear his voice too! Glad you enjoyed! Delightful!
I was lucky enough to be raised on a mixture of music from classical to bluegrass with a healthy dose of rock in the 70s...nice to see another true music lover!!
It's June of 2021 and I just heard your reaction to Chris Stapleton's cover of Tennessee Whiskey. So glad you liked it and it obviously speaks to you. Really, really appreciate your honesty. Thanks for your introduction at the top of the comments list and your thought-provoking words at the end of the video. You are very good at doing a reaction video. It seems, from what you said, that this is a platform that has evolved. It may not be exactly where you want to land in your life, but it may get you there. I'm a 65 year old woman, and I can tell you that every single job I had in my career, helped me land into the position I wanted. Keep your goals in front of you and watch those stepping stones that can get you to where you want to be. For me, it didn't happen overnight. Be patient, and it will come your way. Chris Stapleton's journey has led him down many roads, too. Now, he is writing his own hit songs, is married to the beautiful Morgane (who happens to be singing harmony on this song), and they have 5 children!!! Morgane gave Chris the confidence and courage to go out on the stage and sing. You can see the love, when they sing this song. I guess the bottom line is to keep on keeping on, until you get to that place that you are passionate about. We've been living through a global pandemic, and finally things are beginning to look up. If we haven't learned anything else, I hope we can begin to unite and overcome the divisiveness in this country. And, what better way than through great music, right? As a side note, your audio was great. Only stating this because you said it had been an issue in the past. You have resolved whatever problems existed. We all need some positive feedback. I hope the people that had an issue before, gave you some constructive criticism, and not just some BS that only haters like to do. Enough of that. It's clear that you are the kind of person, who wouldn't take issue, or object, to a way to make your channel better. I try to give each reactor some kind of feedback, because you folks are the ones bringing the music to us. Lastly, I am sorry for the loss of your Mom to alcoholism. It's a very, very hard addiction (disease) to overcome. There are many who do through AA, and other such programs. God bless anyone who has conquered ANY addiction, or anyone, who is struggling with any addictive disease. Again, great reaction. You got a like, subscribe, and comment from this old lady, who happens to live just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. The whiskey Chris is referring to is probably Jack Daniels, as it is made in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Peace, love and kindness to you. 🙂
I truly appreciate your thoughtful, heartfelt, and articulate commentaries. Like Chris Stapleton you're not just "mailin' it in". Its honest. And it shows. Thank you for that. As you talk about listening to different styles of music I think of one of my favorite adages that goes "the only difference between a groove and grave are the dimensions". Learning and expanding one's horizons and experiences is a lifelong quest. The joys are in the detours. Stay the course, sir. We'll be here to hear your thoughts. Take care.
I will say this, I just don't think he really realizes just how very very deep that same alcoholic that he said took his mamma, I don't think he really knows how very deep the drug of alcohol does cut!!! It almost cost me my life as well if not for the God sent program of AA!!! My sobriety date is 9-24-08
@@stonecoldcowboy1817 Thanks for sharing your story. Congrats on the long term sobriety. Its not easy. I grew up as an ACA and know what it did to my family. More power to you for taking those demons head on and persevering. Blessings to you.
Your raw honesty is so refreshing. Music was, is, and shall always be a way to escape the brutality of reality and find comfort. Thank you for sharing a bit of your soul with each reaction. Much respect, my dear.
Your audience will come! Keep doing what you do & it will happen! SO glad you found SRV, as he without a doubt, changed my life! Stapelton is truly a master of his craft as well! Glad you find the things that play your soul strings because people like these 2 guys are very few & far between! They are unicorns in a world of horses. Love your videos & much love!
Felt the need to comment again. I am a much older white woman and with the speech that you just gave that's why I'm subscribed 2 your Channel. I feel the same way you do. Keep doing what you're doing.
I loved your commentary at the end. Appreciate your insights. Now, I hope you react to Chris doing James Brown's Mans World. Chris pays tribute to all his heroes and I think James would have approved of his performance. Fun Fact. He was called up on stage by Another band and this is what he did. It was amazing.
Amen! To your comment. And I am a guy who grew up in the golden era of hip hop in the late 80s early 90s. I think there’s something intrinsically soothing to humans about singing as opposed to the spoken word. Hip Hop was confiscated and repurposed at some point along the road and rerouted to a very destructive place. It lost its soul... All these old songs and current artists that are recapturing that old feeling are tapping into the soul. That’s what music does. We ARE vibration resonating at a certain frequency. And so is music.
CHRIS STAPLETON HAS BEEN NAMED THE COUNTRY MUSIC ARTIST/SONGWRITER OF THE DECADE (2010-2019) BY THE CMA!!!! CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS!!!!!!!! BTW GREAT REACTION & CONDOLENCES ON YOUR MOM'S PASSING. I LOST MINE A LITTLE OVER 41/2 YEARS AGO & MISS HER EVERY DAY!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU MOMMA!!!!!!!
Loved your reaction to this song! I agree with your thoughts at the end of the video. I also think music should be something that unites people and bridges gaps. Thank you.
You are one of the first people on YT I have heard express the exact same feelings I have about what is happening in music..Unfortunately Hip-hop/ Rap etc R & B have leaned toward angry hateful music in recent years, I will also say as you dig deeper you may find that today's country music is also a bit of a mess. Honestly I think Every genre is a mess today. There are as you eloquently stated a "few" artists that are putting out quality music Stapleton is one of them...sadly most of them you have to dig to find as mainstream music is so messed up IMO! anyway I like how you think sir therefore I have subbed. great video
Thank you sir. I have always loved music and as I am right on the edge of turning 80 it means even more to me. Music keeps me sane it is therapy for me also. Why can't we all just love each other for our uniqueness. We are different, but we all bleed red. Don't know how to end this, soooo thanks again for being unique and for your spot on reactions.
I think we’re getting old because I remember sneaking into the pool hall before I was of “legal” age to drink, hearing those same songs, the smoke clouds, trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. The songs take you back though, and I guess we’re still trying to find the answers in our own ways...to this day.I think at heart that every generation has the same ways of gearing up for the future, ours made us a little more appreciative of one another I think though.’76.
Firstly, I just want to say, I'm very sorry to hear of you losing your mother, but know she brought into this world a very thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate man. NOW, Another great reaction. Thank you for your sincere thoughts & feelings as well. When you find some time, check out Mr Stapleton's "whiskey and you" & the video of "fire away" A few other artists I think you'd like is Clark Beckham Jr with Yebba "Gravity" cover of John Mayer & cover of "Creep" by Haley Rhinehart & Postmodern Jukebox.....both are mind blowing talented. Take care & remember, just stay true to yourself, haters can hate all they want but we'll be here for you. 🙂

If anybody is not satisfied with the way the whole content of your reaction video goes don't worry about it man you do a great job I enjoy watching you react as much as I enjoy anybody else you're Tops on the list you're doing a great job you've got great insight and an excellent ear for music you just keep rolling

I love your reaction to Chris Stapleton's Tennessee Whiskey. It is refreshing to hear a heartfelt reaction. He is unbeatable. You need to react to several others of his such as Death Row and Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore
You sir keep doing what your doing... absolutely enjoyed this video.. music was crisp and clear and you when you made your comments you stayed calm and just talked about how you felt.. it was nice to have someone who talked without getting loud... and music has helped me through life with my depression after the things I been through... keep up the good work.. respect to you my good sir...
I love the faces you pull because it shows how you “feel” the music. I feel it like that too. Keep doing you, boo, and ignore the haters. Fans of music understand the LOVE of music.
This is soooo much better than the original version. I absolutely love this song. And his performance is truly amazing. He actually sings better live. Love your sincere reaction. And i allso hope to see an end to all this pointless killing world wide.
I really enjoy listening to you speak. Very good views. Explained with thought. I live in the foothills of NC I love to listen to it all. From Dolly Parton to Snoop Dog to Bach to blue grass to pop to Motown on and on. I have favs. but I love it all.
We are all God’s children. I highly recommend that you listen to an A Cappella group called “Home Free”. Their love for each other shines through in their songs and it’s honest to goodness wholesome music that instills that sense of peace and fun. They do a lot of covers of other artist’s songs and they just came out with their first album of original tunes.
You sir are now one of two channels that I am subscribed to. I appreciate the fact that you have a true love for “music”. The insight given at the end of the video was inspiring. I wish that more people had your perspective and weren’t as close minded. I checked out your reactions and noticed there wasn’t anything by NF. If you haven’t heard or seen his music I believe you enjoy it.
I just found this and brother you are right. I listen to country but I grew up in 70's and 80's in a melting pot of culture as a Military Brat. I loved listening to Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow, Doug E. Fresh and Fab Five Freddy. Great job brother look forward to watching more of your videos.
If I were to edit your description, I would add just one word: philosopher. I appreciate your thoughtful, edifying views on both music and life, with no annoying theatrics.
This is the song that introduced most people to Chris. If you wanna go deeper check out some "Jompson Brothers" They were a rock/blues band and Chris sang lead.
I’m sure others have told you this, but you have an amazing voice. I’m so sorry about your momma. Thank God my dad stopped right before he went down the rabbit hole but he cut it close. I don’t drink. Lesson learned.
Your closing commentary was spot-on. So much so, that I listened to it twice. Stay strong man. Roger As a side note, I keep hoping Chris Stapleton will do a cover of the Johnny Paycheck classic "Old Violin". So long.
It's been said often "Music is the Universal Language" It brings together all Races. You can't deny a good song or performance based on the person's Race, Gender or various other reasons.
You are probably the best reactor on UA-cam. I can tell that you appreciate good music being a musician myself. Unfortunately theirs not alott of good music out there now. I wish you all the best whatever you're trying to build. I will be here to see you through.
So I just subscribed. I paused the video to hit the button when you talked about sitting in the club and listening to everything from Hank Williams Jr to CCR. I support anyone who recognizes that talent is talent, regardless of talent. I don't expect any one to listen to music in their free time that they don't connect to. There are plenty of songs that don't speak to me personally, but that doesn't mean those songs are trash. I don't promise to watch every video you post, but I will watch any that catch my interest. Thank you and good luck!
I really love your reactions and your passion of mental.health and you no music so well. I paid close attention to your comment and believe me I was loss.
Are you A Singer I like you're vibe being someone who played professitionly from 1974- 1984. Once it's in your blood nothing will satisfy you but music. I Would like to hear some of your music. Keep the dream alive and may God bless you like he did me. I'm with you all the way my friend!
I want you to know music saved my life to.Carol king her Tapestry album helped me get through some really hard times.I have had three CDs.The song way over yonder is incredible she takes you to a place where there is no troubles. It is a beautiful place. Please listen to it.
I got a phone call right around the 9:00 mark and had to pause the video. Then with this and that, it was almost 3 hours later when I returned. The last thing I had heard was, "What I'm about to say is going to p*** some people off." You wouldn't believe all the things I imagined during those 3 hours, trying to think what, in Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey," would inspire you to say something controversial. I didn't even remotely conceive of the deep, thoughtful comment at the end. It made me both sad and hopeful at the same time. Thank you.
Hey man you make great videos. Your personal touch is what folks are looking for when they watch these reactions. We are all so disconnected, it seems, but music is the sonic math. We may hear the same thing, but feel something totally different; or hear different sounds but get the same feeling. You may take 2 and add (-2) to get zero where I take 2 and subtract 2. we may not agree (for lack of a better word) on how to get there or how we got here, but the respect for the art and truth is there.
Not one of your reactions have been bad, all top shelf. I look forward to checking out some of your musical content. Thanks for the videos 🤘🇺🇸🤘 100% agree with your opinions
At it's core, music is a unifier but I understand your statement about hip hop...by and large music is a truth, one that regardless of one's background, ethnicity, etc
My heavens.... Yes. You went deep. Down to your soul... and told us how you honestly feel. Thank you for sharing. I'm with you, Brother.

I love how EVERYONE who listens to Chris Stapelton makes that stank face at some point during EVERY song he sings!!
Couldn't help it!
As warm as brandy....always gets that face. Love it
Reactions to Chris Stapleton never get old. Just goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover.

Great HONEST reaction
I got a phone call right around the 9:00 mark and had to pause the video. Then with this and that, it was almost 3 hours later when I returned. The last thing I had heard was, "What I'm about to say is going to p*** some people off." You wouldn't believe all the things I imagined during those 3 hours, trying to think what, in Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey," would inspire you to say something controversial. I didn't even remotely conceive of the deep, thoughtful comment at the end. It made me both sad and hopeful at the same time. Thank you.
No, thank you! It means alot that you watch

You're awesome D...
Hey man you make great videos. Your personal touch is what folks are looking for when they watch these reactions. We are all so disconnected, it seems, but music is the sonic math. We may hear the same thing, but feel something totally different; or hear different sounds but get the same feeling. You may take 2 and add (-2) to get zero where I take 2 and subtract 2. we may not agree (for lack of a better word) on how to get there or how we got here, but the respect for the art and truth is there.
i listen to ya on my laptop with earphones .. xbox and roku thru a 2.1 system and sound good on all of them..

At it's core, music is a unifier but I understand your statement about hip hop...by and large music is a truth, one that regardless of one's background, ethnicity, etc
