I was up there last January. I drive tractor trailer. I dropped in the yard in Portland Oregon. Then grab another load and had to travel through town because it was a major accident that shut the highway down. I eventually made it out to the Columbia River Road. Staying on the Oregon side of the highway. Took that all the way down into Idaho and then eventually into Salt Lake City. I truly do not like the snow the ice or the extreme cold. However I would like to do it on a motorcycle. I look forward to coming back up that way they look beautiful in the winter I can’t wait to see It in the summer.
Man , I appreciate you making these videos on the CB500X. I have a deposit on a 2022 that is supposed to ship to the US 9/1/22. Supposed to be here by the 15th. I am learning everything I can about the bike before I get it. Not a lot of easily understandable videos on the bike on YT. Do you have any advice for me about the bike?
I own a 2021 which put 5000 miles on last summer on a road trip through all the Western U.S. National Parks. A bit of a chore putting down long high speed freeway hours but an otherwise all around excellent bike. My only regret is not holding out for a 2022.
@@michaelcoleman4169 Man, I would love the opportunity to do that. I may have to start out with some closer-by State Parks though. Thank you for that information, maybe you can snag up a 2022, then sell the 2021. It shouldn't be hard to move as few as the USA is getting.
@Michael Coleman I just went to you channel hoping to find some footage of that trip. I bet that would be the start of a great YT channel. I know I would watch it.
Congratulations on getting married. Those cardos can be a pain. I’ve found they (Packtalk Bold) pair up better with the buttons on the unit vice the app… hope you have or had a great trip.
Thanks! We eventually got them paired. Had to watch a UA-cam vid;). We are back, had an absolute blast. Smoking ribs on my new Traeger while editing videos 😊
Nice setup and great video. Just bought one of these backpacks. What model are your panniers though? You do not have them mounted on any racks, do you?
Ha ha. Thanks. I’m actually not impressed with my Cardo set up…. I think it sounded better with the Sena. Anyway, I wire the GoPro mic adapter into the com system. It’s a pain, but allows the GoPro to use the noise canceling software of the com unit. I have 2 videos on this that show how to wire it. Look up my name and “best Moto vlog set up”.
Had an idea...how about wireless Lavalier Microphones instead of the typical motorcycle communications (for 2 people only)? They have headphone jacks for checking the audio which can used for hearing each other. Seems like it might be a winner for Vloggers or couples, friends etc.
I have the Cardo Pack Talk...Usually don't have an issue connecting to my phone. The updates over the last couple of years have made it better. Voice control, but I have not had the opportunity to join with another person. Let me know how it goes. Also, the Amazon links don't actually bring up products. I hope it isn't user error.
You are the second person to mention the links. What country are you in? They work fine for me 🤷♂️ We got the Cardos worked out;). Watched a UA-cam vid🤣
No kidding about the Cards, I hate mine, never pairs right and always drops like yours did. I heard some people use discord via small thin earphones. Definitely an option.
Great to see you and your wife traveling together on your cb500x’s. Love that your doing a road trip on them.
An awesome episode, indeed! Thank you and enjoy the trip/adventure. Best!
Congratulations. Can't wait to check out this tour.
Highway 14 is sooooooooooooo much more fun to ride than I 84 and you get to see Multnomah Falls in all it's glory from afar

I’m out of Vero Beach, Florida
Congratulations to you both. Ride safe, keep 4 wheels down!
Thanks!
Very nice. Most of us have to deal with rain, though.
Congratulations to you and Amy.
Sweet drone pan out at the end 👍🏼
Awesome guy’s!!!!!

Yes;)
Go back and watch all my 500x vids😊. There’s a wealth of knowledge scattered throughout over the past two years.

Great video. Which “cruise control” or throttle hold device do you use for long trips to help reduce hand/arm fatigue?
You should have called Hobz. The man sync a half dozen of them!
Some Cardo like mine refuse to pair through the app, you must use the buttons. - Frank

Good to see you on a trip with your 500Xs. Your audio in all of your videos is always amazing. How did you get the road noise down so low?

Bro, I’m getting motion sickness from the helmet cam 🤢

Crap, if I would have seen this a week ago, I would have brought my rally raid equipped 500x down and bought you guys a beer. I'm in spokane. Oh well.
I live out in powers or if you ever need to make a video man we got miles and miles of the best looking mountain/logging roads
touring mode: activated
Nice trip, thanks. Can you fix the links or specify what model number each gear is? The links just go to amazon...Thank you!
I’ll take a look. I just used the link for the backpack before we left to buy Amy’s. It worked last week🤷♂️
Is all the gear you mentioned waterproof?
No, water resistance. We went through some downpours and it was fine. Now if it’s just sitting in the rain, yeah your stuff is gonna get wet.
Cool video. How many miles you ridden on your bike? Any issues?
Thanks. I’m almost at 30K. Zero issues.
Your Cardo issues are why we went to SENA all the way!
What kinda speed you keep on the highway .
Doing 5-10 over in most places. We cruised for a long time at 80 ish. The speed limits in Montana make me smile😊
@@OregonMotorcycle what kinda rpma you pulling ?
@@kevinsleppek6058 probably around 6,500 or more.
Congrats on your marriage, looks like a cool trip
Thank you. It was amazing
The links for the backpack and air compressor do not work. Please give the name for each.
What country are you in?
@@OregonMotorcycle It used to be the USA lately I'm not really sure anymore
@@scat4me 🤣
Ok I’ll see if I can fix them or get new ones. They are working perfect for me on several different devices.

Cardo or sena?
Cardo.
12 min video and no real coverage of the luggage, just another guy riding and talking....
Oo
Where are the products made? If it’s communist China you can certainly do much better.
