This is really good info. Thanks to you (and the kid) for testing! I’m a bit surprised at the fuel consumption, but those high speed runs really do take a toll.
Lijepi pozdrav.
Very nice and interesting video. Gives a good impression of the capabilites of the CB 500 X. Good idea to show the revs and speed in some situations. When I had problems with my body while riding longer distances I sometimes stood up on the footpegs for some seconds to get a bit of relief or I stretched my left and right leg alternately while lifting it from the footpeg. Not sure whether this may help you, too? (Actually I don't know whether it really helped myself. lol). In general, nowadays I would not like to travel more than 300 or 400 km a day. So your journey really was a forced march. Thanks for sharing your experience.
good review i agree with you about the bike performance and i wonder if the Sheepskin seat cover you have is making any help to your comfort and where did you find it. ride safe friend
Zdravo Kolega, I need your comment on your Givi high windscreen on speed above 100km/h. I know you have videos about that but still one more time need your comment. I am still with stock screen and in dilemma to try with wind deflector or with givi windscreen like you. Keep going, great videos. Thanks
Hello, so the thing is like this I'd say. I don't like personally looking at extension in front of me all the time, that buckle obstructs my view, and frankly speaking that extension is priced similarly like full windshield. So I thought with Givi I'll get a little more wind protection from the top and from the sides as it's a little wider too. Now trick is, Givi windshield will hit handguards on full tilt if you have them on the bike. I have handlebar risers so that sorts out that issue. Is Givi perfect, no, it helps but it won't remove all wind from the rider, it does sort out wind buffeting issue. With extension you'll get similar results like with Givi windshield, if you don't mind looking through it. I hope I've helped let me know if you have any more questions, happy to help. Cheers 👍👍👋
Overall comfort I'd rate as good, seat is hard but overall seating position and space with 2up and luggage I'd say is good. Also I have sheepskin on my seat which helps a lot.
Great video bro!. I am planning visit croatia this summer with my suzuki v-strom 650XT. Fully loaded (hard cases + camping gear and stuff) + girlfriend. We should be still few kilograms under motorcycle maximum weight load. I am curious how it will go. Greetings from Slovakia.
I rode vStrom 650XT many times on Croatian roads with hard cases and top box, fully loaded and with pillion, if you're comfy handling heavy bike yourself, you won't have any issues. Of course you'll be limited with weight where you can/can't go but for paved roads it won't be a problem at all. Have a great time it's biker's paradise. Cheers 👍👍👋
Hello there :) What do you reckon about the fuel consumption if i'll keep the speed around 80-110 km/h with a total weight (me+pillion+luggage) of 160kg. It will get higher than 4.5l per 100km?
I recon it will be around 5.5-5.9l per 100km. At least that was fuel consumption in my case. This bike is fantastic, but if you add a little weight on it, it's noticeable from fuel consumption standpoint. Cheers 👍👋
@@shiftupadventure thank you although that is bad news for me. I'm currently riding a Honda Cb600f and dispite the weight or the riding style(twiesties or highways) if I'm gentle with the throttle the fuel consumption never goes higher than 5l per 100km even though I ride with 80-90 km/h on back roads or 110-130 on highways. I was thinking of buying a cb500x due to its touring personality (my bike is naked) but the fuel consumption that you mentioned is sadly a no no for me 😔
@@sidoriuc Most people seem to report around 3.5 to 4.5 L/100km on the X... I average 3.3 on my CBR500R. It drops off pretty quick the faster you go over 100 km/h though.
@ShiftUpAdventure -> You did not write/say what was fuel consumption for whole trip, right? I would much like to know what is overall average if you have that data. EDIT: I have found in other Q/A. 5.9l combined on 100km. Tnx
Its the RPM that hits fuel consumption, beyond 4k it jus starts dropping. But 5.5 is very bad. My 10 year old F800gs takes about 4L/100km, with full luggage and pillion at aprox 110-120kmph
Well done to you both on the trip, an honest appraisal of the bike from an ordinary guy, I feel this is my next bike for sure.

At the end of the video at the recap you forget to mention kid! Very important!

Yep 😁👍👋
Do you remember what tire pressure you had? Did you increase it for the two person ride? Thanks

5.7l/100km something like that 👍👋

Confort you gave 👍but is clearly, the seat is quite bad for longer rides. When I made 550 km in a single ride, seat confort was really an issue.
Overall comfort I'd rate as good, seat is hard but overall seating position and space with 2up and luggage I'd say is good. Also I have sheepskin on my seat which helps a lot.

Did you get much vibration through the handle bars and foot pegs? Great videos.
Thanks, I had problems with vibrations before. I've sorted that out with handlebar risers and grip puppies, no issues ever since.
Another detailed and nice video.
Actually both GPS and Soeedometer don’t show correct speeds, but I will go with speedometer.
Hehe, fair enough, yeah just saying 😁👍👍👋

Very good movie.

can you tells more about the poor fuel consumption?
What is the fuel consumption?
5.9l combined on 100km 👍👋
And the butt issue continued... 🤣🤣 Anyway, great video, keep on guys! 👍
Hehe, thanks, cheers 👍👍
Love your comment DETAIL comment without any bias ⭐️⭐️
Thank you very much 👍👍👋
Is this bike good for a beginner with no motorcycle experience?
It's an excellent beginner bike, easy on throttle and very manageable 👍👍

Hiw tall you are? I am 188cm, is this bike small for me?
If that had a 650 like the Suzuki V-Strom it would be so much better . But maybe 10 lbs heavier and another $500 USD
I agree, that would be ideal 👍👍
Even the seat is much better on 2021 model vee
@@SharadTalekar just a bit more travel and ground clearance would be nice
