The guitar that's not a PRS is a Zemaitis. She has her own signature model. The base is a Black Cloud Black Smoker. And the band you just saw is the best hard rock band on the planet.
Misa has her signature black cloud bass, miku has her signature zemaitis guitar, akane has her signature drum sticks. we need a signature PRS for kanami now (maybe a signature mic for saiki... does she still use Sennheiser?)
@@DaElfer I seriously can't understand what PRS are thinking? Kanami shouldn't *JUST* have her own signature guitar, she should be their *Number One Global Brand Ambassador.* PRS should be giving her *ALL THE THINGS!* Kanami is one of the best players on the planet plus she is smart, cute, charming, professional and responsible. She's a riff-writing machine and she even speaks some English. (Plus, she would be good for outreach to Asia and females) How could you ever have a better person to represent you? Paul Reed Smith 🤔🫤🤷
Welcome to Band-Maid! (They are not an instrumental band, You haven't met the lead singer yet). The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up. Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po! Kanami (lead guitar) plays PRS Custom 24's through Bogner Pandora XTC amps and Mesa Boogie 4x12 cab (She used to use Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifiers as in this MV). She is a PRS official artiste. MISA on Bass uses Black Cloud Basses, a boutique company from Japan. She no longer runs through Orange, she has switched to Aguilar Amps. MISA is a Black Cloud artiste with her own signature model. Miku on rhythm guitar plays Zemaitis Guitars through 5150's in Japan (but uses Marshall's when touring abroad). She is a Zemaitis artist with her own signature model called 'The Flappy Pigeon'. Akane on Drums does use Tama - a five piece Tama Star Bubinga kit with Zildjian cymbals. Her snare isn't Tama though, it was a Ludwig Black Beauty 14x5 but recently switched to a Gretsch G4169BBR Bell Brass snare.
They self describe as a hard rock band. Over 110 song catalog, pop, punk, classic rock, bluesy rock, hard rock, soft rock, jazzy, emo, proggy. Something for everyone. This song was written at the request of their singer! Meant to grab the audience attention at the start of a concert. And yes, that means they are better LIVE.
200 million plus views on youtube boys. Where ya bin? Yes, the lead singer is great, they all are. The bassist and drummer together are hands down THE BEST rhythm section on the planet.
Miku, the rhythm guitarist and founder is playing a Zemitis guitar, her own personal model called the Flappy Pigeon. Misa the bassist is playing a Black Cloud bass called the Black Smoker, but also has a personal model now (black cloud is super niche and is literally two guys making basses). They are from Japan and are part of what is considered the Big Four in Japanese rock and metal. Band-Maid, Babymetal, Lovebites, and Nemophila. Japan's metal/rock scene right now is booming and cutting edge and is also mostly female led. Check em all out for sure
@@usagi3919 Who said I was talking about all-female bands? I was just revising tbe OP's original "big four" with my own. It just so happened that all tbe bands I listed are all made up of females.
I love the jaw drops from first time reactors to Band-Maid. The more songs you listen to by this band you will continually surprise about their musical abilities. The bass is a Black Cloud, and the rhythm guitarist's guitar is a Zemeitas customized "Flappy Pigeon".
🐦 *Mosh Pit Mingle* 🐦 Welcome to the world of *BAND-MAID* (2013 - Present) A group of 5 young ladies from Japan that will rock your world: *Miku Kobato* (Kuruppo) = Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar *(Po!)* *Saiki Atsumi* (Sai-Chan) = Lead Vocals *Kanami Tono* (Kanamincho) = Lead Guitarist *Akane Hirose* (A-Chan) = Drummer *MISA* (MISA, MISA, MISA) = Bassist If you wish to continue down this Pigeon Hole 😊 you will enjoy over 100+ great songs you will start saying to yourself “This is my favorite *BAND-MAID* song”. _(No joke Po!)_ Below is a list of songs that will get you started *Choose Me(MV) - 2018* *Dice(MV) - 2018* *Real Existence Live - Zepp Tokyo 2018* *Blooming(MV) - 2019* *ONSET - Zepp Tokyo 2018* (instrumental) I discovered *BAND-MAID* in 2019 and came to a realization that *BAND-MAID* more then just a rock band they are a band that does not have any boundaries and is willing experiment into different genre from (Blues, Rock, Punk and Jazz) and a lot of fans including me would say “you got to check out their live videos” from: *2017-STUDIO COAST* *2018-Zepp Tokyo* *2020-LINE CUBE SHIBUYA* *2021-BAND-MAID ONLINE ACOUSTIC* In the end I realize that *BAND-MAID* more then just a band but a band that cares about each other and their fan base and in October of 2022 I had a fortune of experiencing them live and with that *BAND-MAID* cemented their Legacy into my heart. Rock On! 🤘 *100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back…*
Others below have posted more details about the band, but you'll note that they do have a lead vocalist, and the rhythm guitarist from this video does backup vocals and occasional lead vocals on some songs. Their vocals are great, they just realize that instrumentals are also a valid form of rock and so have a few. These also serve to spell the vocalists during their live shows, which are amazing. I hope you get to check out some of their live videos! Thanks for reacting to our Maids!
For a base solo you can hear Hate and Don’t tell me. For a drum solo you can hear Freedom. For rap you can hear Influencer. For pure hard rock you can hear Take me higher. For hard riffs you can hear Moratorium. For ballads you can hear Daydreaming and Wonderland. For Incubus, you can hear Bestie. Or my favourites, Anemone, Unfair game, Matchless gum.
Nice reaction. BAND-MAID is the best rock band on the planet, regardless of gender. Imo, most of the best rock is coming from Japan, and mostly from all-female bands: BABYMETAL, NEMOPHILA, TRIDENT, LOVEBITES, HANABIE, GACHARIC SPIN, MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, etc., etc... Arigatou! 🤘🤘
Many of us saw Band-Maid play “From Now On” live. OMNG! Kanami riffed her ass off. The DB’s matched the BPM’s! So FROM NOW ON, Band-Maid will grow in popularity even faster as their awesome, sold out 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR wrapped up at Japan’s 17,000 seat Yokohama Arena on Nov. 26 and at Hong Kong. AND they’re writing and recording for their new album! The Maids are one of the hardest working super groups in the business! Their music, their sound, each of the Maids... and the love that permeates their live events is an experience not to be missed. Hope you can catch them LIVE! Thx, M-Pit Guys!
Not an instrumental band, but one that is good enough to release an MV without one of their strongest weapons, their vocalist, without losing anything of what sets them apart. 🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ _"America invented rock. England improved it. And now, Japan has perfected it."_ ※ Band-Maid ※ Gacharic Spin ※ Lovebites ※ Nemophila ※ East of Eden ※ Hanabie ※ Asterism ※ Trident ※ Hades ※ etc.
I think Japan has taken music to a new level. The drummer for Band Maid said her inspiration for drumming comes from another female drummer named Nao who plays for a very metal Japanese band, Maximum the Hormone. Check out their song A.L.I.E.N.
Thanks for the reaction and comments. These ladies are FIRE!!!!! They are arguably the best live rock band on the planet. It's criminal that they don't have a larger following around the globe. There are too many great songs to recommend. My personal suggestion is to start randomly picking one of their official live videos and follow the trail. Cheers!
It's not hyperbole when I say you could literally pick any song. Here are some good songs from Band Maid ( in no particular order): Honkai, brand new road, start over, order, alone, Arcadia girl, choose me, why why why, chemical reaction, don't apply the brake, shake that, glory, Beauty and the beast, don't you tell me, bubble, daydreaming, different, don't let me down, the nonfiction days, moratorium, cross, take me higher, time, secret my lips, fate, Rock in me, clang, turn me on, daydreaming, wonderland, bubble, the dragon cries, warning, blooming, no god, afterlife, hgk, Giovanni, from now on, corallium, influencer, shambles, before yesterday, I still seek revenge, freezer, reincarnation(rinne)
Wait until you hear them sing. The maid playing the metal and pearl front Zemaitis guitar is also the band's secondary vocalist and their primary vocalist occasionally plays keyboard. They're a quintet. They do instrumentals to give their vocalist's cords a rest. Band-Maid does anime themes also. They play "From Now On" live at concerts. This band has a warped sense of humor and the maid outfits are just for the incongruity of cute maids playing serious hard rock. Formed in 2013, Band-Maid has cranked out an incredibly deep catalog of catchy punk-pop-prog-rock songs. Their lyrics are an eclectic blend of Japanese and English that make clever use of homophones and interlingual puns. There isn't anything else on the planet like them and they're just getting started.
Thank you for reacting to the greatest rock band on the planet. PRS and Zemaitis are the 2 guitars. The bass is a Japanese brand Black Cloud. They do have a vocalist that is not in this video. If you're not familiar with Japanese rock and metal you are really missing out.
Miku the guitarist with the guitar you couldn't identify, is playing her signature guitar the "Flappy Pigeon", the first ever signature guitar produced by Zemaitis, since they began more than 70 years ago. That tells you something.
I’m sure someone else can fill in the exact specifics of all the equipment… Lead guitar: PRS and Mesa Boogie amp Rhythm guitar: Zemaitis and EVH 5150 amp Bass: Black Cloud and Orange Amps (I might have the amps on the two guitars mixed up)
Just wait ‘till you hear them sing. And you want to see them live for the full BAND-MAID experience. Start with DOMINATION, from 14 February 2020. Hold on to your hats.
Guys, another fantastic instrumental and played in live is "Onset". To get to know the singer Saiki you should start with "Domination" Live. If you want an epic solo of the drummer Akane I recommend "Freedom". If you want something that makes you appreciate the ability of the lead guitarist Kanami and the bass player Misa I recommend the live of "Hate?" And "Dont'you Tell". If you want something really heavy check out "Moratorium" live. Have a nice trip to the world of the Band Maid.
Came to your channel because of BAND-MAID but I am also a modern metalcore and pop punk listener. Saw some reactions of bands that I know in your channel. Think I'll stay tuned to you guys.
Welcome to the Awesome world of Band-Maid! Great reaction. Love the jaw drops...LOL They have a fantastic vocalist and a very deep, yet diverse, portfolio. You only have 120+ great songs to go, so looking forward to your next Band-Maid reaction. Enjoy the ride. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Band-Maid is the best rock band I discovered in the last 30 years, I´m glad you liked it. But guys, if you really think the metal world is, or ever was, mainly centered in the US you´ve been sleeping under a rock for a long time 😉
They're usually a five piece with a lead singer (pigtails is usually backing vocalist). They sing mostly Japanese with English mixed in. Check out Hate? live or Domination Live (not the MV). You won't regret it.
Watch their live videos. That's when it all comes together - great performers, musicians, composers, entertainers, etc. They have a singer - you landed on one of their handful of instrumentals (which are all awesome).
Y’all are killing it with all the info on the band! We appreciate the insight! We’ll for sure be checking out a song with their vocalist. Also, I agree, Demonic deserves prison for his Band-Aid comment…
I'd recommend Hate?, the official live video on their YT channel. They make pretty fun videos, and sound pretty good in the studio, but they're first and foremost a live band who returns the energy they get from the crowd. They throw in extra instrumental features and stuff to enhance the live shows for the fans who come out for them, and they're a nice treat. Their lead vocalist, in particular, will give it a little extra effort when the crowd is making her happy, and she was on fire that whole show. They played 33 songs, at the same kind of intensity you saw here.
They are Japanese... Miku (Backing vocals/rhythm guitar) was worked at one time at a traditional Japanese Maid Cafe. When she decided to put together "Band Maid" when she spotted Kanami (Lead Guitar) posting some of her music projects online... they wear uniforms inspired by the typical maid cafe uniforms. You guys got one of their four instrumental songs. The lead singer Saiki is not even out there on this one... and the guitar Miku is playing is a Custom Zemaitis, they also made her a Flying V version you'll sometimes see her using.
Okay, names, pronunciation, nicknames, and roles, in order that they joined the band. Miku Kobato - mee-koo - Kuruppo, the Little Pigeon, the Little Engine Who Will - band founder, backing (and occasionally lead) vocals, rhythm guitar, principal lyricist, tireless Spokespigeon and PR machine. Wielder of weapons grade cuteness. Poker shark and horse racing fanatic. So determined to see her band succeed that she fired herself as lead singer (she decided her voice wasn't strong enough for hard rock), then went looking for a replacement. Learned to play guitar after the band was formed. Definitely eccentric, possibly insane. Kanami Tono - kah-nah-mee - Kanamincho or just Mincho - lead guitar, keyboards, principal composer and arranger. On stage, she's a savant mad riffer with a room temperature IQ and a huge crush on Saiki. In reality, she's a genius, and not just musically- she has a degree in economics with honors. A sweet, motherly woman who turns into a beast when you hand her a guitar. Akane Hirose - ah-kah-neh - A-chan, the Gorilla - drums, sequencing, snacks, the leader the band doesn't have. What you see is what you get- a cheerful jock with a huge appetite who burns off the calories murdering her drums. Completely unflappable. Frequently snacks between songs. Has been known to sign her banana peels and throw them to the audience. MISA - mee-sah - the Barefoot Assassin, MISA MISA MISA! - bass, booze, occasional wet work. Usually stone faced. Barely acknowledges the audience's existence. Always has a beer or a bottle of Jim Beam on her Orange amp. Originally, these were ways of coping with stage fright. These days, that's just how the assassin rolls. Saiki Atsumi - sah-ee-kee (but Psyche is close enough) - the Ice Queen, Sensei, Sai-chan - lead vocals, some lyrics, the "We're done" girl. Fashionista and train nerd. Regards her band mates, especially Kanami and Miku, with bemused exasperation. In total command on stage; hides behind Miku off stage (she's actually kind of shy).
PIT MINGLERS: Thanks for your reaction to “from now on” by BAND-MAID! It’s always great fun to see first time reactions to BAND-MAID! WTF? and OMG! are typical reactions. Don’t feel too bad. Nearly everyone (at least everyone who knows music) has the same reaction: 1. Who are these ladies? (BAND-MAID) 2. How long have they been making music? (11 years now) 3. Why have I never heard of them? (We’ve been hiding them from you! LOL.) Actually we MAIDIACS don’t understand that either. With their talent and song catalogue they should be much much bigger! But mass stardom is coming soon. It’s inevitable. If you weren’t a fan before, you will be now. There’s over 130 songs in their catalogue, every one of them amazing. A few recommendations: THRILL (their first music video 2013) MANNERS (live or music video - they both rock!) REAL EXISTENCE (MV) DICE (live and MV) SHAMBLES (MV) Domination (live) No God WARNING (MV) Cheers!
There are so many variations of Rock music labels today that they have lost their meaning. Used to be "soft", "hard", psychedelic, and heavy metal" but with new sounds, variations, and fusion it all becomes a race to put new labels on every note. That is one of the reasons Maidiacs say that Band-Maid is a Genre. They cover all aspects of Rock, ...sometimes in a single track. If you're not tied to one sound and love Rock music in general then these 5 ladies are the real deal. IMO the best in the world and arguably the best ever. Thanks for taking time out to give this band a listen. Good reaction brothers. Hopefully you'll listen to more... dont deprive yourself of seeing history being MAID!
Welcome to the fandom! ♥ these girls! I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, No God (live) & Puzzle (live) I'd also suggest The Warning. They're another all girl rock band from Mexico I suggest these The Warning songs: Money, Sick, Automatic Sun, Enter Sandman (official video with Alessia Cara), Dust To Dust (live Teatro) & Evolve (live VMAs) BTW - both bands are big fans of each other 😎
Definitely not an instrumental band. They do use instrumentals to give their vocalists to break during their exceptionally energetic shows. Which you will see you once you start listening to the live versions
Welcome, M-Pit Guys. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 200 million YT views plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (130+ songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/v-deo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Sense, Glory and Unleash!!!!! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 32 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 32 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 31 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Mosh Pit Mingle , Welcome to BAND-MAID , Enjoy your journey down the Pigeon hole , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin , they do have a Fantastic Lead vocalist , you all so might like Domination or Hate? both official live videos .
Band Maid is a fantastic band. Another fantastic instrumental by them is Onset. Check out the official live video for that song😁👍 But songs like Rinne, Play, Dice, Blackhole is also great songs(with vocals) and yeah the have tons of great songs😄 👍 Great reaction
I would recommend the Domination Official Live video next. It showcases the whole band very well. Then "Hate?", Freedom, Warning and Manners. Those will give a good taste, but they have a very wide variety of sounds.
Miku is playing her Signature Zemaitis, The Flappy Pigeon. MISA has a Black Cloud Signature bass, but that's not it. That's a Black Smoker. Speaking of Anime Battles, they have done't commissions for ANime Theme songs like, 'Glory' for Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS, and more recently 'Shambles', the season two closer for the Netflix anime Kengan Ashurs. They also do Battles. Call & Response "Battles". Though they have instrumentals, such as this one, they have full songs as well. Try 'Hate?' LIVE from their 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena
Maybe it's time to meet 5 beautiful ladies in high heels and dresses playing classic heavy metal? For starters, I recommend the song Break the Wall from their earlier albums. Boasting over 70 hit singles, they won Best New Metal Band at the Metal Hammer Awards in 2018. The girls play heavy, thrash, power and prog metal, they also have some beautiful ballads. Break the wall ua-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/v-deo.html or Nameless warrior ua-cam.com/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/v-deo.html

Ok. Now for some suggestions on music you've been missing coming out of Japan. All female metal and rock bands. Band -Song suggestion. Here we go: Hanabie - We Love Sweets Lovebites - Hammer Of Wrath Nemophila - Oiran Babymetal - Divine Attack Babymetal with Electric Callboy - Ratatata (new release today)
They play hard rock though there are some heavy metal elements in their music. For 100% metal sound, check the band Lovebites, "Set the world on fire live" is a good song to begin with.
Band covered in band-aids? Wow. Don't quit your day job. The other guitar is a Zemaitis. The bass is a Black Smoker. They are not an instrumental band. They record a new instrumental track for each new album, but they do have a lead singer.
Thanks for checking out Band Maid, best rock band on the planet, but it would be nice to turn up the band's volume so the uninitiated could at least hear what's going on.
85% US, you are unplugged! Start with Bloodywood Ghaddar (I’m sure I spelled that wrong) and Nemophila Dissension. Japan has the hottest music scene since Seattle.
Well, starting with an instrumental is odd but fun 😂 IMHO, Band Maid is not metal😅 they are rock ... hard rock with many elements from pop, punk, prog and metal. I am sure that some other fans will tell you anything about the guitar (Zemaitis) and bass (Black Cloud, I think).... 😊 These ladies are masters at their instruments: Kanami (composer and lead guitar), Akane (drums) and Misa (bass). Then there is lead vocalist Saiki who is perfect for the Band Maid sound and Miku Kobato (rythm guitar, pure energy, most lyrics, fantastic backing vocals and harmonies). Miku wasn't able to play the guitar when she founded the bandin 2013. I don't know of any other band where the fans' playlists differ so much. So, this is just a quite random selection of songs: For some very special live videos try Freedom, Play, Real existence and Endless Story. With Moratorium (Live at Zepp), Rinne (MV) and Dice you can hear more hard rock while more catchy songs are Choose me (MV), Bestie (MV) and Alone (MV). And if you want to hear some ballads then maybe About Us (MV) and Daydreaming (MV) are good picks. But don't miss some other instrumentals like Onset (Live). And finally a very special live performance is Manners/Blackhole (Official Online Live)🍌 And there is more: For example the songs with Miku in lead, their christmas acoustic concert and the 'cover band' Band-Maiko ;-) But if you want to start at the beginning of their career (2013-2017) then go with Thrill (MV, their first video), Real Existence (second video), Alone (MV, first own composition), Freedom(best LIVE performance), Choose Me, Play (LIVE!), ... Some other band recommendations? Then try "The Sixsters" from Ukraine (Pick any song) and "Gacharic Spin" from Japan (song: "Mindset"). Have fun... Po By the way: No big deal but I don't like the term "chicks" when talking about women: It might be slang and okay for you ... maybe it's just me but in my European ears it's quite offensive. 🤷♂
Since you cannot instantly react to all those songs 🤣I recommend you to listen to the song(s) "Manners, Blackhole" (Official Live Online, where you can hear their rock/groove side and ... well ... then something different)🤘... or Moratorium (live) ... or ... oh well, I am doing it again 😀
Well now you done it! Since your in Japan, you can not, not react to Babymetal (the group that made j metal popular in Japan, best live band in the world btw, not just Japan). Few recommendations... 1. Megitsune (music video specifically, only music video you need to watch, everything else watch live). 2. Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live (highlights the band members behind the girls, front and center, invite only arena, Ozzy played here back in the day). 3. BMTH Kingslayer ft BabyMetal live in Tokyo (favorite song all time). 4. Monochrome live in pia arena 5. Maya live in pia arena 6. Road of Resistance live in Japan Soooo much more
"Is this an instrumental band?" SEE?! THAT'S why I don't like introducing Band-Maid to reactors with an instrumental. Show them the WHOLE band first. Instrumentals are cool and all, but they should be what you show them afterwards. Like a sundae without whipped cream. Where's the whipped cream?!
Are you serious?!! The US has not been the driving force of metal over the decades. Check out British, Irish, Finnish, Swedish, Dutch, Brazilian, French, Canadian (and many other countries) rock and metal bands…..shocking comment and you have only scratched the surface of Japanese talent (especially female) in rock and metal….
I was thinking the exact same thing, the UK, Scandinavia, Germany, Australia, to name but a few. Although I would hazard a guess that they made little impact in the US or maybe North America in general.
@@DaElfer On Saiki I believe yes, though not 100% sure. 🙂
@@DaElfer The fact that PRS has an artist page dedicated to Kanami is quite high praise.
@@k3w1b3an5 she did do the review of their collection of anniversary guitars
Damn Davey this is my fourth reaction today! 🍺🤪

Replace Babymetal with Hanabie so everything will be perfect.

Saw them twice in 2022 . They are the real deal . Have been following Band Maid since 2017 .
I love the jaw drops from first time reactors to Band-Maid. The more songs you listen to by this band you will continually surprise about their musical abilities. The bass is a Black Cloud, and the rhythm guitarist's guitar is a Zemeitas customized "Flappy Pigeon".
BAND-MAID is so good that it would be impossible to make a top 10 list of their songs, because you would have to leave out so many great songs!

I discovered *BAND-MAID* in 2019 and came to a realization that *BAND-MAID* more then just a rock band they are a band that does not have any boundaries and is willing experiment into different genre from (Blues, Rock, Punk and Jazz) and a lot of fans including me would say “you got to check out their live videos” from:
*2017-STUDIO COAST*
*2018-Zepp Tokyo*
*2020-LINE CUBE SHIBUYA*
*2021-BAND-MAID ONLINE ACOUSTIC*
In the end I realize that *BAND-MAID* more then just a band but a band that cares about each other and their fan base and in October of 2022 I had a fortune of experiencing them live and with that *BAND-MAID* cemented their Legacy into my heart. Rock On! 🤘
*100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back…*
Oh and they have a great vocalist so you got to try another one now.
Thanks for checking them out! Hate? Live would be a good one to watch next.
+1 for 'Hate?'!
And this is why Band Maid opens festivals with this. 🤘🏽
Arigatou! 🤘🤘

Definetly their next Band-Maid song should be Hate.... in their channel. More face melting by Band Maid
For Metalhead check : Shambles , Unleash , Sense , Warning, Rinne , Dice .Welcome to HARD (Core) ROCK MAID BAND : Band-Maid !!!
Good list. I would definitely add Onset live to that list.
I saw Band-Maid at the Aftershock Festival in 2022 and they opened with "From Now On" =) Check out "HATE?" Official Live you will Love It !
Not an instrumental band, but one that is good enough to release an MV without one of their strongest weapons, their vocalist, without losing anything of what sets them apart. 🔥🤘🏻

They are rock and roll guardian angels and the best hard rock band on this planet🤘Keep an eye on them!!
Here are some good songs from Band Maid ( in no particular order):
Honkai, brand new road, start over, order, alone, Arcadia girl, choose me, why why why, chemical reaction, don't apply the brake, shake that, glory, Beauty and the beast, don't you tell me, bubble, daydreaming, different, don't let me down, the nonfiction days, moratorium, cross, take me higher, time, secret my lips, fate, Rock in me, clang, turn me on, daydreaming, wonderland, bubble, the dragon cries, warning, blooming, no god, afterlife, hgk, Giovanni, from now on, corallium, influencer, shambles, before yesterday, I still seek revenge, freezer, reincarnation(rinne)
Lol, you guys are going to have your minds blown as you get into their catalog

Hi Mosh Pit Mingle,
welcome to the world of Band-Maid !
Hope to see more Band-Maid here in the future.
I’m sure someone else can fill in the exact specifics of all the equipment…
Lead guitar: PRS and Mesa Boogie amp
Rhythm guitar: Zemaitis and EVH 5150 amp
Bass: Black Cloud and Orange Amps
(I might have the amps on the two guitars mixed up)
You got the amps right. I think Misa has moved on to Aguilar and Kanami has moved on to Bogner since then.

Time to check "Hate?" ... live, with vocals and an epic guitar/bass duel. Also : "Zemaitis Flappy Pigeon" ... that's the guitar's name ;)
In their early days, they played with the Band-Aid thing in stylizing the band name, so that's all good 😊
Welcome to the party!!
Best rocking maids on earth!!
Their live video of the song Hate will blow your mind
! ! ! Truth

Nearly everyone (at least everyone who knows music) has the same reaction:
1. Who are these ladies? (BAND-MAID)
2. How long have they been making music? (11 years now)
3. Why have I never heard of them? (We’ve been hiding them from you! LOL.)
Actually we MAIDIACS don’t understand that either. With their talent and song catalogue they should be much much bigger! But mass stardom is coming soon. It’s inevitable.

I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, No God (live) & Puzzle (live)
I'd also suggest The Warning. They're another all girl rock band from Mexico
I suggest these The Warning songs: Money, Sick, Automatic Sun, Enter Sandman (official video with Alessia Cara), Dust To Dust (live Teatro) & Evolve (live VMAs)
BTW - both bands are big fans of each other 😎
Definitely not an instrumental band.
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick.
Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans.

Didn anyone mention please do "HATE?" live at Yokohama for Gary next please? I don't mind if they didn't.😔
Do what the Gary says and nobody gets hurt. You'll get your face melted, but you won't get hurt.

バンドメイドは 最高なバンドだよ!。 最高な世界のバンドだよね~と。
"All gas--no breaks" is a great description of Band Maid. You might like "Sense" or "Black Hole/Manners." Cheers.
PRS guitar, Zemaitis guitar, Black Cloud bass
Welcome to Maid`s world!
You only know a small part of them.
There are about 100 great songs left.
Welcome to *BAND MAID!*
They have a singer, I'd suggest checking out their track *Hate?* .
🤘😀🤘
Check out their song HATE (Official Live Video) with their lead vocalist. This band rocks!
You should check out their LIVE song "Hate?" with their singer. Good reaction.
Band of Maid's, literally!
Welcome to Band-Maid(bet you already listened to more) Sunday is NOW my Band-maid day. go to thier channel hit play all, then enjoy
Welcome new masters,
Band Maid is a fantastic band.
Another fantastic instrumental by them is Onset. Check out the official live video for that song😁👍
But songs like Rinne, Play, Dice, Blackhole is also great songs(with vocals) and yeah the have tons of great songs😄 👍
Great reaction
Well done, Roger.
Nice reaction.
Now turn up your VOLUME!
I would recommend the Domination Official Live video next. It showcases the whole band very well. Then "Hate?", Freedom, Warning and Manners. Those will give a good taste, but they have a very wide variety of sounds.
Welcome to Band Maid. Next you halve to check out their song Shambles or their live performance of Hate.
Funny you say hate. Check out the uploads a few minutes ago 😎
Po!🕊
The other guitar is a signature series zamitas floppy pigeon
Flappy Pigeon Zemaitis. Miku's signature guitar.
They are that good.
Ok. Now for some suggestions on music you've been missing coming out of Japan. All female metal and rock bands. Band -Song suggestion. Here we go:
Hanabie - We Love Sweets
Lovebites - Hammer Of Wrath
Nemophila - Oiran
Babymetal - Divine Attack
Babymetal with Electric Callboy - Ratatata (new release today)
A guide to everything BAND-MAID: www.youtube.com/@Ohrenje
Bloodywood is from India.
These guys are funny the whole time try to figure what guitar
Well, starting with an instrumental is odd but fun 😂
IMHO, Band Maid is not metal😅 they are rock ... hard rock with many elements from pop, punk, prog and metal. I am sure that some other fans will tell you anything about the guitar (Zemaitis) and bass (Black Cloud, I think).... 😊
These ladies are masters at their instruments: Kanami (composer and lead guitar), Akane (drums) and Misa (bass).
And finally a very special live performance is Manners/Blackhole (Official Online Live)🍌 And there is more: For example the songs with Miku in lead, their christmas acoustic concert and the 'cover band' Band-Maiko ;-)
But if you want to start at the beginning of their career (2013-2017) then go with Thrill (MV, their first video), Real Existence (second video), Alone (MV, first own composition), Freedom(best LIVE performance), Choose Me, Play (LIVE!), ...
Some other band recommendations? Then try "The Sixsters" from Ukraine (Pick any song) and "Gacharic Spin" from Japan (song: "Mindset").
Have fun... Po
By the way: No big deal but I don't like the term "chicks" when talking about women: It might be slang and okay for you ... maybe it's just me but in my European ears it's quite offensive.
🤘🥰🤗👍🕊👀😁
🍺🥴
Down the pigeon hole u go, po!
Sorry I'm late, but welcome to the Maidiacs, guys.
Thanks for the welcome. We will be filming another band made review Sunday afternoon over on Kick watch for the video or swinging by!
Sorry to DISAPPOINT You Guys. This not for Anime but for SaiChan (Lead Singer )Pee-Break😅😂. Thanks for Reaction & WELCOME to BAND-MAID👍🔥🤟
The Maids are absolutely the best band on the planet. Do a deep dive on the Band Maid and you will find out why their fans are called Maidiacs.
You guys havé ni idea how good band-maid are i tell you
Zemaitis.
You boys ain't seen nothing yet.
4. Monochrome live in pia arena
5. Maya live in pia arena
6. Road of Resistance live in Japan
Soooo much more
Err, WHO could it be ?
"Is this an instrumental band?"
SEE?!
But that was a very dumb comment. Band covered with band-aids? smh
Let is salide... They are not the only ones... 😅
@@Puyax01 It's a pun on Band-Aid anyway... so even the person that thought of the name made that connection.
