If I did not desire to paint at all, I would gladly spend an entire day watching you create a Master Piece! You are a brilliant artist, and certainly a brilliant instructor. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent, and for taking extra moments to explain your different techniques. This painting is beautiful, and watching it come to fruition was a joy!

I love seeing the colors begin to dry and as they do, your painting begins to glow and spring to life. It is truly amazing to see. Thank you for sharing your methods and talking throughout the creative process to help us understand what you are doing. I love watching you paint.

Thanks for all your hard work in producing these lessons. How about a video on rocks and cliffs ? I always struggle to get them to look right.

I really like the color scheme of this one Karim. Do you paint any other type of landscapes besides the Floridian? I bet you could do some killer desert landscapes with this type of vibrancy.

Thank you Jay! I’ve painted other scenes as well such as the the Arizona desert, and I painted scenes of fields from France. Actually I’m about to do one right after this commission I’m working on is done!

Thank you Laurie!! For acrylics I use either University from Winsor&Newton or ProWhite from CreativeMark which are Jerry’s Artaramas house brand. For water mixable oils I use Powercryl by CreativeMark or ProStroke also by CrwativeMark which are both Jerry’s Artarama’s house brands as well !

I just loved how u started with simple layers nd ended up with masterpiece
The thing is in pastel painting that too pastel knife or palette painting I usually put first layers and then coat over with painting alcohol after drying it gives a nice blended farrago of colours which I then use to precisely paint the details

Thank you Anish, I tried pastels a long time ago and then tried again with oil pastels to see if I can do it, but I guess it was not for me, Lol !! Although I’ve seen some beautiful works in pastel which is why I wanted to try it!

Hey Karim. Awesome job. I made some notes through this one. Especially about the dark/light sky vs dark/light reflective water. I love these backwater scenes with the birds that you do. 1 quick question. The naphtol red is different from usual, was it just an arbitrary choice over cad red light or do u prefer the naphthol? I bought a tube a while back but havent tried it yet. 💕👍🏻😃👏🏻

Hi Luna, it was arbitrary, I had it laying around but liked the grayed down purple it produced with ultramarine blue! It also made a nice orange as well, so I kept it, Lol !!
