- Ducati just pushed everythingto the max in regards of single cylinders. The Italians presented at Eicma their latest engine created. With a power output of 85HP, the new Hypermotard is set to conquer the Motard Scene.
Aprilia SXV 550 for the win! The DUC is a TANK! Until a manufacturer produces 80 hp from a lightweight engine the XV is KING!

Love this new Hyper! KTM 690 still makes a bit more torque though.
Doesn’t have a full front mudguard, the radiator will be covered in road debris. The rear shock will have the same fate…
It has Titanium, Magnesium, light frame, light wheels, lithium battery, smaller tank, smaller engine... so why is it still heavier than the KTM/GasGas/Husqvarna ?
It is way down on torque so it won't accelerate or wheelie like the KTM.
Just revs higher and has a tiny bit more top end power for bragging rights on paper.
Ducati's own graphics for the engine power and torque absolutely suck.
And on the garph the peak torgue is under 60nm although the specification states 63nm.
85 with the full Termi + air box lid + maping.
Only -1,5 kg weight loss.
For less money you can tune the KTM intake, exhaust and mapping and make same power but waaaaay more torque and pull.
It looks good but there is no value.
Disappointed.
Still slower than a 2016 ktm 690 😂
Could Ducati be more reliable than a KTM, being part of German, Audi group. Certainly more exotic, and stylish than a KTM.
Not as powerful as the ktm 690 without its non-street legal exhaust. Also, it's heavier than the ktm 690 smcr. All hype.
