The Sq to round piece should of been large ended to slide over the existing vertical duct, cut out inside measurement of the Sq to round piece, and screw the sq to round to existing duct
5:55 / Malco actually makes tools ( s2rls ) that make this part of the construction professional looking rather than using a tool meant for plumbing work,,,
Quite a few new students coming into the trade need to be shown how to do a job correctly. In the video it was shown that a tool, not designed for the job at hand, could be substituted. Those schooled it the trades know otherwise . Hand this been a joe handy man channel the premise would be understandable.

Thank u

That way for the take time guys mate. For me, cut the hole, then turn out 25mm at square to round duct, silicon on that. Done on 5 minutes
@@Sirvivu 5 minutes? Sounds like you’re a take time guy yourself. You must be a plumber.

All this when you didn't even actually want a 90 degree bend? Why not use a piece to give a Y branch?
