Remember when Owen Wilson (Jedediah) said in an interview that Jedediah and Octavius's relationship was "almost like a love story" only to be interrupted by the director who was quick to clarify "a BROTHERLY love," and Wilson just nodded hesitantly? Good times.
And hollywood will call them; close friends, besties, roomates, colleagues, anything but lovers. HOLYWOOD HATE LOVERS- Sidekicks, family, good pals, buddies, anything but lovers. HOLYWOOD HATES LOVERS

I think it says a lot that the SECOND they stopped fighting for good in the first film, they became inseparable. They went RIGHT from always fighting to never leaving each others' side for more than a few seconds if they could help it and remained joined at the hip for the rest of the three movies and that less good animated movie too
My personal head-canon is that they were exes and that’s why they hated each other. It seemed too personal for it just to be “we fight because we’re on different sides.” Neither of them seemed to dislike the other side it was more like they just butted heads with each other and there people followed them.
Also saying kids are too young to understand that people can be gay is so dumb. I remember when I was a kid I was thinking oh yeah they’re gonna kiss and then when they didn’t I was so confused.

@alessiacavalleri7833 so a flapjack is made with porridge oats, butter and golden syrup (and some other ingredients) baked in the oven. A biscuit is sweet, flat and CRUNCHY. If it's soft and fairly large it's a cookie. A scone can be either sweet or savoury and is made with self raising flour, butter and water. Then you'd add either your sweet items such as chocolate, sugar and extract or savoury items such as cheese. Mix it together and place balls of the dough on a baking tray. They'll then rise and can be eaten with butter, cream and jam for the sweet ones or just butter for the savoury ones. I have scrolled for thirty minutes to find this comment and I am loving it!
I scrolling along, having fun reading people pointing out super small details that further show their relationship throughout the trilogy, and then something like this pops up. Now, this is tame compared to some other posts, but save it for fanfic!
The way I see it, each movie represents a phase of their relationship.
In the first movie, they are enemies for the most part of it but become friends near the end. That friendship continues and transitions into the second movie, where it grows stronger and ~maybe~ starts to become something else, at least for Octavius. And then we have the third movie, where they have a established and strong relationship as friends now but things are a bit "fuzzy" because of Octavius' feelings for Jed and Jed being completely oblivious of Oct's feelings (and maybe his own feelings) until he finally has to confront them (when Oct asks him to hold his hand for the first time). So, throughout the movie, Octavius tries to "make moves" on Jed, showing Jed (in a subtle but not so subtle way) that he has a crush on him, which Jed slowly acknowledges and processes by himself until near the end of the movie, where he finally takes Octavius' hand as a symbol of him accepting and reciprocating his romantic feelings.
So, to simplify: First movie - enemies to -> Second movie - friends to -> Third movie - lovers.

Like...anytime we see them together?? He's just...always looking at Jed???
In the novelization, apparently Larry caught Jed but your commentary is fucking perfect
@@gemstonepoints what?

At 34:56 “it’s disgusting.”
Octavius, looking directly at Jed: “Yet, he’s still handsome.”
Octavius was able to break it with the Power of Love
I love how Octavius is thirsting over Lancelot at every chance he gets 😄
That moment where you wrote "pure of heart... dumb of ass..." lives in my head rent free tbh
8:42 me, gazing longingly into Ahkmenrah's eyes: man... Rami sure did look pretty there...
Last time I watched this movie I finally realised I did have a celebrity crush and it was him
FUCK I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS FOCUSED ON RAMI IN THIS SCENE HELP
@@miadelique I assure you, you're not the only one,all I could do was stare at him 😭😭😭

“It’s as elusive as human happiness!” Why am I just now catching that line? That’s probably the most relatable line I’ve ever heard.
"Why does this sound like a custody battle" Had me ROLLING 🤣🤣
"It feels good, doesn't it, Jedediah?" "Boy, you said it!" That sounds so different out of context
Oof yes, octodaddy

Wether it’s romantic or completely platonic, the chest bump bit is adorable
I love Owen Wilson, he always has this sense of charisma in his delivery.
if u say to my dad “the cowboy dude and his boyfriend from night at the museum” he knows exactly who ur talking ab bc he too agrees that they are absolutely 1000% dating
“Can’t catch the light you can’t do it! it’s as illusive as human happiness” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 lmao damn

Pretty sure it’s a reference to the Great Gatsby or whatever, and the the light representing the American dream or some shit

I love how the Jedediah and Octavius scenes take up like 40 minutes of the movie.
