    Another great video, you have a subscriber. I felt like Zion was the most curated national park we have been too. Beautiful but felt like it was the most difficult to escape people. We are planning to do R3 in early Nov, so that is my next watch of your videos!

      Thank you! It's great to have you join the community! Zion is wildly overcrowded most of the year.. and there are only a handful of hike you can do in the canyon so those get very crowded very quickly. It's unfortunate but it's the reality of visiting this national park now, and I wanted to share my authentic experience. R2R2R is a crazy hike! just be aware of the water stations while you are hiking they are imperative! Good luck.

    What a visually stunning hike! I like how you mix in audio from thoughts during your production and that while out on the trail as it gives a blend of en vivo thoughts combined with more nomothetic reflections.
    I am curious about the ideal forward setup for such hikes. Thanks!

      Thank you for watching! It was a beautiful hike. Getting there about 6-630am in June, July, august or September would be the best. the shuttle system doesn't start running until 6am so there is no need to get there before that. keep your eye on the weather and double check for flash flood warning before you start hiking. There will be a bunch of people on this hike regardless of how early you go.
      If you were brave enough you could try this hike in the colder months, there would probably be no one on the river. The water is really cold though, even in the hot months.

    How long is the hike?

      @trailandtravel  Місяць тому +1

      It can go up to 4.5 miles in one way, but you can go as far as you’d like.

    Hey kind of off-topic for the video, but I'm travelling to Salt Lake City/ Sandy area this weekend. Do you know of any must-do hikes in that area?

      @@trailandtravel Thanks Funny, Lake Blanche was the hike I had picked based on my searching online. I switched it up and did White Pine Lake based on the distance and the recommendation I got from someone I met at the Speedgoat Trail Race the day before. I was told it's as nice as Blanche but less busy. I can't speak to Blanche but White Pine was spectacular!! Highly recommend!!

      I used my trail runners, they are the Altra Olympus 5’s. They are great shoes. You’ll want something with really good support and traction.

      This is the Osprey hikelite 26L. I believe I hit it online. It’s a great bag, I would recommend it!
