A bad day for you would be the best day of herping I've ever experienced. I'd love to watch an in depth video that explains various strategies for different weather conditions, what kind of habitat is ideal for the species that you often target. I grew up in the southeastern USA and I found snakes very regularly in my youth, but these days my sightings are few and far between. Admittedly, I don't dedicate a whole lot of time to it, but that's partially because it seems futile.
I've been checking out your videos for the past two months and I'm amazed how calm these snakes are when you pick them up. Oh and I'm addicted you your videos. Keep them coming!!
Who tf disliked this vid?? This guy is one of the herpers that most respects the reptiles. Unlike those "snake lovers" that have loads of big endangered species in their house that sould be in the rainforest... quite sad.
@2.5in Bore Offset there are lots of people who keep threatened animals in their house. The illegal animal trade is huge. Not only reptiles. Did you know there are more tigers in american backyards than in the wild?! I agree with you, people who love animals keep animals at home. But some animals simply don't belong at someone's home. Oh and I'm pretty sure some humans have damaged more the world than others...
@2.5in Bore Offset I get your point but does that actually make sense? I'm alive, but I can contribute to recovery of wildlife, just because members of my species destroyed the world it doesn't mean I am also guilty for it. As an individual I can do other than destroy nature or at least reduce my impact, so the level" of guilty isn't the same for all
@2.5in Bore Offset yes but that is your criteria. Having a house isn't as bad as having a house AND contributing to the exotic pet market, legal or illegal. Consuming palm oil products or not. But this is a question of our point of view now.
@2.5in Bore Offset if I stopped eating meat and palm oil products, for example, I would not be consuming the planet as much as other people. If I don't have an exotic pet I'm not supporting that trade. So as an individual I can reduce my impact. And lots of other people have. Just saw your edit now. 👌👌ok then
@2.5in Bore Offset you can consider that exotic pet owners are keeping species from being extinguished and are concerned about habitat loss. But giving money to the exotic pet market does not help. And don't accidentaly disrespect nature conservationists that work alot to study and recover the worlds ecossystems. Some people are more guilty than others. And habitat loss is completely dispensible I wish it wouldn't increase but it does
Ever since I’ve been watching your videos I have been going outside every day and flipping rocks and logs and it’s amazing to me because I never knew that there could be a skink or salamander under a random rock😁
Yes NKF is the man! He always find the coolest herps, I even made my own youtube channel because he inspired me. So much so that I really have been going out and filming, I found some really cool stuff. But if i never found NKF, i probably would have never done anything like this.
Thank you for posting quality content consistently! I wish I didn't have to drive 2-3 hours to get to some nice habitat in Arizona. Amazing herps, but it's hard to get out there all the time.
I finally got my first snake hat aka to your advice. I found a water snake along a sunny creek just like you said. Where are good places to look for snakes in wooded areas
I freaking love those salamanders. I like seeing other animals in your videos. I wouldn't be mad if you want to show everything you see, and that includes reptiles AND amphibians. Hell, I'd even settle for an arachnid every once in a while! While were at it, grab a shot of a squirrel, too! Don't forget mushrooms! 😎😂
Hi random person looking through the comments I hope you have a nice day and just letting you know to stay positive and u will make it through this coronia virus stuff. Be safe stay home I love you
David Ewing Those guys mostly feed on earthworms and small soft-bodied invertebrates such as insect larvae. They may musk, defecate, or probe the hand with their tail spine when picked up, but they do not attempt to bite.
What are usually the first snakes that come out of hibernation for me. Commonly here in mass I catch garter snakes ring necks water snakes and racers and milk snakes but I want to move down to South Carolina
Nice going Noah ! Those Kings were awesome even though they were in shed. How about making a trip down to S Ga and target Canebrakes and EDBs that would be an awesome video. I understand you are kinda limited with what's going on and all but at some point it would be epic😎
Quick question how long does it take for the ground to dry under pieces of tin? I have a woods right behind my house and a church owns it but don’t use most of the land, so my neighbor could barely see my boards and was being very mean and was like cursing me out to move the boards and the boards have been there for a while so it’s a shame
Hay buddy kinda new to your channel . Really like the videos they are very educational and fun to watch had a question for you do you own or keep any reptiles or amphibians as pets or have the collection? Once again thanks for the videos and I hope your day is great
I haven't been able to get out herping lately. I am about to adopt 2 box turtles from a rescue though. It sucks they even end up at rescue centers. People should just leave them alone. Once they've been in captivity for several months they have trouble readjusting to life in the wild.
@Vada Minot I know, that's why people need to stop taking them outta the wild. Most of them that end up at adoption centers were taken outta the wild and can't go back once they have become accustomed to life in captivity.
@Vada Minot I adopted all of mine. They have the run of a 30 foot by 20 foot backyard. My fence is buried in the ground a few feet and set in concrete. My pitbulls protect my turtles like they think they are puppies or something.
Did you say those eggs could've been from last year?Do you mean they never hatched or were frozen when you found them.Cold up here in PA. A little early for 2020 babies---no?
You're fortunate to be living in the Southeast...back when I used to hunt for snakes here in New Jersey, you could easily go an entire day without finding anything. When you did it was usually a garter snake or banded water snake. Lizards are non-existent here.
Ok I have a question I love catching snakes and I always release them but this year there hasn't been as many I've went right times in my yard and only caught six so how do you attract snakes
Hey enjoy your vids although I'm not really a herper... Just curious why you say just a shame that the snake is in shed. I understnd they are shedding but why would you consider that negative. Thanks man.
So I have a question I’m 16 and I’ve loved snakes all my life but never understood certain things bc everyone Ik hates snakes they think I’m weird well how do they get out of their shed like does it just fall off
I've noticed 22 have a kind of crappy day of her being that you will often follow it up with a king snake opportunity. Whatever. It's cheaper than therapy!
I saw one of these at a pet store and they said they can be pretty aggressive but i see you pick them up all the time. was I lied to or do you just have a trick to it?
I’m getting one today. At first my dad was really against getting one, but then I started showing him videos of them and how docile they are, and how easy they are to care for. I also offered to pay for its food and some of the other things it needs. My advice is to try and convince them as best as you can and to show them videos of snakes being nice or cute.
Do ya'll think we'll start seeing stuff? It's been kinda chilly up here, but Georgia isn't super far away, so I guess I assumed stuff would be out based on how much Noah is getting
Hey man I live in Dahlonaga- you know anybody that will come move a den of timber rattlesnakes? I can handle one or two but lot more than that - don’t wNt them hurt but they r way to close to my house and dogs
Do you have photos of the area or snakes? If so feel free to email them to me noahkfields@gmail.com. I’d more than likely be able to come relocate them.
NKFherping yeah I’ll email u in the morning they r definitely timbers the one I got pics of is massive- love snakes they r just really close to my house like 60 feet thanks
That big king snake is staying by that pile of tin, because he is a king snake, and he eats other snakes, and the best place for him to look for them is in a big pile of tin!
A bad day for you would be the best day of herping I've ever experienced. Pleaseeeeee that is what I need

Hi i am a huge fan I loooooove your videos u are a inspiration to me this is my favorite harping channel
Great video. That ring neck was massive!
Ever come to tn and check out some of these awesome cave salamanders?
Thank you for posting quality content consistently! I wish I didn't have to drive 2-3 hours to get to some nice habitat in Arizona. Amazing herps, but it's hard to get out there all the time.
Our Missouri Ozarks king snakes, speckled, prairie, milk, are great, but I wish we had some like your Eastern kings.
You’re right about that mid April shed! My Cali king is currently in shed right now.
My red tail is... lol
Love your channel. It fascinates me!
Ngl your videos give me so much hope for the snakes I can find in my area!
And I LOVE finding snakes
I finally got my first snake hat aka to your advice. I found a water snake along a sunny creek just like you said. Where are good places to look for snakes in wooded areas
How you know they want to be picked up and bothered but good shit bro I don’t even like snakes but I been watching this none stop

The comment section didn’t disappoint with the expected “That’s what she said” responses to the ringneck flip.
I love snakes, and you gotta make the video so we can see them, but you are very respectful of them.
"Lengthwise he's a little above average, but his girth is incredible"
That's what she said.
Lmao. Thats is the funniest thing ive heard today
Giggity lol
Stupit
you beat me to it lol
There are fields and trails and I see snakes there often so try to check it out if it isn’t closed
How do u not have 1 mil subs ur vids r the best
Good eye on the toad frog man.
Hi random person looking through the comments I hope you have a nice day and just letting you know to stay positive and u will make it through this coronia virus stuff. Be safe stay home I love you
Kiara Chomos thanks you too 🙃
The red puppy dog lizard I live in western NC in Robbinsville played with ring neck , lizard , frog , turtles, always had something all the time
Do you have and tips for herping in a backyard full of leaf litter with two creeks? And what reptile do you think i could possibly find?
Just want to say thanks for the videos. Do you know what those tiny worm snakes feed on?
David Ewing Those guys mostly feed on earthworms and small soft-bodied invertebrates such as insect larvae. They may musk, defecate, or probe the hand with their tail spine when picked up, but they do not attempt to bite.

This dude deserves more views

Before or after shed?

Peregrine Falcon before
Hay buddy kinda new to your channel . Really like the videos they are very educational and fun to watch had a question for you do you own or keep any reptiles or amphibians as pets or have the collection? Once again thanks for the videos and I hope your day is great

Jilly Bean the albino milk snake also enjoyed this video from atop my head (both my colubrids love to burrow in my hair)
Did you say those eggs could've been from last year?Do you mean they never hatched or were frozen when you found them.Cold up here in PA. A little early for 2020 babies---no?
Old racer eggs are very neat.
You're fortunate to be living in the Southeast...back when I used to hunt for snakes here in New Jersey, you could easily go an entire day without finding anything. When you did it was usually a garter snake or banded water snake. Lizards are non-existent here.
What type of scorpion was it?
I'm guessing a Southern Devil, aka, Southern stripeless scorpion.
Thanks man.
Here in tulsa we have tons of ringneck snakes i found 12 ringnecks in 2 hours once
What part of Georgia are you in I live in the northwest near grassy mountain but I can’t find any snakes
Okay I herp a lot and im addicted to your videos but this year has been kinda slow and I need some advice on how to attract snakes
How often do you encounter corn snakes?
So I have a question I’m 16 and I’ve loved snakes all my life but never understood certain things bc everyone Ik hates snakes they think I’m weird well how do they get out of their shed like does it just fall off
What state do you herp in? And how do I check and see what snakes are in my area?
what is the white thing on his thumb ? 16:15 snake poop...?😭
Have you ever crosspath with a death adder?
Are ring necked snakes related to crown snakes?
How often do you find scorpions when you're out herping? I know they're not super common in Georgia, but can you find them with any consistency?
In the Netherlands we have ring necks from max. 1.20 Centimeters
You should try to herp at alatoona creek
1:08 there was a lizard next to the toad :)
I'm sure this is a dumb question 🙄, do king snakes 🐍 eat other king 🐍?
Timothy Butcher
Yes. That’s where the king designation comes from. Milkshakes are cannibalistic also
so what do u do after u find the snakes?
How can you tell between a male and a female for the king snakes?
I want to go herping but I don’t know which snakes are good or bad venomous...
I know that copperheads are very common here.
Have you ever seen an rubber boa?
I’m mean love
💖💖💘💘love the little snake
Love
I’m guessing the reason there was only a racer under that looong mat was because he’s a grump
How do you know if they're in shed
Even if it’s in shed it’s better than what I find 😂
Dylan Steely me too
do you have tarantula's where you are living at? want to see it atleast once! thanks
Darn! I was hoping for another eastern hoggie.
Can someone tell me how he finds good herping spots in his area?? I can never find good ones
Gia Johnson lots of boards tin rocks and forest
Fruityy but like how does he know to go to those places?
Fruityy like how he says he found it on google eart
Gia Johnson yeah google earth or place them somewhere remote yourself
I've noticed 22 have a kind of crappy day of her being that you will often follow it up with a king snake opportunity. Whatever. It's cheaper than therapy!
I'm sure you've been asked this before, but what do you use for filming these videos?
I saw one of these at a pet store and they said they can be pretty aggressive but i see you pick them up all the time. was I lied to or do you just have a trick to it?
Hoping you're well. Been 8 days since a video, Take care, looking forward to seeing you are okay.
I want to get a snake so badly but my mom is scared of them so she won’t let me have one😭
Same 😐
I’m getting one today. At first my dad was really against getting one, but then I started showing him videos of them and how docile they are, and how easy they are to care for. I also offered to pay for its food and some of the other things it needs. My advice is to try and convince them as best as you can and to show them videos of snakes being nice or cute.
Your mom is unusual
Let's all pitch in to buy Noah some new sunglasses.
Best live your vid
🖤🖤
I haven't seen anything yet here in south eastern va
Do ya'll think we'll start seeing stuff? It's been kinda chilly up here, but Georgia isn't super far away, so I guess I assumed stuff would be out based on how much Noah is getting
This is why I flip path rocks
I wonder if you will have people asking what is “in shed kings” like they constantly ask about “in situ”? Ha!
I love snaks
may I have one snake that is non-venomous and that doesn't bite? I am from Indonesia
Hey guys do u think NFK is OK? He hasn't posted in a week. 😬
That is THE biggest ring neck o jave ever seen
Hey man I live in Dahlonaga- you know anybody that will come move a den of timber rattlesnakes? I can handle one or two but lot more than that - don’t wNt them hurt but they r way to close to my house and dogs
