E-ray battery at 1.9kwh shouldn’t be more than $5k IMO…could see it going up to 10 if there’s a lot of fancy stuff built into the pack, but power dense cells vs energy dense cells aren’t much more expensive per kWh. I asked you the first time if J R was going to be here, and the second time we discussed the preponderance of awesome you tubers in Wichita. I asked if you had anything to do with that, and you very humbly said that they were just friends and you just gave them some encouragement. You down played your role in this , but I would have none of that. You played (in my opinion) a larger role that you were willing to accept. You also took the time to speak with me even though you were actually working, and I thank you for that. My son and my grandson witnessed both interactions and thought that you were nice and very serious about cars. I told them to watch some of your videos and see just how calm and reserved you are on camera. I closed by telling you how I enjoy watching Car Issues and Car Trek. Thanks for being a true good guy!

Also the E-Ray and Z06 are for different people, GT vs. track enthusiast, so pick your poison. Also the price for the e-ray is insanely good! The only closest competitor was the NSX, and it was $50k more, and it only had a V6. AAANNNDD they made carbon ceramics standard on the e-ray, which sweetens the deal! It's an amazing machine and an incredible feat of tech.... if the battery really is a concern, then one can always lease it :) But it's definitely on my radar as I prefer AWD.

The answer to that Charger? Gear Vendors overdrive. I put one in my '68 Ford Galaxie convertible. Easy peasy -- I seriously was able to do the whole job (except for shortening the drive-shaft, which I had done at a local drive-shaft shop) in my own driveway, over a two-day weekend. Hell, the wiring was the hardest part. Even with the 3.70:1 9" rear-end I put in that thing, it had fantastic acceleration *and* did only about 1800-2000 RPM on the highway at 65-70 MPH. After I added EFI to its 390 cu. in. Z-code V8, it would get 20MPG, too. AND, all of this was with the original bullet-proof C6 3-speed automatic that it came with from the factory. Best of both worlds.

@@pierredelecto7069 weird. Because the Bronco didn't launch with 100% new tech. The 6 speed manual +crawler gear is new, but the 2.3 turbocharged 4 cylinder engine is from the Ranger, as is the optional 10 speed automatic. The 2.7 Ecoboost is from the F-150, and the 3.0 Ecoboost in the Raptor is supposedly a derivative of the one in the Explorer ST. If those engines have issues, it's not because they're in the Bronco, it's because they've had issues that were left unsolved before they were fit into the Bronco.

Thank you Hoovie for speaking truth to power which takes two ingredients:
    1. understand technology aka electrification versus ICE. You got a pretty good taste with your Lightning.
    2. you have the balls to call out Hybrids for what they are. They are a money making ruse perpetrated by auto manufacturers for profit. Long term reliability cost for ignorant consumers. Not just a second, redundant powerplant when most automobiles have a single powerplant which costs enough to maintain long term...but batteries fail like clockwork and a Hybrid automobile has 100 computers to allow two powerplants to play nice which are very different powerplants to meld into seamless propulsion.
I am not surprised you understand the tech because of your self effacing nature as you know way more than you let on but almost NO youtuber calls out Hybrids for fear of backlash from major auto companies like GM. For that sir, I say thank you for the public service.
