Chris all you need is 2 jl audio w7s and you can get a center console to house them and look factory. In your Chevy.
Eventually doing something similar with my OBS 97 GMC RCSB Sierra K1500, currently have a Sundown SA8 v3 in a 1cf ported enclosure (tuned to 32hz) in the center console position on a Skar 800.1D amp at 1ohm (about 900w RMS), it was originally built for my EP3 Civic SI and was absolutely nasty in there due to the typical hatch cabin gain, still sounded pretty decent in my regular cab GMC, but definitely not as dramatic.
Thinking about doing a console build, the current enclosure is pretty much acting as the perfect arm rest, but nothing more, sub is front firing currently as that's what sounded best due to rear firing, even with almost 9" of space between the rear firing sub and the rear cab, was absolutely blasting my back window and opening up my center slider lol.... turned it around and it was just enough to stop that from happening and kill some of the resonance from the back window trying to break out. (Not really, but it sounded like it lol).
So now, console, with probably a 12" SI SQL12 as I'm going to rebuild as a SQ build, still haven't decided if I want down firing inside the console, or, to just use the console to hide the fact that I'm running in IB out the bottom of the floor 😅
Leaning all Dayton Audio interiors, 8" subs (yes, subs) in custom enclosures in the lower doors for front stereo subs and midbass, 6½" lower midrange into midbass drivers also enclosed in the doors separately, 3½ upper mids in pillar enclosures as well as AMT drivers in the pillar.... the rear fill will probably be 6½ full range drivers band passed for upper midbass and upper midrange, and then another set of smaller AMT Planar drivers to cover the tops, and then use the entire back wall for Zapco amps, DSP, and power distribution, and as I've got both battery trays, two XS Power AGM batteries and at least a 250amp alt and an absolute F-Ton of sound deadening over, inside, and on top every conceivable surface 😅
Edit: I'm commenting while watching like usual, that first panel of MDF they were fitting for looking at fitment....that rear enclosure area they're leaving doesn't look like enough volume for that sub, by 8" SA8's 1cf looks way bigger than that...I guess I didn't see the side profile yet and should pipe down and wait 😅

I discovered like 2 days ago thanks to your previous video that I actually have a JL Audio 1000 watt amp under the passenger seat in my truck. I got curious and checked what's done besides speakers. Now you've convinced me to go get a set of subs 😂 damn my wallet hates me.

The inside sounds alot quieter than before cause that dynamate works wonders and you should do your doors when your in there replacing the door handle and it would be night and day difference!!
Back in the day, when I had my 4 kicker Solo-Baric 12's and 2 ZR 260's for the highs and mids. And 2 kicker ZR 1200's for my subs. In my 2004 Yukon Denali with 24's and a diamond grill. I got laid like mad! Sold it in 2006 and bought an H2. Still got laid like crazy. So I don't think the system did much out here. But it was fun until my front windshield exploded going 35 miles an hour down the road. I am done with that stuff.

Why not just buy a Ford F250 center console and adapt it easier and look cleaner

f150 & f250 with that style seats are all identical to the f350, so it would be a bit of wasted money to buy what ya already got

Do 28s I had a 2016 Yukon on 26s and sold them for 28s because they filled in the wheel well better plus just looked better if ur into that style

Good Ol Boy #76 they are both great but I support Jacob Fuller the owner of sundown because he specially designs every sub he makes and does several prototypes before he sends it out. He’ll even scrap a prototype that he has $5000 or more in if he doesn’t like it and it fails. But he makes several versions before he gives up
