Thats for sure, I have to admit I prefer this badass version of Crow before they sofened him up in part 2. Cant wait to link him up with Rean again in part 4 later this year.
One question I had is, how would the game be different if C and Crow were two different people in an Alternate Scenario, (not one in the same like, in the Trails of Cold Steel series we know in love) ?

@@overcomingwarrior Greetings, I prefer the original voice as well. While I was disappointed at the change, I am not apprehensive towards the new actor. While not to the level of the original voice actor, it was a good effort on the new guy's part. Cheers, co is
Lol I will be honest I wasnt 100% sure at first, I had my suspicion when I saw his S Craft with his guns in chapter 4 Cross Raven then saw Cs S Craft Deadly Cross in the Mine, with the cross in both that was the only suspicion I had lol, guess I aint a veteran yet 😅 but yeah this scene was epic.
Osborne the big bad wolf? Nope Osborne has been trying to find a way to bring down Ishmelga from the very beginning when he gave up his son and surrendered to it
@@overcomingwarrior no. Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated in almost the same way as Osborne just last week. It was a shocking event, and even more so because it happened in Japan.

3:51 "We cannot! We must not! And we will not! With blood and with iron, we shall meet out justice!" Such powerful voice Even Peter Beckman nailed that line, but it's shame we didn't hear his voice in CS4
You know, after playing this game again, I still can't believe that Rean and the gang managed to "forgive" Crow. Even if he didn't turn out to be the "main villain" in the series as a whole he was still a terrorist and still did some pretty messed-up shit here. His actions got innocent people killed or harmed and he was ready to obliterate Crossbell (you'd think Juna would have had a conniption after finding that out.)
I can understand that, but I think after Rean heard of what Osborne did to Jurai and Crows grandfather, Rean sofened up a bit, when you look at the overall picture in Cold steel some of the villains werent villains at all lol. I mean like Osborne, after part 3 I wanted to cresent slash his head off, only to then realize his overall goal was to isolate Ishmelga to a physical form to kill it. So I see your point with Crow, but after taking down Vermillion together they would have forgiven him no matter what.......as for how Juna was so cool with him, Kondo ensured they rarely interacted in part 4 🤣
@@overcomingwarrior Again I can "understand" him wanting to go after Osborne, but again, replaying the 1st game reminded me how many innocent people got caught up in his scheme. And yes I know that Rean practically doubles as a "Friendship Speech Generator" and it's a big theme of the series, but you'd think people with such a strong sense of justice and dignity like Class VII would be a bit appalled by the carnage (and that's the thing. They WERE appalled and disgusted by the terrorists until they found out who the leader was. Suddenly all those "despicable" actions are forgivable. 🙄😅)

It might also explain a lot if Crow suffered from some kind of multiple personality disorder or something like that, and maybe things like seeing how Cayenne was using him as a pawn and seeing Millium sacrifice herself is what snapped him out of it for good
Unpopular opinion: Cold Steel 1 should have ended the moment the Principal announces the destruction of Garellia fortress, and then have Cold Steel 2 BEGINS with this scene.
I agree 110 percent, in terms of the ebbs and flow of the story it would have been ideal, buttt I would leave it at the cliffhanger ending with Valimar and Ordine because Cold Steel II was too saturated, its like 110 hours of content. To add this extra may be a bit much 😅
@@overcomingwarrior maybe, but having a sudden mech battle at the very end of the game when there had never been a single one of those through the entire game (nor they were foreshadowed) wasn't an especially good move.
Good point, I think i had to replay that battle 3 times to clear it the first time. I developed the basics better in part 2 alot better, so your point is valid.
I'd agree, but the problem is that people who played the Crossbell games already knew that the Fortress was gonna get wiped out. It'd be a weird cliffhanger for them since it isn't a twist.

The whole Crow and C thing was pretty obvious to a veteran RPG player like me. Doesn't make this scene any less badass.
