Hey brother, great video and channel (just subbed)! Thanks for your service. I'm a retired HMC as well! I was stationed in San Diego in 1990 for my "C" school at Balboa. I miss that place. It was a great time to be there, right at the pinnacle of the hair metal days. We used to go to the E-Club at Coronado and watch the local bands on the weekends. Your collection is super cool. I look forward to watching more of your detailed videos.
Very cool because it has the non-recessed Floyd, and it's really light! I like regular hum buckers though, not into batteries! Also, I had a MIM Charvel with a shim, but it didn't really need it! Took it out and the first fret action was fine. YMMV though.
Love your videos, 1k subs in a month hehe! Here's a good one. Which one would you suggest getting? San Dimas Pro Mod vs San Dimas Pro Mod Relic vs Satchel ? Couldn't get a MiJ(2011).
Thank you so much! The relic San dimas would be the choice. I’m very happy with the playability but I did do some mods, see my video. I like the strong rolled fingerboard and the broke in feel. Out of the box? I think the Satchel played the best but not 100% on the fishman. I like the JB. Hope this helps! Thanks for your comment.
@@40gritguitars My wife won't let me get the Satchel one 😂. I only wish the Relic San Dimas had a maple fretboard.! That would be and instant buy for me.
I have the Fluence Classic bridge in an LTD, and I guess I had expected to hear a bigger difference between the two voicings. One just seems to have more upper mids than the other...no difference in gain level that I could tell. Not that disappointed, since its a great pickup. Thanks for the vid
Don't think I could have a signature guitar I get sick of the same thing I like switching up all the time. Even if something was built to my own specs I would get sick of it after about a week and want something different...
@@40gritguitars same way with women I usually like them hanging around for about week or so and then they got to go. And I have to go for something else after that and then I may switch back a month or so later... LoL
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.
My pleasure sir. Thanks for watching.

Thank you! I did 23 years in Dan Diego. Very fortunate. I remember the E club!!… “gator garden”.

Sounds like you have it all figured out!
You know, Russ lived with Paul Gilbert for a couple years, Lucky Ba$tard 😅
Yea, heard that! I think Russ played bass in Paul’s band… or maybe rhythm guitar?
