Morehouse Marching Band in the Honda 2014 Battle of the Bands had to be one of the top performers in this contest. They have it all for so a small number of members compare to the others. The have excellent precision marching, big brass band sound for of harmony, great dancing by the classy young ladies, and not to mention really good selection of old but GOODIE music.
They had a good show. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud of his alma mater!
I like this they're small but they not over blowing and the sound is balanced imagine how morehose will sound when they get them numbers up swac better watch out
Nice sound band!!! Great job and way to represent. I'm very proud of you guys; Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see you in the fall for HC!

So proud of my Spelhouse babies!!! Y'all may be small, but y'all did the damn thang! I'm so happy I got to see you guys.
Sounds like a Blake Gaines directed band to me! Regardless of the size of the band, he always concentrated on musicianship, technical proficiency and overall attention to the craft. This is what made us a good band. Can't forget his incredible talent for arranging, either. We always played the music just like it was originally written. No watered down stuff here....SWAC! Yes, indeed...a Blake Gaines production ;-) unfortunately, we have now lost him to Miss. Valley State. :-( I was hoping he would stay longer this time.

Why does everyone think people copy SU it's too funny especially to say they created all things marching band that's foolish HBCU in total have contributed to our style trust and believe everybody doesn't want to be SU that's hilarious to see that on almost every HBCU video comments stop full of yourself

Drum major routine was dope. It's to see HBCU drum majors utilize mace work/twirls in their routines. Has Morehouse drum majors always been this decent?

My take on how i seen the show. I truly believe the this year showcase at honda was the best in a long time. All 8 band did very well and this is what i rank MOREHOUSE BAND.

this band should have won they sound better, they have the best sound and articulation and balanced and phasing was good. No blasting I enjoyed it ,by the way I am black and good musicianship is the same for blacks and whites

The 2011 Morehouse College Band would have been a better band to go to Honda than this one that band really have the crowd this band and this performance is just😑
