@@terrydawson8371 well, Ricky obviously believes his best interest (money wise) is being in someone else’s band instead of his own- so who is the money whore 😂😂
@@boognlady I have an issue with Ricky remaining in Skynyrd and abandoning Blackfoot, but it still doesn't change the fact that the present 'blackfoot' is a scam in my opinion🤔, a phony reboot. I met Ricky once at a club show for their tour 'Medicine Man', a good album. He's a nice guy and we talked like we were friends?! He's not a 'persona' but real down-to-earth approachable🤙. He autographed the cd I had. Anyway, he can do as he pleases, even if fans like me no longer listen to this 'fake' Blackfoot 🤨

@@HotRockinJohnny I agree all the musicians here are good, but I wonder what possessed them to want to take on the "Blackfoot" name? I know Rickey endorsed it, and allowed it, but If I were these guys, i'd want to be my own thing. I'd rather do top 40s than to take on the name of another quasi-famous band. They were probably doing top 40 covers before they became "The 2nd new Blackfoot" anyway. Sad IMO.
Respect to the guys but with no original member how is it Blackfoot. The dynamic foot stomper of a band from 40+ years ago, Rickey, Charley, Greg, Jackson released one of the best live recorded albums ever , Highway Song
They sound okay but obviously everyone feels the same way about the original members but the weird thing is the last version of Blackfoot that I remember were four kids. These guys seem like dudes in their 50s. I wonder if it's a completely different version. This business of licensing out the name to completely different people has got to go.

I have just one question oh, just one simple question. Very simple question who are the suckers who spent more than a dollar on either one of these comical tribute bands. Blackfoot no original members not one guy even close to having anything to do with any of their popular songs or albums. And that goes the same for that disgusting band Molly Hatchet. How do people live with themselves spending money on fake bands?
Well...Someone licensed the name Blackfoot to these guys or they couldn't use it. Medlocke doesn't care - he's banking a million every week with Gary and Johnny. More if he owns part or all of the name. Business is Business in the Music Business, and while money can't buy everthing, it's true. What it won't buy I can't use. And God bless Artimus Pyle, who should be there. But that would mean a smaller cut for certain people.
@arkhllraiser Like Judy Van Zant perhaps? Artimus Pyle has a few ideas on the subject...But, yes. I agree with you 100%. It's obscene what some people will do for money.
@Dave C I'd like to tell you all a Skynyrd story. 1976 (?) I was living in Florida. I heard about a big outdoor show coming to Tampa, and my buddy and I attended. It was on a small colleges' football field with the stage at one end. The line-up was five bands: Air Supply, Brownsville Station, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniel's Band, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Steve Gaines had just joined Skynyrd. Well, Skynyrd was just killing it with the 3 guitar attack on Freebird, and they each took a solo. First Gary, then Allen, Steve was last. While Steve Gaines was rocking away, Ronnie, Mic stand in hand, put his ear right up to a Peavey 4x12 cabinet Gaines was playing thru. This mic stand had a tripod style 3 legged bottom on it. Well, Ronnie listened to Steve Gaines for about 30 seconds, walked up behind him, and swung that stand, with one of the bottom arms out at Gaines rear end, and hit poor Steve so hard in the ass he almost knocked him off the stage. Gaines picked it up right away, and Ronnie tipped his hat to the crowd, as if to say, "Thank you!" I was right up front and can assure you it was not stage craft. He hit poor Steve Gaines HARD.
No Blackfoot without Rickey🤩 Yeah, so he is in Skynyrd! Well, Skynyrd are done. They can't even put out original material🤨! Skynyrd is exhausted. Rickey could come up with another Blackfoot recording.Anyway, as they wish🤙🤩
we were there in Batavia, NY that night. Blackfoot, not that good. They piped in the harmonica part on train train. Molly Hatchet was mediocre at best. They need 3 guitars, not one.
This is the best recording I can find on UA-cam of this song
It was a sunny day with good tunes.
I said the same thing
Blackfoot without Ricky, Greg T, Charlie or the late Thunderfoot? Hmmm
Rickey actually endorses this band as Blackfoot
Yep! they sound pretty good to me...don't know what some people are bitchin' about
Good enuff for me then
This singer is really good. I’ve seen the original Blackfoot in concert and he’s on point

Saw them in 82 and nobody looks familiar. Is there anyone up there from the original blackfoot line up?
95% sure, There is not even one🤨. These guys are money whores shi**ing on Blackfoots' memory 🤑.
No.
Saw tried Blackfoot in Jacksonville at the homecoming show in 81 if you know you know gtw remembers it t asked him about it in branford on time
is this a cover of Blackfoot..?
where did the original band end up?
Forgotten it seems🤙
Ricky Medlock the founder plays in Skynyrd now not sure what happened to the rest of the originals

Is this Blackfoot 2022??? Or is this a Blackfoot tribute band?
No tribute. No Blackfoot without Rickey or some originals. Mainly Rickey🤩 is the starter to any evolution of Blackfoot.🤙
Not a tribute band at all. This is a cover band, with Rickey Medlocke's blessing.
I wonder if Vanzant had any influence on this guy?
All he has to do is take his shoes off. LOL

Is there an original member in this edition?
Is there an original member left in Skynyrd?
who are these guys?
How is this Blackfoot?
How is Skynyrd still Skynyrd?
@bodavis9586 it's not. And hasn't been for a very long time.
Ricky wouldn't front that band change the nameto Backfoot come on Ricky take the name back

Agree
They may not be blacfoot originals, but they are keeping the old music alive for the new generation.
