  • Yo guys, welcome to my comprehensive Legion TD guide. During these videos I'll walk through all the 'playable' tier 4 units, their standard builds including placements and values as well as common mixes. Just because a unit doesn't feature in these guides does not mean it is bad, simply that it doesn't have its own 'standard build'. Spectre, for example, cannot be played on its own due to the upgrade being bad early on but it is an excellent unit and my favourite tier 1.
Obviously many of these builds are understood information but I try to dive a bit deeper into them, explaining some of the variations you can make or the reason/strengths of the placements I'm demonstrating.

Personally I appreciate the guides, especially the insights into the changing meta. However, this episode was slightly painful at times and seemed to expose both how relatively random the game is and areas where theorycrafting just doesn't hold up in practice.
A prime example being the flying machine placement, where all the clever placements just get straight up outperformed by the plebeian standard placement behind the tanks. You end up contradicting your statement from the beginning of the segment after 'ridiculing' the option that turned out to be the best.
Then you have the magna half spot technique making virtually 0 difference in practice, yet you keep talking about it like it's a big improvement. From what I could see, with pandas it actually performed worse, whereas there was a minuscule difference with crusader at best even with great spawn placement (most were to the right as you mentioned).
You can't know everything obviously, but just know that from a learner's perspective it ends up not being super helpful in the end, since it seems like you're just winging it instead of actually showing the placements that are tried and tested. The theory might be right but the examples didn't really showcase it properly in this one.

Not a fan of this series, tbh. Thanks for trying, but I never watch these.

it's like masterclass for LTD and it's exciting when you know almost everything and you need a little bit more to be somewhat a perfect player
