German republic in 1940? it's just like the reich same stuff same focus trees same industry because Zai probably changed the ideologies or installed a mod. So in brief the defeat of the USSR wasn't suprising at all because simply the comintern were fighting the axis which had the powerful troops and allies which had the naval and air supermacy at the same plus the USSR probably still reiciving debuffs from the Great Purge. But surprisingly the USSR held 4 years I think, which is good and also if you look closely the Turkish were giving military acess to the allies which gave them acess to the black sea and started invading Romania and Crimea.
he also should have given the soviets more manpower and factories while lowering the allied manpower because at the end of the second world war the soveits were in (relatively) fantastic shape when it came to their ability to wage war while the allies (with the exeption of the usa and Britain) where exhausted
French soldier: never thought I'd die fighting side by side with a German German soldier: How about side by side with a friend? French soldier: aye, i could do that.
Thank you for watching! What timelapse should I do next? Please give some feedback and have a great day! :D also apologies for the SUBSCRIBER thingy, I meant to put it in the bottom left... I DID IT AGAIN 😓😓
Very good timelapse, enjoyed it a lot! But it was very realistic to be fair, the Soviets could never match the Allies economically, so therefore always less factories working on producing weapons and the war would just be a long period of fighting with hundreds of millions dead, the winner asking themselves that they won but at what cost? The only difference is the US would probably launch the nukes that were meant for Japan at the USSR. Great video!
The soviet union was sitting on the largest stockpile of tanks by the end of the war that has ever existed, had this happened the red army would've rolled any troops the allies had in continental europe unless America started nuking them, the economic strength of closed economies can't be seen in their GDP, which is why the USSR always looked economically weak. Operation unthinkable was frankly unthinkable
@@Linesweeper I think it would be pretty much WW2 all over again, except that the UK is stranded alone in Europe (let's be honest, the Soviet Navy and Airforce are no match for the RN and RAF) but this time it includes the Soviet Union's territories in the occupied zones. Would you consider though that ,after some time, the USA and the remainder of the Allies could outproduce the USSR in equipment (e.g. produce large amounts of weapons to counter the tanks?). Indeed, the USSR was a large military power, but the American industry would still be larger. Plus, the USSR would have to deal with constant uprisings and resistance in occupied territories, slowing down their process of development, unlike the Allies who would not control a large part of Europe. Also, just one more question, since this is an interesting topic, what would you think Japan would do in this kind of situation? I think of it as three options. Option 1: Japan remains neutral and focuses on rebuilding its military after heavy losses in China, leaving itself in dishonour (since most likely they would negotiate some sort of deal with the Chinese after many bloody years of fighting, probably a truce, if the Chinese accept it), Option 2: Japan sides with the Allied Powers, the Allies could negotiate a deal with the Japanese in exchange for exploitation of colonial resources such as oil and rubber perhaps? (they probably get rekt by the Soviets in Manchuria there tho, like irl). Option 3 is that seeing as Imperialism has failed in Italy and Germany, and Communism prevails over Europe, the Japanese Communists rise up against the Emperor and side with the Soviets. Sorry that it is so long, just wanted to make some points.
@@freddiemercury8625 dw about the length, but you are wrong about some big things that you need to think about. 1 The Marshal plan will not be implemented in this scenario as Europe will fall under Soviet power. 2 The USSR would not have the same type of occupation troubles as the nazis. They would most likely use local communists to reorganise new SSRs, France for one had a substantial communist party. 3 These new states would not only not be importing from America, they would be integrated into the Soviet economy, meaning that the USSR would most likely be dwarfing the US economy by the end of 60. Think about it, if Europe falls, what big economies can the US export to? It's not an economy made for self production, it was reliant on foreign markets and foreign resources. It has now lost it BY FAR biggest market to the enemy. I don't see a way America comes out on top without nuking them into submission.
@@Linesweeper So you are telling me that the only way to win this war is pretty much a Nuclear Holocaust, right? Well, I am glad that in the end, Churchill was considered a madman for this idea because let's just say that the society would not recover from such heavy nuclear fallout. Agree, allies started with more factories and a bigger army and probably a bigger airforce and navy. Soviet should at least have start with a bigger army then the allies. Soviet army was by far the largest in Europe
Yugoslavia was always neutral and even as a communist country was especially in early cold war much more likely to side with the allies than with USSR because Tito (leader of Yugoslavia) didnt like Stalin at all and so relations with USSR and Yugoslavia were very bad at time until Stalin died.
