Damn, everyone has that dream of being in a rock band...dude workin his ass off. Do that shit every other night for weeks or months at a time...and people think it's easy. Props to you sir.
if your passion is music especially drum its easy you can play the different technique and patterns its your music before you play you will review the music and think some pattern to fit in the music..the drumming came from the heart and mind and passion and emotion to the music.
@James James Im well aware of his skills. He's average at best. Now look at the drummer from Dream Theater, infant annihilator, or even unearth. That's skill.
Michael Knight lol, the drummer of Infant Annihilator programmed all of his drums for those albums and can barely play any one song all the way through.
@@timthegunguy47 Before? Probably. Since? Arguable. I'd say Bonham Moon and Carey are in his league. Maybe Grohl I haven't seen him get into more technical playing though
@@shhs1227 Negative. Nobody has the speed and finesse that Buddy had!! I'm a huge Bonham fan and as good as he was buddy was a far more technical player then Bonham and certainly Moon. The only person I saw that could come close to Buddy was Ed Shaughnessy the drummer for the Old Tonight show with Johnny Carson!! Check out the drum duel between him and Buddy then let me know what you think. 👌👍
@@timthegunguy47 Very true. And I will watch that duel But I will remind you that "kick ass nobody can!" can mean a lot of things. And there is no such thing as a best drummer. Only great drummers. There's a reason most people (people who like to listen to music or sometimes make it) will have Bonham topping best drummer lists whereas Buddy is also top 10 but never #1 from what I've seen. Technicality while playing isnt everything. To call Buddy Rich the best ever unequivocally based on technicality alone is absurd to me. Because as a former guitarist. You can play scales all you want but that doesnt mean you can actually play a song. (I'd also are gue Danny Carey is a more technical player than RIch anyway.) And just to be clear this isnt to shit on Buddy or anything. He truly is fantastic like all the other drummers I have mentioned. I love most drummers and find they are severely underappreciated.
It’s insane how powerful drummers are mentally and physically, not only. sometimes when they’re playing live they could think their kit isn’t loud enough since they’re right next to it and only hear the raw version instead of the mic’d up version which everyone hears, it’s mind fucking sometimes, and their physical strength and stamina is even more insane playing upon an hour show non stop. props to fully committed drummers for sure
@@matthewleos71 He was playing the hi hat with the left hand and snare with the right. Then he used his right hand on the cymbals for the pre-chorus. Usually people play the quarter notes with their dominant hand, this guy has clearly developed both hands very well.
It's not always the most technical and chaotic drumparts that make people go absolutely nuts! And this shows you how a consistent driving beat gets people go apeshit!respect!
Frigging drummers are so under appreciated. Got to be the hardest worker in the band! So tough and they hold the tempo for the show. Crazy talent I’ve always thought. I’ve practiced and tried for years. Blows my mind.
@@robydee920 yeah, i did notice the sneaky 5th, lets just say for arguments sake, 99% of this song set was done by 4 :) still brilliant either way hey?
Seriously Drummers are sensational. How TF they move all their limbs at different times to keep the best rhythm and momentum of a song I will never know. 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
I’ve never seen anything like it. What a perspective. You keep the entire band together with your impeccable timing. Wow. This was really something. Thanks guy.
One of many great things about music: this song, Green Day's Longview, and Harvey Danger all use similar variations on the shuffle beat for the verse and the straightened out shuffle beat for the chorus. The difference is mostly in how aggressively each is played. I like Manson's beat the best, by a long shot, but it's really cool that you can adapt the same distinctive beat for three very different songs and get great results each time as long as you calibrate to match the song's intensity.
Amazing! So athletic! And I your making music at the same time! 😂 Drummers are just... built different! 💪🏼 Well...idk about all Drummers...but you sure are amazing! 😂🥰👍👀
Wow, very interesting view and I think it’s really interesting to hear what it sounds like back there behind the monster sound system. Drummer is wearing hearing protection which is smart.
its not only hearing protection, its in - ear headphones. Meanin he isnt actually listening to what we listen to in the video, he has his prefered mix of the instruments in his headphones
Easy drumming as I learnt stuff like that during my early recording years with Slim Whitchild Band as we toured for 5 years night after night playing big venues🙂

MorbidManMusic Even me as a guitarist when your soul is attached to your instrument it never gets tiresome.
Kenny B did this shit for 40 years...ain’t no picnic
MorbidManMusic Sure it is
Straight up man, played it super precise with oodles of energy and looked cool doing it. Top work!

One of the more iconic drum intro...
Right there with Down with the sickness🤘🥁
Hot for Teacher of the 90s.
The drums are from Iron Maiden "Running Free".
PAINKILLER
Korn - Blind is also up their. Top 5 for me.
I swear I’ve watched this video over 50 times, awesome drumming
Me too
mee too. always freakin unbelievable to watch......u talk about envy?? how awesome it must feel to be in a big band like that, livin the dream!
Some people just have it, I give you, Brandon Pertzborn.

This is so me. I feel compelled to hit my drums harder because I only hear the raw sound.
I’m sure he has a little bit of the mix in his monitors
This is the pinnacle. This is what every drummer works for and you're actually doing it. This performance is so tight. you are a machine. Hats off.
A solid drummer MAKES the band, it takes a high level of athleticism too
Open handed in the chorus, fuck I love that! This bloke fucken kicks ass!!!!!
Massive props!
What do you mean open handed? Sorry I’m a guitar player not a drummer

Triplet drumming lol
John Hickman then watch Jay Weinberg ;)

After Ginger, for me, Brandon has been the best drummer who has ever played for Marilyn Manson.

The song doesn't demand anything more than a 4 piece. It's the most ridiculously simple thing ever.
A good Drummer always plays smaller Kits it seems ...Less is More
I remember falling in love with this song back in Jr high it truly was the epitome of Marilyn Manson's music
Wow!!! I love that drummer..! He is Awesome. Mind blowing!
I was there and this show rocked!
I would be freaking scared of playing for Marilyn.
In my opinion they are both two different drumming but are both fucking amazing ive seen both live and they both work there asses off
Thiago Da Silva same lol
Why? Because of his massive crowds? The dude himself is chill as fuck
Why?

Saw Manson at his pinnacle the show was unforgettable! Glad my parents allowed me to go when I was in the 7th grade
