- Not all trees are well suited for training into bonsai. Some are less difficult to have immediate success with. In this video I cover what I believe to be 3 simple species of tree that are beginner friendly and have the potential for long term success. I also discuss how to start smaller varieties that are better suited to apartments and take up less space. Below I will leave links to some of the best products for cultivating bonsai and will help you along your journey with BONSAI.

Definitely more about bonsai 👍
Glad you liked it. Cheers!
Thank you for sharing your information and talent. I didn’t realize a bonsai could live such a long time or be kept in a very small palm sized container. You’ve inspired me to pursue a new hobby, thanks!
It is a long and rewarding journey.
I have Japanese maples seedlings that drop from my trees and grow on my lawn. I ðòn't Iike running over them wìth my mower, but there are so many I don't have time or space tò re-plant them. I have made some Bonsai from them but they always die. Now I know why . DRY ROOTS ! I am going to try some again this year ! Thank you so much . Love your çhannel !

Since Karate Kid i fell in love with these. I had 2 and sadly i lost them both as they came from walmart. I did so much to keep them alive 5 and 7 years but ultimately i think the way i did it killed them. Too much of a feeding due to walmart not really selling healthy ones. I wish i had them. Ill try another soon. I love them.
Hey there Bonsai Brother. Fantastic to see your posts. I began watching your super charged veggie fertilizer mixture. I will definitely try this recipe. I've started a veggie garden and I'm struggling with it. SO your clues are very helpful. Inquiry,..have you used your Veggie Fertilizer on your bonsai ? If so, what were the results ? If not, why did you discern to not use it on your bonsai. You've created some very nice movement in your trees. And some very creative styling.
If living in a winter climate, can these be maintained indoors provided they get adequate sunlight?
How can you not tell us where to get the plants?
What i do is browse my local nurseries for plants with very small leaves. Then find out if fast or slow grower, sizes available. And enjoy. Hope this helps. Largest leaf plant i had for many years was a Ficus tree. Went from a few inches to over 6 feet. Beautiful bonsai but difficult to shape.
Wow, what an awesome channel! Question: How do you get moss to grow on and or around your Bonsai tree? I got my Bonsai, from a nursery and it did have a small patch of moss at it's trunk( looked fantastic) overtime it must have died off. I have had my Bonsai( Lavender Star Flower) for two years now and it seems to be doing great! Thank you so much! Cheers!
Collect moss. Put in a blender, add moss and buttermilk. Pour over any area you want moss to grow.
@@ZenGardenOasis. Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome video. Been noticing the bonsai in the background of your last several videos and was hoping you would get around to them. Can you possibly type out the name I’ve the very small bonsai you mentioned. Thank you.
I wish I could get one of those Bonsais around here we only have the little tree type ones not the lil bush type ones and I have looked everywhere!! I would love to find one of those!! I remember awhile back, I was desperately trying to find your email address to see if I could buy one of yours!!
Speciality bonsai fertilizer would just be tree fertilizer, but smaller….
Have you ever tried herb bonsai with plants like rosemary?
Do you have any bonsai for sale
They're called mountain maples.
Why? Cause they grow on mountains?
Because they grow under other trees.
Wut?
