Another packed full of value interview.
Alongside the notes from his initial book, today was another 7 pages to add on top of that.
These interviews may not be the most popular for a big number of views, likes, and shares. But these interviews have extremely high value within them.
Thank you very much for another gem, Patrick. Too many more to come.

Attention is the variable... If you can get people to notice anything that's your breakthrough...Billions come from sales...Sales occur when people are convinced to buy...You can only convince someone if you get their attention...
Marketing is a process of converting potential customers into buyers... Involves Advertising, Sales, Influencing & Psychology.. To be a marketer you must have each in good proportions

@Chris Chris Well I am laughing at your perception mate 😂😂. How do you watch videos like these and are still so dumb. Normally I would not give a flying fk about these comments telling me why I wont make it. ANYWAYS, I tell self-made because nobody wont or will or can stuff all the knowledge I need to succed in my brain in a few seconds or minutes or in any time. I have to dedicate 100's or even 1000's to reading books and trying to consume the knowledge by myself avoiding the temptation of watching every movie, playing video games, or doing any other time wasting instant gratification shit. Others are only provding me the opportunity to work hard, The effort part of the equation can only be given by me.
And nobody is going to hand me a billion dollar company or take the risks for me to build a billion $ company.
and about the 4 years part... You need to research a bit on the "COMPOUND EFFECT" and what "NET WORTH" actually means.
I believe in myself because I am putting all of the effort I can into this shit and thus don't need someone's approval.
You need to change your mindset bruh. Be comfortable with dreaming huge though work your ass of for it. Hope you succeeded in whatever you are doing 🤜

The message I took away (Which I kind of knew instinctively) is in order for a good message to spread, it has to preserve the receiver's autonomy, it mustn't impinge on their perceived right to associate, transact and remain self sovereign. So the message, any message of importance must be indistinguishable from one they might have forged themselves left to their own thoughts.

The Subliminal Argument You May Have Missed 👇
2:32 Both Parties are happy and pleased to be dealing with each other
2:40 As you can see the book being displayed the most behind Mr Berger is his latest book The Catalyst. This implies that that’s the topic he would like to talk about. However, as the title of the video suggests, Pat already has an agenda that wants to dissect Mr Berger first book Contagious.
3:11 Pat is slowing getting to the topic of Contagious by saying ‘’your first book came out…’’
3:46 Mr Berger implies here that the book is already well known and that he has already talked tons and tons about the book and subtly saying that he’s not there to discuss Contagious.
4:11 Pat realises Berger does not want to talk about Contagious and he says many things have changed in marketing meaning that Contagious is still relevant for today’s marketing and that he wants to get a new and fresh analysis on contagious.
4:17 Berger realises that as he smiles slightly but he goes with it.
4:21 Pat acts as he’s very interested and puzzled about Contagious (you can see this by his face expression between his eyes) and he tries to get Berger to talk about Contagious by asking the question 4:33
4:57 Berger here politely answering Pat’s question and subtly saying that he wants to talk about his latest book The Catalyst.
6:22 Pat is still pushing his agenda and Berger smiles again as if hes saying “really dude, really’’
7:12 Pat is asking Berger to unpack some of the social triggers in Contagious and Berger again responds with a ‘’Ummm yeah maybe one or two only...a quick overview’’, trying to tell Pat that HE DOES NOT WANT to talk too much about Contagious and want to move on to his latest book.
8:40 Pat is still pushing the agenda of Analysis Contagious and asking a follow through question instead of moving on to The Catalyst. Mr Berger realises this and actually shows a sad/serious face upon the question.
10:58 Pat still pushing the Contagious agenda and hiding behind his ‘’curiosity’’ to justify the follow through questions
    THE FIGHT REALLY BEGINS HERE
11:13 Pat says Berger has a great product but he sucks at the rest
11:29 Berger quickly punches back saying even though Pat has a great product (valuetainment), he’s not the only one with a great product.
11:42 Here Berger is arguing with Pat saying that even though Pat is asking great questions that no one has asked him before, nobody really needs more analysis of Contagious.
12:47 Berger again tries to move the conversation to The Catalyst
12:54 Berger says that Pat is a sales man and that he’s trying to change Berger mind to discuss Contagious as opposed to The Catalyst.
13:12 Pat is trying to brag about his youtube views and marketing skills by telling the story of “The life of an entrepreneur” title, and trying to go even deeper into the topic of Contagious.
13:32 Here Pat is telling Berger that Valuetainment is serious and that Berger should kneel to Pat’s agenda of talking about Contagious as he’s got many more followers since he only had 1000 subs.
13:34 Berger realises this and touches his nose (a automatic behaviour when you feel a threat)
14:23 Pat is saying he’s a big man when he says (all of his companies websites were down) further suggesting he knows what he’s doing and that Berger should definitely follow his lead.
14:29 Pat is saying he not only gets views but also engagement with his audience and that Berger should trust him.
17:20 Long story short Berger says that Pat’s views aren’t everything. And that although people are watching Pat’s videos they aren’t really changing their behaviour. Berger is saying that Pat is entertaining to watch but that's it.
17:40 Berger punches back saying that Pat focuses too much on his views but that he’s not really moving the needle.
18:00 Berger really throws a dig at Pat actually saying that Pat is NOT listening to him and his wishes to talk about The Catalyst and keep asking follow though questions about contagious. Pat is really not listening.
18:14 Berger says It’s great that pat cares about his views but that he should also pay attention to what people are saying offline about him.
18:30 Pat gets insulted by Berger answers when he says that people listen, really listen when they’re having a face to face conversation. Pat feels insulted as Berger implies Pat isn’t listening. And Pat clearly feels differently as his face expression shows on 18:31
19:36 Pat keeps trying to brag about his audience engagement and pushing his Contagious agenda
20:00 Pat is saying here that He knows he’s not the best at interviewing or making videos, but that he’s got four or five people in the room to get the best out of his guests.
20:40 Berger subtly says he does not want to spend any more than 5 minutes on Contagious related topics
20:50 Berger says here that he knows Pat has a script and an agenda to follow and that if Pat deviates from the agenda Pat won’t be able to do a great job at interviewing.
21:54 Berger is saying that Pat has picked the wrong story to talk about and that if he keeps going with his agenda the coming answers will not be memorable.
22:39 Berger says here that Pat doesn’t have to reinvent an interview about Contagious, because everything of substance about contagious is already out there for people.
23:05 Berger is saying here that Pat should’ve only spend about 10 minutes on topics about Contagious to push out the viewers to other videos that have already talked about Contagious. And that he should’ve not tried to be creative about his.
23:22 Berger is saying here that there's nothing new really to be learnt so far from this conversation.
23:31 Berger is literally saying he’s not there to entertain people he's there to sell his latest book!
23:51 Pat finally gives in and asks question about the Catalyst
23:53 And breaks the ice by acknowledge that Berger has changed his mind and asks Berger to share how he went about doing it so
25:34 Pat makes clear that he felt pushed by Berger and at 25:35 he shows his discontent with it
25:55 Berger compares Pat with a three year old and says that Pat is pushing back rather than going along with him. Here he's really trying to say that he's the alpha in this conversation.
26:14 Here Berger is telling Pat to ask himself “Why hasn’t my guest changed his mind yet?’’
26:52 Pat gives in to Berger again and shows respect towards Berger by smiling.
.....if you want the rest of the subliminal argument let me know

I've explained word of mouth/viral marketing as more effective because it's an implied or even overt endorsement. The best way is to start with the product development, operations and customer service aspects of your business. The better those components are, the more you will get W.O.M. organically and less marketing spend needed. If your product/service and customer support is meh, the more you should expect to spend in energy resources and budget on marketing - viral and otherwise. Shore up your product/service quality and customer support before you blow all of your marketing or sales budget. Btw, viral marketing is THE most cost effective if done perfectly vs SEO/SEM, PPC and the like. I LOVE that he points out viral still happens at the dinner table & water cooler, in addition to and beyond online only.

Interesting conversation. I was wondering about the recently increasing trend of "music reaction videos" - so you can find out a lot about new songs or new trends in music just by randomly watching those catchy reaction videos. Would it be in the interest of music industry labels to pay random people to sign up as patreons of reaction video channels, and recommend songs to react to and thus popularize and covertly market new bands or new songs from the label? Is this strategy being used or all the music reaction videos we're seeing are completely natural and organic and random and just gone "viral" by chance, no money was involved from any investors who saw some potential in the relatively new band?
What's your thoughts and insights into this?
P.S.: does anyone know a website or youtube channel or something that lists maybe the top 10 or top 100 songs or bands that have received the most ever reactions on youtube? Is there a list like that somewhere?
(I could definitely list at least a dozen songs or a couple of bands that the youtube algorithm was putting in front of me over and over again... some songs having over hundreds of first time reaction videos...)

This is a good idea. I wonder if record labels pay these react Guys. I think they do. Music biz guys are always in tune with the newest forms of marketing

@@OyesigyeDavin I think the record labels pay people to become "patreons" of music reaction channels and thus recommend the same band or song over and over again... but this might be a very good strategy this year especially as bands are not able to go on tour and perform various gigs and festivals - so you can still see new fans reactions via youtube!

    • @nitaigaura4634
      @nitaigaura4634 3 роки тому

Here's the Top 3 Music Reaction Videos - at least the way it looks from my side of the algorithm - but definitely looking at the number of views / reactions objectively - these are the most reacted to videos right now:
      1. DISTURBED - The Sound of Silence
      2. NIGHTWISH with FLOOR JANSEN - Ghost Love Score
      3. JINJER - Pisces
P.S.: I must say all three songs above have incredible musical & vocal mastery and range, truly incredible & professional musicians & singers... so these three songs above can easily market themselves from person to person... spreading like a virus or wildfire... people and vocal coaches genuinely love them and are becoming instant fans upon first hearing those songs above!

As a follow up, I’d love to see Dr Cialdini, author of Influence: the Psychology of Persuasion, as a future guests on your podcast. Highly recommend this book as his principles of persuasion (or weapons of influence as author notes) apply both to our professional and personal life’s!

His observation of Trumps MO is skewed. He should follow his own advice of opening his mind.
I, and most people, as indicated by the enormous crowds Trump is drawing, hear “hope and inspiration” in Trumps message. Where we “live” in our minds is what we hear.
I will pick up his book, however, as his philosophies on marketing/people are interesting and make sense.

Hope and inspiration, thru fear. Yes, because he is great at painting a horrible picture of the alternative. Both parties are doing this. However, they both speak to alternative hope. Biden is for Black's and minorities and people who have been hurt during the pandemic. He stands for Obama care. Trump makes China the enemy, BLM riots the enemy, democratic socialist the enemy. Fear is the main motivation.
