That new front hub turned out rather nicely. Don't forget to weld some tabs to the axle though, would not want it to spin in the swing arm. Could pin in place too, i suppose.
I've always thought if you move that gyro up higher like you were thinking originally it will have a greater mechanical advantage to stabilize the bike.
Glad you went back to a two wheeler, more interesting I think. The pivoting bearing and swing arm is also interesting. 👍👍 Do you use the 1/2 button on the DRO? Its something I use a lot, you can touch on both sides and press 1\2 and that's the center, saves doing any math. If it's something that doesn't have to be really accurate you can just touch the side with the drill, you will hear when it its just touching, saves putting up the edge finder.
Whats cool is that if you turn the gyroscopes of the bike will fall over if guroscopes are on and in use you can hit it with a car and the bike would stay stable on two wheels
For stability, have you considered two horizontal flywheels under the seat. I remember seeing some old startup try this and a side impact couldn't knock their bike over.
My impression is that many have concluded that the center of mass should be close to the twin wheel axle on a trike, yours is the opposite, that may be your main problem. I think you made the right decision to go back to enclosed two wheeler, much more interesting although much more difficult. I will be following the build. Like your pragmatic solution based attitude, keep it up!
Interested in seeing how you handle steering linkages. I designed a hub center steering system for my motorcycle in CAD and it was a real brain buster figuring out how to angle and set everything up so the swingarm could traverse through its range of motion without creating its own steering inputs. Most designs use that parallelogram system like in Bimota motorcycles, but it doesn't seem like that's the route you're going.
I'mma keep commenting this until someone tells me to shutup lol. You should look into getting a set of desert tires for a sand rail or an ATV. Specifically the front tires. They are very donut shaped like motorcycle tires. Only downside is no treads so you can only use it on sunny days, and you'll probably have to cut the only "tread" they have which is the two rings in the center.
I understand how gravity and balance works you nee some gravitational physics in your life. The bike needs heavy gyroscopes, then it will never falls....
You need "training wheels" and crossbraces so when you turn right the training wheel on the left is pushed down to tilt the bike right. Or put the gyro on a swivel connected to the steering rod. Anyhow you need to force leaning without being able to shift your weight. Super cool build btw, been following it since day 1👌🏼🤙🏼
oh my dog! this is great!!!! so glad it's back to two wheels!!! tbh, when you made it a trike, i was like.... wut, why. >_> this is great though! can't wait for the next video! you got this!! :3
Two wheels is the way to go on this build. The front swing arm matches well with the look of the bike. I also really enjoy how you explain everything, even your fuck ups!😂 Keep up the great work!! P.S. Wtf was that in the end montage, a steam powered mower?!
Thanks for that input I like the look of the front swing arm . Yeah the steam powered mower that thing was wild didn’t work very well but so cool , you should watch the video on it
I was wondering, what's the point of making it a trike? It's like downgrade. I am glad you when back to two wheels. And the front double fork approach is very reasonable thing todo as well. I think balance is more important than the ability change front wheel with the same ease as on the car. I don't see any other advantage to single fork.
I'm glad you decided to go back to two wheels. A lot more work but it'll be cool
Yeah a lot more work but it is enjoyable doing something different
Totally!
''It's pretty rare and complicated''
Perfect.
So stoked this dropped
Fuuuuuuccckkkk yes!!!! So bloody glad you came back to the Batbike mate!!
That new front hub turned out rather nicely. Don't forget to weld some tabs to the axle though, would not want it to spin in the swing arm. Could pin in place too, i suppose.
There will be an adjustable link arm on the axle so I can adjust the rake easily
@@DktheWelder Oh neat, an unintended adjustment point! I didn't even think of that.
fucking delighted you've changed your mind! that front wheel looks the right profile and easier to man handle as well.
I love seeing your videos come up even though it's 2:30 in the morning right now
Haha well I appreciate you watching
Same Bat time, same Bat channel. I'll be waiting for the next one, so cool. Thank you!
Good on ya for sticking to attemping something new. 👍
You can buy. Pre built gyroscopic system for a boat that stabilizes the boat from waves.....
I've always thought if you move that gyro up higher like you were thinking originally it will have a greater mechanical advantage to stabilize the bike.
I agree I think so too, just worried about crashing with the weight spinning up high though
I clicked straight into this one when I saw you had gone back to 2 wheels , looks mint with the alloy swing arm 👌
Its good to see it going back to 2 wheels.
Glad you went back to a two wheeler, more interesting I think. The pivoting bearing and swing arm is also interesting.

Thanks Ben, I actually barely use the mill I’m not super confident on it , thanks for the tip
Two wheels or go home! So glad you are going back to the two wheels! I have a feeling this time around you are going to get it working like a champ!
I think so too I will be able to easily adjust the rake as well
DUDE. Thank you! haha.. I was even thinking about it again yesterday for some reason.. awesome. :)
Whats cool is that if you turn the gyroscopes of the bike will fall over if guroscopes are on and in use you can hit it with a car and the bike would stay stable on two wheels

Yeah the lit motors bike , I might go for that if my idea doesn’t work.
Yeah it’ll be about 20 times more difficult, but two wheels is the way to go.
@ 9:55 - I was like “This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System.”
Glad to see ya keep going on it! Keep the spirits up! 😎💪🤘
Loving the safety crocs brother.

love ya vids been watching since your early stuff good to see you getting the subscribers you deserve and many more
Thanks 👍
Looks to me like you need to have two gyroscopes
i am impressed by the swing arm how you went from cardboard to tacking a shape together and bending as you go to make a complicated 3d shape.
Back to a 2 wheeler, thanK🎉. Can’t wait to see next week’s video
Thanks , I have given myself a lot of work to do hopefully it pays off

Yes I am making a parallelogram, but yes I am worried about bump steer might be tricky getting it sorted
Excellent decision to go back to Bike. Love your work.
Love your videos, man. Keep 'em coming!
Glad to see it being put back to two wheeler
Keep it up man. This channel is so underrated

I think I already get how you're gonna balance them and I'm excited to see it. This is wild.
Yay for 2 wheels, good call
Gyro Monorail
Looking FwD to the next episode. Love your ambitious engineering projects. gyro ?

Youre awesome, DK. much love from Chicago
Haha thankyou, more videos coming soon
Yaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy! So glad it's back on two wheels!

I definitely need some sort of automated balance

Looking forward for the next part

this is great though! can't wait for the next video! you got this!! :3
nice job bro, gotta do what kerps you going.
top plate hinge should go to the front so it stays shut when you drive, like a jaguar hood
I wanted to do it that way but it wasn’t going to work
Much better now it's back to a bike, swing arms look great! But I can't help but feel the front wheel is too small.
Yeah the rear wheel is a 35 inch . The front is small in comparison but has a much more rounded edge and be more manageable
Good shit bro!
good choice sticking with just one wheel on the front looks miles more interesting
Awesome work.
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 I’m back to being excited!!!!
lol the well known and completely regulation "safety squint"... 🙂
Imagine how many eyes it has saved
"Hell Yes" 🎶

Your knowledge and work is impressive thanks for the awesome video
Thanks for that 👍
Loving it cobber.🤠
THE first one who build a UAP will take the cake 😮
sweet nice work
Safety squint always beats looking for those pesky safety glasses 🕶️🤓😊😁

nice one, aiways good to see another of your vids, you never know what your going to be up to next, lol, us armchair macanics luv it.
Better design this time I believe... maybe.. I love it.
Awesome!
how did you learn to backflip dirtbikes?
I learned how to do it into a pile of sawdust it’s actually not that difficult just have to fully commit
@@DktheWelder that’s hilarious I can flip bmx I just don’t have the right setup to flip a pit bike
looking good
Neat as made me dribble
2 wheels! 👍🚀
2 wheel YES
3 weeks my man musta kicked the bucket
Keep your eyes peeled mate video dropping tomorrow most likely
I'll say it again, dude this is cool.
How about a large, much more dangerous gyroscope?
Your sophisticated storage looks like mine does. Lmao!
It does have some problems!
Bimota style steering FTW
1 last look before i gave up to go 2 bed paid off
They e hidden gyroscopes from common folk for over 200 years.... Self balancing bike needs gyroscopes and will never tip over....
Shit yeah so gassed you're sticking with 2 wheels, you fuggin got this!
❤ genius Builder I need a friend like you brother 😂
next level
Good move
It's not a safety squint if you look away!
:)
Haha
The cyber bike
A few people have said that , might have to make it electric

❤Awesome 😊
за старания лайк но времени и денег ты потратил много а результат? какой из проектов жизнеспособен и реально функционален?
I dare ya not to paint it black!
I kinda have to paint it back as I’m calling it a bat bike , a brighter colour would be a lot better for thumbnails though
Good call going back to 2 wheels. A trike is as embarrasing as a moped😂 2 wheels is the way
Haha yes!
lol - great decision.
Thanks I hope so
Bat Bike not Bat Trike!
💪💪💪💪💪💪👌👌👌👌👌👌👌🚀🚀🚀🚀🤠🤠🤠🤠!!!!! excelenttttttt men!!!!
3 wheeler but make the front two wheels together you know just like in the trucks it will also help balencing
But it has to steer.
No thinking, no ideas bike need real tech... Gyroscopes
Honestly looks cooler with the two wheels in front, makes it way more practical and usable.
Much better as a 2 wheel
