Excellent video!! Very helpful. Installed the LX-Light 5.75 Inch 80W LED Headlight for Motorcycles that you used. Getting the bulb in the housing with all that wiring was the most difficult part. Ended up pulling as much of the wiring out of the back of the housing and get it to fit. If you disconnect the headlight bracket while trying to get the bulb installed, wrap the bracket in a rag so you don't scratch anything.
Bro! You are AWESOME !! your vid have helped wa lot to install and I got lucky that my DOT headlight were pre drilled. Thanks again and now my Ho da shadow spirit looks way nicer 🙌🏼
Thanks T3CHNOskillz for the great video and link to the headlight!! Got the chrome version for my orange 2012 shadow spirit..went great and looks amazing👍 great light output😁
Yes it’s way better. I was never a fan of coiling the wires but there was just no other way at the time. Once I found out about this method I ordered the new headlight right away. I just couldn’t bare to ride at night with that stock bulb ever again after the first time. It was so bad
Thank you for this video. Immensely helped to get this installed on my phantom. One question, with two screws attaching headlight to outer ring, i see the light can tilt a little changing alignment of throw. Have you experienced this?
I don’t have a video but I can tell you all I use is water and soap. Your typical car wash soap. I’ll wet the whole bike. Use a sponge/wash cloth and soap it all up. Then just rinse it off and dry. That’s all I do
I've been looking for an adequate solution to changing out my Phantoms stock headlights for months. What's the name and brand off headlight that you used?
I didn’t put anything other than what you saw in the video. I’ve had it on for over a year now and never had any condensation. Still clear as the day I installed it
Thanks for the video. I bought similar 5.75 headlight but for some reason the gap looks wide. I noticed that some seller listed a 7 inches as fit for the honda shadow. Just same kit but 7 instead of 5.75 niches. What do you think?
The stock light should be 5.75 inches. I don’t think any of the phantoms come with a 7 inch light stock. But you could always take a tape measure and measure the light to see what size yours is. Just go straight from outside ring to outside ring
@@T3CHNOskillz Thanks for your reply You are right. I just don't get it why I have this hideous gap between the new light and the circular OEM bracket.
I bought the clear lenses off eBay but the ones I purchased are no longer available. I searched Honda shadow 750 clear turn signal lenses and you should get a couple options

I believe they’re just yellow LED 194 bulbs. Like your standard turn signal bulb. I can’t remember off the top of my head without taking it apart to look at the bulb again
The red running like I just capped off. I only hooked up the main 3 wires since my headlights stay on once the bike is on. It’s just low and high really
I got an HID bulb for mine and it comes with a beefy ballast. Once everything is buttoned back up getting the screws in is VERY difficult and the headlight pokes out quite a bit because there's just no room for everything in the bucket. Im looking to remove some of the clips or something in there so there is more space. Do you know if there is a bracket/retaining ring that is deeper? Or maybe a deeper bucket? I'm not sure what else to do
The only things within the bucket are the headlight assembly itself and 2 little flexible clips to hold wires back. I removed the two flex clip things to give me every bit of space I could get. You could potentially get a larger bucket but I don’t know if the brackets would line up to mount on the bike without some form of fabrication
@@T3CHNOskillz I removed those clips already and it's still too tight to sit comfortably. I made it fit temporarily using my old friend brute force, but I'm not completely satisfied with how it looks. My potential solutions are: 1. Find a deeper rim (33101-MFE-A41) 2. Find a deeper headlight bucket (61301-MFE-A41) 3. Relocate the ballast 3a. Not sure how to do this without modifying the bucket to allow the ballast to exit the bucket from the back or bottom. The exit hole in the back isn't big enough to get it out. 3b. Maybe there is a headlight extension cable somewhere that would allow me to relocate the ballast under the tank somewhere? 4. Figure out how to relocate most (if not all) of the other wire connectors inside the bucket somewhere else (this would be the start circuit, the control circuit for the turn signals etc. and would be very extensive)
@@jonvarga5569 I’d definitely see if there is a larger bucket that will work before trying to relocate wires. I had an aftermarket video before where the wires were coiled up behind the light but it looked like shit. It’d be best to get them all within a bucket somehow

I kind of made like a hole in the center pushing the wires to the sides of the housing. That center button looking part of the light is what really gives you issues trying to fit the light in
