- This stunning tiny home has used natural building techniques to give it an earthen cottage look, making it a unique hybrid between tiny house on wheels and a small natural home.

What looks like a relatively conventional tiny house on the exterior completely transforms on the interior, where use of natural lime plaster has given the home an earthen appearance, something very rare in tiny homes, and as you'll discover in this video, possibly for very good reason.

Seeing someone only a year older than me having done this and having such wonderful results is so inspiring! Shows me that this really doesn't have to be a far fetched dream..
It really doesn't. Glad you found this video inspiring. 😃
Never far-fetched 😊 best of luck I loved every minute of my build I hope it is the same for you when you do
Good job 👍 only if you marry no place for families
@@his4evr2c
Then you plan in advance and make it so it can be a place for a family. Many families do live in tiny houses.
@@everettnorris6688 Amazing young man you are! Proud of you.
You can see this guys heart is in
the building of his tiny house. It
is amazing what people can make
from recycled material. This was
certainly very interesting.
I loved his sentiment about building with salvaged materials because you can do things you can't with new materials. Thanks for watching!
One of the best for showing lots of individual features he created. Excellent job.
Thank you so much😊 it was a blast building it
Just awesome....great guy..wise beyond his years as well
They both just the same tall👬
This human has a beautiful, kind soul. I loved seeing the joy that he exudes! Thanks for sharing :) Also, that stained glass in the bathroom is gooooorgeous!
Thank you so much BailaCate! It is so kind what you say, the window is beautiful i think it every day
Ps awesome name BailaCate!
Everett Norris you have an amazing home ❤️
I really appreciate his honesty of being like 'yea the plaster sucks, cracks like hell but I did it anyway. whatever'
It seems like hes tried to imitate rennisance era European interior design with the plaster walls and revealing wood frames. It looks too contemporary however, but good attempt.
There is a difference between imitate and emulate. One thing I do in similar applications, which I learned when I used to build Japanese tea gardens, was to include pine needles into the clay/plaster in much the same way that Cobb construction uses straw. Wonderfully strong and beautiful binder.
Well done!!🌞🌞
@@jackstrubbe7608 that sounds lovely
@Jennifer Nicole woah that was rude. People can learn about styles and state what they want no need to be so arrogant. Greetings from England ;)
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows on UA-cam! 🚃
Thanks Jessi!
Thank you Bryce🌱
This guy is a keeper, outside and inside... I wish him the best of life! That house looks so comfy and peaceful...
This is an amazing young man who is so mature, centered, and goal oriented at his age. He and his supportive friends and family built a beautiful tiny house. Bryce you did it again!
...Bryce gotta say how incredibly cool you are as an interviewer-so respectful of the owner’s pride and joy...you really must love what you do....and it translates in every vlog...you’re on my list of interesting people to invite for a dinner party...just also loved this stunning creation of a tiny house...best, Lindy ps are you still touring America in your own tiny home?
Hey, I have always admired Bryce's interviewing skills too. If you don't mind me asking, I would love to know who else is on the list of interesting people you would like to invite for dinner? :)
Swati Pai ...top secret-as the list keeps evolving:)
Lindy Firks Lmao!
You obviously need to build an impressive tiny house and throw a party in it. Bryce is coming for sure.
Hedy Lamarr should be on every list, bombshell hollywood star who helped design the technology we now use for Bluetooth. Just in case you wanted some inspiration
I love how you appreciate everything the homeowners have done in their tiny houses and acknowledge them.
This episodes are getting better, the filming, the interviews, the houses and of course the handsome host are prime time !
Haha. Thank-you! Really glad you're enjoying the videos. We're always working hard to improve the quality of our videos!
Very handsome host!
What a beautiful young man bless you and a very clever build well done

"spend money on things you can not see." . Exactly! Amazing man and he will overcome any difficulties he has to face in his future.
Thank you Sushiyrolls 😊 thank you
OMG He's such an Old Soul! Beautiful house! Thank you, Bryce.
❤ thank you Sandi
Bryce has such a lovely personality, and I love the way he says "project".
The quality of this house is something that we have not seen in a "normal" house construction at anywhere near normal price points for over 100 years in California.
Remember that the plaster can be refinished/refreshed after each move.
This is an AMAZING accomplishment at any age and the price point he was able to do this and the huge numbers of helpers is inspiring beyond belief. To have this many friends and family to help show how blessed Everett is and his humility and appreciation is beyond refreshing too.
I remember seeing this almost one year ago but this showed up in my subscription feed yet again and it's made my week to see this yet again!
Thank you Everett and Bryce!
Best part of this Tiny House Living edition is the line from the 23 years old that is invest on things that you can't see,Beautiful mind of substance mindset.😄
This is awesome! 40k is an awesome price! The more of these videos I watch the more I wanna start building my own tiny.
Well done to him, so young and determined.
He sure is! This guys going to do some amazing things.
Exactly how tall are you Bryce?
I mean you can see it in his face, the sense of Achievement and relief of building and owing your own home at his age. His gonna have some awesome adventures and life too, very inspirational and heartwarming. He has my respect.
What a lovely young man. I'm so impressed by his attitude and what he's accomplished. Wonderful interview !
Took me a few minutes to realize what was "off" about this video. This dude is as tall as Bryce and that almost never happens in any of these tiny house videos! So different to see you standing next to someone your height in a tiny house made to fit people that tall.
Zachary Champigny And he is so happy and proud ... yep...
He's taller than bryce 😉
I was just thinking the same thing
Wow. The house is amazing and speaks volume of its maker's creativity. But the guy is very smart, sensible and possesses a mature thought process for his age. I wish him well and really congratulate him for accomplishing this beautiful feat.
Thank you so much Hajra it really means a lot❤
I am impressed! By both the home and it's owner.
So much character and personality has been built into this home! ✌🏼
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed this episode. :)
Thank you Lori, ❤
I have seen this before and as one who always. Renovated or restored historical homes revel in the effort this man has accomplished and with help he never forgets to admit. Thank you for the tour.
Nancy Anne Berg Cocmelon
Wow - I'm so impressed Bryce. This young man has such a bright future ahead of him - his thinking is light years ahead of so many others of his age group (and older too). My hat goes off to him for dreaming of...then building this beautiful tiny "but tall" home!! Bryce, you're amazing with all your wonderful finds and interesting people you introduce to us - I'm so grateful. Thank you AGAIN! Take care my friend. ;)
Thank you so much, Charles,
Bryce in person is one of the nicest people I have met he really is that exited when he walks in
Everett Norris Hello Everett, I absolutely believe you. One can not fake his type of enthusiasm. He truly has found his niche in life. I wish you all the best too. Take care!
oh gosh what a loving feeling from this man and house, thank you for this episode Bryce!
Cheers!
Thank you Molle😊
Thank you man for sharing this magnificent house with us!
wow he is only 23 and got his own home and plan set out already, really smart.
This is by far one of my favorite tiny house tours from this channel. Mostly because of Everett! You can tell Bryce has so much respect for him.
This is so inspirational. As an Aucklander also in their young 20s, this gives me hope that I can become a home owner soon too with this alternative way of living!
I never cease to be amazed at the ingenuity of the builders. Well done, Everett!
Bryce, your channel is the best. Thank you for seeking them out and sharing them with us.
Your comments and the stunning photography are a glorious combination.
Thanks so much Sara!
Thank you Sara😊
So proud of Everette! My daughter turns 22 tomorrow. She's kicked ass as far as her firefighting career. But I am still trying to encourage her to build a tiny home. She is also very creative. So this would be a great project.
This tiny house channel would be nothing without the keen and artistic eye of the camera woman Rasa and Bryce who masters the art of enhancing the assets the house owners have put into creating their tiny homes , his positive way of commenting any feature or detail
enables us , viewers , to see why so many people choose that way of life . People are so proud of what they achieved , we can’t but admire them and Bryce who always rounds up the essence of what was discovered in their tiny house at the end of each video .
Like so many people in the comments , I admit to have become addicted to this channel and it gives me the opportunity to brush up my English and get acquainted with many accents .
Thank you Bryce and Rasa from a French lady in Paris who , while loving your videos , finds it very difficult to de-clutter .
What a stellar achievement ! His enthusiasm and passion in building this home the way he has, with the help of friends and family, is golden.
This is another gorgeously heart-center and home-made dwelling that cannot help but inspire awe in anyone who sees it. Many thanks for sharing Everett's story and tiny house. What a beauty it is with the stunning reclaimed materials!!
It is also a treat to learn more about the customs of the countries (in relation to tiny houses) in which you film. Bryce, you and your partner have been excellent guides to parts of the world that many of us may never see in person. Many blessings and safe travels!
So beautiful! Incredible design. Looks like a church inside. Everette is an amazing human being.
What a lovely human being. When he talked about the centuries old trees and how the old New Zealand houses are made from them, I got emotional thinking about the process. Best wishes and thank you for building with your heart.
Wow, I love this home, especially the reclaimed wood ceilings against the plaster walls. The entire place just has an attractive pull. Great video.
Thanks Raynola, glad you liked this one. 😃
Heck, I like them all. You put out a quality product.
Beautiful and you can tell he really put his heart and soul into this tiny house! Love the stained glass windows and all the unique details in the wood! Kudos to him! Thanks for sharing~
I love the compassion of sharing the stories of the recycled wood from old growth trees! Perfect! Wonderful! And cHarming! ❤️
Best part of this video is the love and genuine appreciation the homeowner has for his friends.
Beautiful home.
✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Wow, this is one of the best I've seen yet. Love how the stairs are not steep like in most tiny homes. The lighting in the loft is awesome and my favorite touch is all the creative carving in the wood, so personal and unique.
this guy could have a career in voice acting. beautiful house and awesome guy.
He has a nice calm voice, but he is also handsome enough to be a normal actor - very beautiful eyes!
I remember hearing about a guy that went to the same college I did, he had an old truck with a camper on it and just rented a parking stall from the college. Free wifi, showers, water, electricity and a place to stay for only $50/month. Not bad, huh?
really smart guy
Gravijta aaahhh So is East? Think He near by 😂 Would love to see in person!
Sounds like a great deal for a college student. That said it would have to be in a location that doesn’t get really freezing temperatures in the winter or extremely hot in the spring and summer. How does he get electricity at a parking space. Obviously he has to move his truck from time to time so does he have something that designates his parking space? Generally on college and university campuses and even businesses parking spaces are first come first served unless you are the president, CEO, or top people for whatever institution it is and they get reserved parking. Sure while your on campus grounds you have access to free WiFi, water and electricity in their buildings and showers in the various locker rooms in physical fitness or sports centers. Generally you pay to have a parking permit that allows you to park almost anywhere, but doesn’t guarantee you get the same space or even a space depending on the size of the college or university. I have a hard time believing that a college or university would condone a student living in a truck with a camper on it anywhere on campus because if they did there would be other students trying to do the same thing and it could lead to a lot of problems legally and ethically as well as the safety of the student or students who attempt to do the same thing.
Fabulous house! I've realized that most of time, I'm smiling while I'm watching your videos! Thank you for all the inspiration and knowledge you are sharing in every video! ❤️🌟❤️
I am 23 too and i just adore this guy's mindset, the way he thinks about recycling and everything... I wish him happiness and peace for life...
Such a heart warming story. When people work together in friendship, great things are accomplished. Just like this house. Thanks for sharing.
Its beautiful. The Led lighting feature is stunning.
For sure, I was really impressed with the lighting in this home.
Thank you😊
Thank you Saadia Meer 😊 really cost effective to,well worth it
The craftsmanship of this home along with the joy and pride of the owner/builder is breathtaking. What a remarkable man and home.
Absolutely beautiful. And the house is lovely too.
Thank you this is my favorite of all the feed back I have gotten😊 thank you
WOW. This is so inspiring. Every time a new video comes up, it somehow feels to have outdone the previous ones, in his early 20s and to own a house of his dreams...so inspiring. Thanks Bryce.
I have watched many many Tiny house videos, one thing that all the owners have in common are they are all beautiful souls, kind, people. I don’t have a tiny house in wheels, but when my husband and I retired we moved into a tiny home, became minimal, I could easily move into a tiny house on wheels , it’s amazing now little we all need to be happy, and content. Love this channel, love Bryce
This suits me, my past, and my present so well. In the 60s I did an earthsheltered solar passive greenhouse/living addition to my old workshop with cobb and recycled glass. My great grandfather had with his father built a waterpowered sawmill where I learned crafting skills and respect for wood. I SO love this beautiful build, and this beautiful builder! I nearly lost it when he brought up his kitchen top hat, as I, with friends opened up the US midwest's first vegetarian restaurant co-op in the 60s and COOKED IN A TOP HAT instead of a toque! I know this man's heart and spirit. Thank you Bryce, for a moment of joy in this present coronavirus craziness.
I live in NZ and believe me when I tell you $40,000 on a house like this is an AMAZING bargain! Let alone owning it. You can't even buy a house here with $40,000 saved! Especially in the big cities and in Hamilton where this amazing guy lives.
right?! Most of us have student loans more than that by his age..
This is both a home and a work of art. I love that he used wood from a bowling alley.
What a great start of one's 20s! This should be taught at schools, so that everyone can achieve to have their one home. I love the natural materials used. Congrats!
this is by far one of the most beautiful little houses to date. he did a phenomenal job.
Wow. Just wow. And so lovely. What a great smart young man and another fantastic vid from you Bryce. Thanks for all your hard work and wonderful interviews and most of all, what I’ve seen time and again, your compassion (& passion for tiny homes). Love, love, love this one.
❤
What a beautiful home and a wonderful ingenious owner. He just makes so nice things from a resourceful, recycled, inexpensive materials. They look very expensive!! He is so friendly and family-oriented to have so much help from his friends and families!
And, to end, you’re such a great interviewer, Bryce!!
There is something special about this man, and it's so beautifully reflected in his home. I love the way he speaks
Organic materials and organic approach to the build. Bloody great job! A+
flippin_son im none english speaker and having a hard time to understand the type of walls used here. Can you please share, . I heard them say copper walls hahaha
ed tolentino hey the copper is a metal which is on the corners of outside of the home. 1:09 on the right of the shot is copper
What a breathtaking home. The walls. OMG simply beautiful as it blends with the wood. Great job. ~Smile!
You can hear the pride in his voice on his home Great video
He is so funny, friendly & have sincere personality. The future GF or Wife will be in good hand. What a responsible & hardworking young man. Take care & God Bless U Everett :) :) :)
I love the picture he has of everyone who helped him in different stages. Awesome idea for remembering.
Love the friend collage. Sweet, very sweet.
This has to be one of the best builds I’ve seen for a tiny house. Very open and spacious thanks to the height of it. Use of the reclaimed materials adds so much character to it and reduces costs. The lime plaster, repurposed wood other recycled materials makes for a beautiful house. An excellent outcome!
I Just think that Bruce Is a wonderfully educated young man...he interviews the house owners with so much delicacy...never saying anything unpleasant to offend their choices...Always praising truthfully the good in all he's shown...such a rare humility and serenity in his manners....he is truly an aristocrat....
What a unique tiny home. I absolutely loved everything this young man incorporated into his build. Just goes to show you that if you have the will, the drive and the dream you can make it happen. And, to know what his goals were at such a young age was probably the key. Thanks for bringing us this build Bryce. 😎
What a clever young man! Brave, full of ideas and very conscious of his life, his future, his goals... And look at his eyes - how bright and vivid they are! BTW the house is very nice, too!
I loved this house. With the additional height, it feels so much more roomy. I also love the many big windows! It gives that illusion of being wider. That's what I have planned if ever I get around to building a tiny house. Great video Bryce!
I love this house. It’s gorgeous from the outside, but then you step in and are blown away by the beautiful earth house decor! Amazing job!
Such a stunning house! I absolutely love the plaster finish everywhere and the windows!! So many nice touches and features. Wow! Love that you included more information in this one about the specific materials and techniques used - I'm intrigued by the "tadelact" plaster in the bathroom. So many thrifty ideas too especially with skill sharing - having someone stay whilst they teach you a skill and you give them food and board is quite a great way to learn.
Love his passion and creative use of materials. You can really tell how much he loved building his home! Well done, Everett!
Thank you Ryan
All that wood is exquisite!. He is 1000% right about it as well. The most spacious tiny home I've seen so far. Awesome job.
Every time I watch your videos, I am blown away by how amazing the houses are and what beautiful souls the owners turn out to be. Thanks for posting Bryce!
LOVE the plaster. One of my favorite builds. The living room seating is a very cosy and inviting nook. "Put the money into what you don't see." - very good advice.
I hope this channel keeps getting attention. Every subscription is so well deserved. Bryce has such as genuinely warm and respectful way to interact with the owners and the same time invite us, the audience, in. Thank you so much for all these inspiring stories!
The owner of the house has such a wonderful personality and that suits this beautiful place well.
I love this guy’s spirit! He just radiates life and joy.
Gothic inspired creativity fitting for sustainable living. The home exudes warmth and charm just like it's owner.
This home owner is amazing. He really makes me laugh! And what a fun home!
So beautiful love those windows, these tiny homes are getting better n better sooo inspiring!!
Stunning build. Every inch was carefully thought out.
The comments on your videos are always so positive and supportive. I just love coming to your channel, nothing but good vibes and big dreams.
“Make sure you’ve got friends, and feed them well!” Love it
Wow, it's an amazing, livable space, quite impressive for someone so young!
I love the solution of using carpet in the walls for the lime plaster, which indeed confess it am earthen home look!
What a nice guy who designed a warm beautiful home.
This is one of the most attractive tiny homes I've seen, and I've seen hundreds. I love all the wood.
There is an adorable way the home owner talks about his home ! .
LOVE your corner sofa, which I would HAVE to HAVE, EVEN IN A TINY HOUSE. I miss that in other tiny houses.
what an amazing, unique built! i love how he mixed beautiful, reclaimed stuff but splurged on 'the stuff you don´t see' that increases your comfort. also, kudos for the tadelakt! i really hope we´ll see an update on this guy a few years down the road with him living in his strawbale home.
Every time I watch a new tiny house video I think “That’s my favourite!”, and then a new wonderful one comes along. This one is so beautifully crafted.
I have been researching tiny houses for several years. This house, by far, is the most gorgeous one I’ve seen yet. Not only is it beautiful it has the best layout of any one I’ve looked at. Absolutely love all the windows and natural light. Actually there is nothing I don’t love about this house. Thank you so much for the video!
This was an amazing video! I wanted to do plaster in my house, but was concerned about cracking during travel. I love the look, but it is so good to know that it doesn't stand up to travel well. I give this guy credit for trying it, though. This home is one of my faves now!
What a talented and well rounded young man that’s wise beyond his years. Such a beautiful house too. Well done. Would love for Bryce to revisit him to see what else he’s done and where he’s at now.
This is so beautiful. I do love the walls, the lighting and wood. You can tell how much he loves this home and how much he respects trees, the environment and the use of recycled materials - as well as his great appreciation to all those who helped him on this journey. Thank you, Bryce, for sharing this amazing build. peace
Love this guy, he clearly loves what he does and loves his beautiful tiny home. I could listen to him for hours
$40k for a 22 years old is a huge amount. I seriously need some savings or managing lessons for him.
Ankit Kumar, many people borrow from family to get a down payment on their first home. I suppose the same can be done for a tiny house. If you had been able to pay rent before hand, then quickly repaying the loan(s) shouldn't be too difficult with the reduced cost of living in your tiny house on a rented space.
He is learning a trade - construction trades often pay pretty well, and it sounds like he may not have had very big living expenses where he was living previous to living in his tiny house.
For him to be so young & accomplish something like this & to reuse all this beautiful wood is such a treat.. I know he will appreciate this for as long as he dwells among this tiny home
Such a warm comfortable feeling to this home ..from the love of him and his friends...LOVEIT...To All PRAY..Blessings Shalom
Wow this place is stunning. He seems very knowledgeable and I love the fact he stepped out and made himself a beautiful home.
