Vanilla Redridge Mountains - Music & Ambience (1 hour, 4K, World of Warcraft Classic)

- The Redridge Mountains, are located east of Elwynn Forest, northeast of Duskwood, and south of the Burning Steppes. Although it may be considered contested, Horde characters have no settlements or NPCs and it is thus a place they use mostly for passing through to reach Flame Crest or Stonard.
An idyllic region of rushing rivers, towering elms and rising elevations, the Redridge Mountains are under Stormwind's protection (though since the Second War it is technically a semi-autonomous part of the kingdom), and remain one of the last peaceful regions in Azeroth. The people are content and calm, and supply Stormwind with timber, fish, and crops. A force of Blackrock orcs from the Burning Steppes has secured Stonewatch Keep, and kept to themselves prior to the Cataclysm. In comparison with Westfall, Redridge is still relatively stable.
On the northern bank of Lake Everstill is the Alliance town of Lakeshire, the central hub for this faction's adventurers, offering many services and quests, as well as flight paths. As the town is under constant siege by gnolls and Blackrock orcs, adventurers should use extreme caution around this town.
The crossroads known as the Three Corners, located in the southwest corner of the zone, connects the town of Lakeshire with Elwynn and Duskwood, and via the Lakeridge Highway, Stonewatch Keep. The highway itself is quite a dangerous place occupied by dragon whelps, gnolls, murlocs, and wild animals. There are also a few camps located in Redridge - an orc camp in Render's Valley, Shadow Hide gnoll camps near the Tower of Ilgalar, and murloc camps near the lake. While the lake's surface appears peaceful enough, murlocs reside beneath the waves, and rumours of sightings of a sea monster persist.

Casting power word: Encourage.
My priest. Thank you :-D
I remember hanging out in Redridge with a night elf. We placed down a camp fire and talked for hours into the early morning as we fished. I dozed off and awoke to a sunset both in game and out of game. It's difficult when you don't know where those people are any more. I hope they're doing well. It's a fond memory.
reminds me of my story. setting is one of my first characters ever in 2005, when I was 10 years old. was chilling at the darkmoon faire, completely amazed, just treating it like a real life fair. Some gnome asked my night elf self if I wanted to see something cool, I said yeah. She led me to Redridge (I was like level 10, so everything was red) to see the sights and the rest is history
What a nice story :-), i'm dying cause of nostalgic
Such a wholesome story 🥰
the first minute...i actually felt homesick... real life can't compete with this atmosphere.
Simple and effective way to explain a lot of our feelings towards WoW Vanilla. I'm touched.
Thank you.Meisio
This brought back so many memories. The first time I ever played was with my 2 best friends. We were a trio of a Night Elf and a Human as warriors, and a Dwarf Paladin. I loved Warcraft 3 to death, but I was the newest player to WoW and had no idea what the hell I was doing. So after finishing my basic quests they ran and sailed all the way to Teldrassil *with no mounts* just to pick me up, show me round, and take me all the way back to Elwynn Forest. I remember thinking "Holy hell this game is massive!" as we ran along the roads. From there we all ran to Lakeshire, making it the first area we all quested together, so this game and music will always remind me of my two friends who are as good as brothers to me, and will always hold a special place in my heart.
Thank you for sharing
Well, thank you very much for putting all the work in you did to do so. It brought back some very wonderful memories I didn't even realize I missed until now. Very much brought a smile to my face.
I remember the 1st time I went to Redridge Moutains. It was the 1st time I saw an Orc. I never knew what they looked like until then. I was too low a level to be in the zone. I was just exploring WoW early on. When 1 attacked and killed me, at first I thought it was another player but higher level. I remember it like it was yesterday. But it was January 2008.
almost heaven, eastern kingdom, redridge mountains, crystalbrook river~
Always a special place in my heart for Redridge. One of the best levelling areas.
This is.. sufficient to fulfill the homesick, without the need to resubscribe to the daily horror of the daily quests.
Thank you very much for your works, and Redridge is always special for me and my wife.
exactly how I feel haha
I still remember the moment I stepped into Redridge Mountains and the screen showed: Contested Territory. First time I saw that and I knew trouble was close, back then this place was storming with Horde pouring in from the other side of the zone.
Yes i remember that too 😊
Late teens and early 20s were tough leveling here as a caster :)
One of my favourite zones, lovely
I was 14 /15 in real life trying to level in this zone.. damn right at the beginning of the song you remember it all
Ok. Let me just start by saying a heartfelt ‘thank you’. From all of us WoW vets who’ve been there since the beginning; this is TRUE nostalgia.
I remember each quest like it were yesterday and all of the memories come flooding back. The [watching my back] feel while trying to obtain a mission objective, to the ‘I just love fishing in peace’ feel... oh so goooood!
I LOVE the way your brain works when it comes to capturing the visual video. Even those who have not played the game can get the ambient mood that is presented.
THANK YOU!!
Thank you Kareem for your friendship. I am doing these movies for me as well, I want to have them when I get old(er). :)
this music while beating up on (or getting beaten up on by) gnolls orcs and murlocs
Haha, indeed :-D
Me to need my old friends from "Vanila",....and i try find new similar friends. But, it's hard. 'cause global psihology,....you know what i meaning.
The closest thing to WoW classic I experienced was playing Dragon Age Inquisition because you could roam everywhere and there was the high level troll fighting the dragon or something and that was like the WOW wow experience I felt. The game truly was about the exploring and leveling and the game just opened up even more at max level because there was no rush. Some things you could get through rep grind and others Raid/PvP. Expansions with 10 levels at a time kinda killed large exploration as we got 1 half size continent at a time and it even got smaller with flying.
I quit playing the game a little while after classic wow dropped and I keep listening to the music while reading books, which is what I spend most my time not gaming doing and today I ordered a time card off amazon and I'm gonna download the game again after I get off work. I think I'm gonna start completely over and just concentrate on leveling characters, not joining any guilds, not givin a fuck about being social on the game, just sittin back and leveling alts. That sounds good enough for me.
howd it go?
I miss the old Easterne Kindoms from before Cata, all the zones how I used to get lost on the way to new zones, and had to navigate.. I was very young and the game really felt like the best game, I used to remember Burning Crusade had sick graphics but looking back on it now lol..
Special history with Redridge Mountains. Loved leveling there but then as a NE Hunter once i hit max level i'd go to the zone just North of Redridge and kite an Elite Giant down into Redridge. Players were a high enough level that they'd think they'd have a chance against it so would attack, chaos ensued. Was pretty funny having this Giant run around killing low level players.
i watch this video twice a day in the office, it has the best set list
and than after work i go gank alliance lowbies in redridge with my undead rogue))) few more months and they will make legends about me "that guy comes at 18:00 and seeds fear and dispair among lakeshire until late night
Oh, your sarcasm is a bit dark. :) Especially because I am mostly a PvE player. Why can we all be friends? I know Azeroth will be always under conflict, but can this conflict move only on battlegrounds? :)
Bring back memory of first time seeing a silver elite on top of a small hill~
What a magic that I listen to everynights 🌌 it doesn't only make me feel nostalgic, it makes me appreciate the nature in real life, the sweet light of the moon upon the trees, the wind .. and memories, memories of WoW, thank you, Meisio
I know I say this all the time, but boy did I spend some good times in this zone. Another favorite one :’)
Even though by now, I played more Horde during my 12 years of WoW, Redridge will always be my favorite Zone, having my test account and dinging to 20 on my Gnome Rogue there, during christmas and getting the full version of Classic, with my Epic TCG Tabard just waiting to be turned in in Booty Bay, and just being in Redridge which always gives that Late Summer feeling is the most nostalgic thing I can think about.
I highly appreciate your effort of making all of these WoW videos. Thanks for the nostalgia!
Thank you! It means a lot to me when I am reading these things :) I am glad you like them. I am doing this for you guys, but for me too.
I took this decision of making them when I was almost certain we will never going to see Vanilla WoW (also seeing that the big music & ambience channels are not covering it properly).
I am very glad to hear the recent news about WoW Classic. But this will not stop me to finish all zones, since I am certain that WoW Classic will have textures updated, maybe some of the gameplay as well. And I have few left anyway :)
Enjoy the videos and please leave a message from time to time, feedback or your WoW experience. I am happy to read messages from you guys.
Thank you,
Meisio
So many dear memories from 14 years ago.. Time flies, enjoy the ride..
Redridge Mountains will be full of life again, Meisio my friend. Like these other regions we are longing for. The BlizzCon announcement unironically brought a tear to my eye. WoW Vanilla will be again, and better yet it will live along the retail.
Indeed, went through a lot of emotions myself at the announcement :)
We have to wait a lot though. It is not their priority now, probably will be ready in one year or so. Still... fantastic news! It looks like my channel's mission is not so dramatic anymore. :)
I can't wait. Very impatient. So many memories to relive. I cannot wait.
It's time to relive again
Gorgeous 29:00 waterfall + rain and fog effects.
Thank you :) Better than what's now on Retail for sure, although I've seen improvements on weather in BfA. :)
Oh how nice ! Time to dream ,uff , at this time world was better and wow . I could see this Video again, again and again ! If I hear the music I m in a dream, my dream the dream of the first and best WoW ever.
awesome,i feel myself better by listening this vanila music
Wonderful vid as always. Great nostalgia once again.
What a wonderful video man! well done, thank you
Thank you
Magical place, magical music! i really love this Redridge zone i cant explain why
Thank you for this, such a great zone!
Almost like Elwynn Forest, even the song is the same :)
P.S.: I think that's your first comment on the channel (unless my memory is wrong). Nice meeting you and thank you for subscribing :) Thank you!
makes me wanna play wow classic
as always, really enjoy the videos, Meisio! Would be great to also feature day videos (from the ambiance perspective). Thanks!
Magical
Thank you
Hey buddy, thank you so much for your content. They're really helpful for me; they get me through my studies with ease and are really well-done.
It wouldn't surprise me that you're channel is getting bumped up hard now and you will earn many subscribers in the weeks to come; because, I've been listening to WoW/skyrim/witcher etc music on youtube for almost a year now, and I just found this channel.
So keep it up!
Hey :) Thank you for your nice thoughts. Unfortunately I had a lot of patience and I've lost my hope of becoming a full time UA-camr. I'll continue my work nonetheless, but it's more like a hobby now.
You can help of course by watching more of my videos, like them and share to the community / friends (I've seed you watched more videos from me, so a big thank you from all my heart).
Kind regards,
Meisio
Don't worry mate; soon, once you've got enough uploads you can just stop uploading because the revenue will keep coming - since people can watch these videos over and over.
I don't want to be _that_ kind of UA-camr. I want to work daily. I want to create good content, be more creative. But I understand what you mean.
Thank you for your support. I hope to talk to you again,
Meisio
I love the little dinner bell at the end as a reminder to like and subscribe.
Doing what I can to increase the channel, without being to intrusive. :-)
@@Meisio I thought I received a message 😂😂
Thank you! You have made my month- I will reach out with any other suggestions, I appreciate it!
You are welcome! I hope it is what you imagined to be :)
Yes, lets stay in touch and thank you again for being a part of this channel!
Kind Regards,
Meisio
It is awesome, I love it! I would love to see deadwind pass and the hinterlands from vanilla as well- if you ever get the chance., cheers.
Hinternlands - next week and Deadwind Pass in 2 weeks from now, if not a bit earlier. I am trying to speed up things for the classic zones so I can finish them, I am really close of doing that.
looking forward to it!
and what is left doesn't have that much material after that - swamp of sorrow, moonglade, plus the small but varied alterac mountains and the most unusual ambience (imo) zone, blasted lands. What do you have in mind once zones are done?
Idle NPC animations have come a long way
What should I do if I am 30 years old, I have three children , and I desperately want to return to this world, but there is no way.
I don't know man. I recommend start playing 1 hour a day during the evening when everyone is sleeping. And maybe get like 2 additional hours per weekend too.
I know the feeling. Stay strong.
One of the best. :)
omg so nice
+La Fraise Au Bois Dormant Thank you. Don't forget to check out my other videos please! They are in the same style!
Regards,
Meisio
The sounds of Murloc and Gnolls ran this place.
Magnifique
Bellygrub was one of the dislikes for this video.
How do u record this footage? Do u just go and stand around different parts of the zone and add the back ground music in?
Crunch, stab stab, crunch and that's the spirit healer.
You sound like an Alliance player to the bone :D
Like all but one of my toons are Night Elves.
Back before that stupid run when you get ganked after grabbing the prison key through a load of worgs.... stupid quest!
Cataclysm had a lot of stupid quests in low level zones, the quests in Azshara were retarded as fuck and were a waste of time
Did anyone else think the NPC in the thumbnail was shirtless at first😂?
43:30 I want to open that chest
I'll subscribe if you let me tell me what your favorite pizza toppings is
Nothing. I like pizza margherita napoletana. Simple but with quality ingredients. 😃
